The 3-Day Contest Starts Now: Win a Lifetime Scholarship to How to Connect with Anyone
Today we’re going to have some fun!
Next Wednesday morning Sept. 4th at 9am PST is the launch of our third opening of How to Connect with Anyone, and today I want to throw down a challenge and give you the chance to win a free lifetime course scholarship.
To enter, all you have to do is answer one question in the comments by this Friday at midnight PST. Then on Monday I’ll announce the winner (we might even have more than one!).
Here are the questions:
- How would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
- What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
Tell us your dream in 4 sentences or less. All we want to know is how you could most benefit from the How to Connect with Anyone course. Can’t wait to hear!
Email readers, enter the contest here.
I owe everything I have to the people around me.
Everything I’ve created. Everything I’ve experienced. Everything I’ve gotten to do. And certainly nothing about Live Your Legend would exist if it weren’t for the people in my corner. The people who’ve shown me what’s possible and those who have refused to let me fail.
That started with my parents and family. Then my wife Chelsea. My friends. The authors, the TED speakers, the peers and mentors who have built things before me and supported and inspired me to think bigger and act bigger.
You see most people don’t do things because they don’t believe they’re possible.
And they don’t believe it’s possible because they don’t have anyone around them who’s done anything like it before. And worse yet, instead they often have a bunch of people telling them they’re stupid for trying. After all, what’s the point in trying if you know it can’t be done?
But that’s the exciting part.
Once we get a glimpse of possibility, everything starts to change.
Once we start to hang around people doing the things we didn’t think could be done, those ‘impossible’ actions, lifestyles and careers start to become normal. And with that new normal, our reality starts to change. We start to pursue the projects we always dreamed of, or better yet the projects we never had the courage or creativity to dream up in the first place.
Environment truly is everything.
That’s why we built our How to Connect with Anyone course and community.
It’s an in-depth training and community designed to guide you in surrounding yourself with the people who won’t let you fail.
It’s intimate by design. That’s why we only let a max of 250 people in each time we open it, despite a few thousand being on the wait list. We hand place you into mastermind & accountability groups – many of which have lead to best friendships and business partners for our past members. We show you how to add real value to anyone you meet and how to genuinely build lifelong relationships with the peers and mentors necessary to build your ideal career. But most importantly we provide an online community and environment that makes some pretty wild dreams and ideas actually become possible.
But you’ll hear more about all that next week.
For now I want to challenge you…
What would you do if you had the support of anyone in the world?
What would you attempt? Would you write that bestseller, start that charity, lose those 30 pounds, quit that soul-sucking job or finally pursue your passion for art?
Dig deep, get creative and have some fun with this.
Because with the right people in your corner more is possible than you could ever imagine.
I look forward to sharing that with you.
-Scott
P.S. You must submit your answer via a comment on LYL by this Friday at midnight PST. On Monday I will announce the winner (and perhaps a few fun runners up), who will get a lifetime scholarship to How to Connect with Anyone and join us for all the fun starting next week.
Oh and in a few days I’ll also be sharing a personal video of my own story of how changing my surroundings lead to a $96k difference in my income – always a fun one to tell ;).
Now take 20 seconds and tell us your answer in the comments!

Posted at 21:44h, 27 AugustHow would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
Though she may not be in the same world that I can see, feel, and live in; I still dream everyday to be able to hear my mom’s advice, again. As a 21 year old recent graduate, first time “real world” explorer, Corporate America fresh meat, and by definition, orphan; I constantly read old letters, think of old advice, and talk out loud to the air where she is to try to find the messages that she is giving me to help me find myself and find my purpose in life. When you have that person, a person who knows you more than you know yourself, who sees the possibility in your spirit, and gives you their strength when you are weak, you feel as if you can conquer the world.
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I would pursue every creative outlet I have ever dreamed of, explore cities and learn new cultures, study people, and find out who I am. Most importantly, I would narrate my journey to help others who feel lost (whether or not they have lost people in their lives, everyone can recall a time they themselves have been lost). I would create outlets for young people with limited budgets to be able to explore the world and learn about people, careers, and ideas that they never thought they could discover before. Motivating and inspiring people to not give into the status quo and to find themselves however they see fit.

Posted at 21:48h, 28 AugustOh, but the journey of life has already been narrated; in the life of Jesus Christ. The beautiful thing about knowing your Creator is that He is the perfect guide when the fog seems as thick as pea-soup around life. With Him, there is no more worry.
Though it first involves being accountable to our own actions, accepting Him as Savior replaces the consequences of those actions with new life and peace. “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” (John sixteen : thirty three)
Think of it! Not avoided or postponed, but OVERCOME. Truly, with Him all things are possible. And all He’s waiting for is your prayer of request.

Have you ever thought about running a blog? You’ll be able to figure yourself out as you write and you’ll be “Motivating and inspiring people to not give into the status quo and to find themselves however they see fit.”

Posted at 08:22h, 28 AugustIt is a good question. Thanks to people like you, in just a few years I have turned my life around and went from broke world-wanderer to corporate manager. I have found the strength within me and gained immense self-confidence in what I can accomplish, and took massive action.
I have changed myself, but I have stopped trying to change the world.
If I had the help of one person, I don’t know who that might be, but it should be someone immensely powerful and righteous. If I had their support, I would create a strategy to turn the situation of the country I was born in around.
My goal would be to change people’s attitudes and let them know that there is a way out of criminality and disillusionment; restore a legal politics system; promote justice, security, happiness and well-being to make Italy a country to live in again.

Posted at 08:33h, 28 AugustI believe my dreams are possible and achievable. It has taken me years to finally know what I want to do. However much it seems possible, it feels late now because I have wasted so much time and essence that I feel the urgency to get everything up at once.
My dream is to create opportunities for education to young children, let them learn life lessons the practical way and learn from them. In part, I would be pursuing a life of freedom.
Davis Nguyen
Posted at 20:48h, 29 AugustCorrinne, have you read josh kaufman’s work? He talks about exactly that: practical learning. if we can apply practical learning to lives of children it would be a great way to get your dream started.

Posted at 01:15h, 30 AugustHave you considered becoming a tutor? I also share your dream & after years of putting off tutoring, I applied and begin tutoring next week. There’s no time like the present to make your dreams come true, one step at a time.

Posted at 09:10h, 28 AugustI would assist the impoverished and disenfranchised in the city of Baltimore by creating jobs and businesses within their community. We would capitalize the businesses, train management and workers and then transfer the ownership of the business to them once the business was stabilized. Then replicate this in other impoverished inner-city areas.

Posted at 10:17h, 28 August1. I have a few life time goals and dreams I want to fulfill before I die. However, for the biggest among them there are some institutional, financial or social obstacles which prevent me from tackling them. Having a person which is in power to overcome these obstacles would facilitate taking the first step and give me the necessary belief that with him or her it is finally possible. It would give me the momentum I need.
2. My most passionate goal is to change the educational system (in Germany and then in the entire industrialized world) from teaching simple knowledge of disciplines like language, science or history to teaching values, self-realization, consciousness and courage – which means supporting individual extraordinary personalities. I believe that only education can really make a change in this world and solve our biggest challenges like hunger, war or destruction of the environment. Unfortunately, education is mostly under control of politics which is trying hard to maintain the existing system.

Posted at 10:22h, 28 AugustI would organize and do seminars about how to change limiting beliefs, partly for doing work you love, and partly for parents about how to raise children so that the next generation could grow up with less fear, more courage and be more content with life. I would invite people to these events, and also translate their books and materials to spread their ideas.
I would work (as in small, I already do) to help people stop wasting their time with things they don’t care about, and help them find their creativity to live with joy and passion. I also want to be a part of changing the mentality of many Hungarians about what one is capable of and help people to find their strength to change their lives. (And create ebooks, webinars, online and live courses about it).
I would record my music in a studio and publish it, and also help other artists to get rid of their limiting beliefs and show their creativity to the world.

Posted at 10:36h, 28 AugustI would create an amazing soul music band with people that share my values of ethics, honesty, equality and kindness that would create, record and perform music to share these values and inspire the people of the world to live their dreams, love and take action, feel amazing and dance!

Posted at 20:55h, 29 AugustHaha, I love this. I have a friend who actually did something similar, by posting an ad on craig’s list and listening to local musicians, grabbing coffee with them, and then picking the ones who also shared his values.

Posted at 10:40h, 28 AugustIt’s a great question. If I had the support of anyone in the world, I would … I would … have a better answer to such a expansive question!
I would ask that person to help me feel like I belong to something worthwhile. What would I do with that relationship? There is so much rage and anger in this world, I would like to find a way to help reduce it. Maybe produce a series of commercials (tv, print, web) in every country giving the audience functional options that work? Tools to use our instinctive competitiveness in a positive way.
It would be a challenge reaching everyone — and that would also part of the fun.

Posted at 10:47h, 28 August3-Day Scholarship Contest: What Would You Do If You Had the Help of ANYONE You Wanted?
After a lot of thought, I would have to say: Rajiv Surendra: https://www.facebook.com/lettersinink. People may recognize Surendra as Kevin Gnapoor in “Mean Girls,” but what he has done since has been breathtaking and extremely inspirational to me. He created Letters in Ink: http://lettersinink.com/category/rajiv-surendra/ and documents his amazing calligraphy talent. From his Facebook page: “Hand-written correspondence is beginning to have such a special role in this digital world we live in. If anything, I hope I have inspired you turn off your computer, put aside your cell phone, and perhaps write down a few words to someone you care about – the old fashioned way – with letters in ink.”
There are many individuals I would feel honored meeting and receiving help from: my thoughts ranged from Oprah, Albert Bandura: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albert_Bandura, Bethenney Frankel, David Kelley (creator of IDEO – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=16p9YRF0l-g), Joseph Gordon Levitt (creator of hitRECord), you, Scott Dinsmore and other creative souls. I would love the support and ability to throw ideas off of a long-term gratitude website from those individuals.
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
With the help of Surendra, I would discuss the tools needed to make my passion of calligraphy something I could make a career out of in the interim of gaining funding for my gratitude website. Calligraphy is what gets my “flow” going on a daily basis and allows me to escape my own internal pressures and after reading Malcom Gladwell’s “Outliers,” I took away this: “The emerging picture from such studies is that ten thousand hours of practice is required to achieve the level of mastery associated with being a world-class expert – in anything. In study after study, of composers, basketball players, fiction writers, ice skaters, concert pianists, chess players, master criminals and what have you, this number comes up again and again… It seems that it takes the brain this long to assimilate all that it needs to know to achieve true mastery.”

Posted at 11:53h, 28 AugustQ:How would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
A:Absolut trust leads to success. The presence of someone admired helping you is the key for doing it with all your heart. Failure will always exist, learn from it. Fear will decrease after a few mistakes, if you have this trusted and admired person with you.
Q:What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
A:I wanna live surounded by people i admire and work with them. I´d create some new language on video, something educational and also exciting to watch, breaking patterns of this kind of videos. Something conecting the knowledge of Advaita Vedanta, and showing it´s presence on every day life, inviting people to reflection and action upon their on lifes.

Posted at 11:58h, 28 AugustI’d create an obstacle course race series (sans mud, and similar in concept to the Chase Corporate Challenge series), complete with an entry level training app that encourages people to learn to play again, and helps office workers address key strength/stretching/fitness problems they encounter from sitting for long periods of time at work. I’d challenge companies to compete against one another to raise as much money for charity as possible through a raffle program, and then think of the event as a fun time to connect with co-workers, both on the course, and at the festival/events at the finish.
Davis Nguyen
Posted at 20:56h, 29 AugustI like this Michele, have you ever tried beginning with your own office or a nearby for free? I haven’t heard of this, but I know if I was a manager and you did this I would spread the word to whoever would listen.

Posted at 12:09h, 28 AugustWhat would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I would pursue revolution for positive change in a world full of the most dangerous people of all – the complacent. I would create I would create space and balance in my life to serve as a retreat of refuge from battles of revolution. I would uplevel and innovate my coaching business and change how people are served so it is better, more accessible, more beneficial to anyone who dares to pursue excellence and join in the revolution. I start with my newsletter – I am tired of having my time wasted by newsletters in my inbox who went to tagline school to get me to open them but they are empty and void of human experience or connection… I am wear of regurgitated blog posts and sales hype. I am more than that. I desire to start a revolution of positive change from how business is done, how lives are lived and how battles are won. Many times , all a revolution takes is one right connection – and even one wrong one; and one conversation. That is how armies are built, battles won, and revolutions begun!

Posted at 12:12h, 28 AugustWow!
My life would be amazingly different since I could really focus on living my life’s purpose instead of trying to do everything myself as a solopreneur to make it happen.
I could focus on giving my gifts: painting, writing, coaching and inspiring others, and let those who love the other aspects of running a biz, just do their thing!
I would continue to help people utilize their higher spirit and understand their minds so that they may reach their goals and maybe even their souls purpose in this lifetime.
I could use a hand in finding my 5 people!!

Posted at 12:20h, 28 AugustEach one of us is like a tree – reaching high into the sky to reach for our dreams yet needing a strong root system to remain strong and grounded. I would love to have people in my corner to help me grow and reach my personal and business dreams so that, in turn, I could share that passion and knowledge with others and help them grow and achieve their dreams and change their lives. Through experience, education, self-exploration and growth comes an incredibly powerful toolbox that must be actively used to better others for us to reap the benefits. The more you use it and pass it on to others in need, the more enriched you become.

Posted at 12:23h, 28 AugustIf I had the help of anyone I wanted, I would quickly learn hoe to be more authentic and intimate and I would show the world who I really am without fear. I would pursue current and new relationships with a primary focus on the development of depth. I would create a system of intellectual, emotional and spiritual generosity that would make those who have been generous to me proud. I would be open to doing anything that would fulfill me, but I am sure that it would involve some form of teaching.

Posted at 13:19h, 28 AugustI’d create a television series that unveils the birth, history and development of the worlds major cities.
Imagine seeing New York City grow out of a forested bedrock island. Seeing the hotel that was originally on the site of the empire state building. Imagine manhattan island 400 years ago, 1000 years ago and a million years ago.
How would this change my life?
It would unleash my creative storytelling potential

Posted at 14:09h, 28 AugustHow would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
When you have the help of anyone and everyone, you can see that your dreams are really possible and you stop waiting for the confidence to come before starting your journey. I would dedicate my life to the service of other people’s creativity, so that they too no longer have to go on ‘surviving’ life but can start ‘living’ it. Like the famous quote goes, “Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.” I’d ask. Peace, H.

Posted at 14:12h, 28 AugustI would FINALLY start my ‘Health Coaching’ business after passing my Holistic Nutrition board exam in the fall. I would help low income communities learn about proper nutrition and simple ways to get healthy amid food deserts and 21st century life. This would enable those that most need it to stop relying on pharmaceuticals and western medicine that doesn’t solve their problems.

Posted at 14:13h, 28 AugustI am most affected by acts of generosity and good will, and I have always wanted to own a business focused on altruism. I know that charitable organizations aren’t necessarily the most lucrative businesses, but this suits me just fine. For me, I would rather live with purpose than with money. I have coupled this dream with a deep desire for travel. I really feel that I will reach my potential when I finally grow the cajones to sell everything and travel the world: volunteering, growing, and learning from the hospitality and generosity of others. Every time I get close, I become a slave to work, possessions and debt. I have confused my possessions with my identity, so I’m learning the art of minimalism. I hope to truly adopt this lifestyle so I can teach others that all we really need is food, love, shelter and support. I am currently learning how to grow food so I can teach others, and I hope to own a B&B that is sustainable and serves as an educational center where people can learn minimalism, self-sufficiency and how to live comfortably without needing material things. The idea is to connect with the self without distraction, and I believe people can bring out the best (and worst) of others, so my goal would be to help people shine. Of course, it will also allow weary travelers a place to rest until they are on their way again. By owning a business catering to transient spirits, I hope to reach and inspire a lot of people.
I don’t know who can help me, and I don’t know who to ask. I know I could use the help of a confident, determined person. I need to meet a “can do” individual who doesn’t believe in limitations. I’m trying to become that person, but I am a work in progress, and I don’t care who he/she is for I believe anyone with these qualities will motivate me.

Posted at 04:12h, 30 AugustKatie, I actually share a passion and dream with you. I would also like to start an organization focused on humanity and charity. I have always dreamed of working with one and my mum gave me the nickname “RED CROSS” due to my acts of generosity. Your comment went a long way in helping me realize what I’m really passionate about. Thank you! How about we connect and share views about this passion, if that’s okay with you.

Posted at 14:18h, 28 AugustWhat would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I will pursue the goal to make people aware that they can create a fulfilled life in line with our planet needs. I will create an agency specialised in sustainable finance which would target the most vulnerable or the most materialist to go through a inner transition to lead a more sustainable and stable life. what would I do. I would find the appropriate channel to engage an audience. a TV show would be the greatest thing ever.

If I had the help of anyone I wanted I would have an organization to promote art with children and a retirement ranch for dogs who were old rather than have them euthanized.
2.What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I would establish a foundation to work to get the arts and physical education back in the schools, I would create a foundation that continued on after me, I would lobby for the arts in schools and go home every evening to dogs that allowed me to treasure them even if they are old, limp, or are blind.

I am pursuing and putting into practice, in a daily basis, the talent of Personal Development so that each day I am becoming a better Being to the ALL.
I have created this green inexpensive product that 99% of the world’s population wants to have.
I am living the dream- traveling First Class the world over to meet and engage with people in both the personal and networking/business level, but more important, to LEARN from EACH one of them!

And most importantly to show our little girl that you don’t have to be compliant in life and you become anything you wish and dream of in life. Posted at 20:29h, 28 AugustHi Scott, here is my entry in 4 sentences:
I would love to be an inventor by trade, whether for consumer benefit, civil benefit, or just personal fun, anything I want to make I could make for any reason at all.
I would like to start a fund for impoverished artists of all ages and genres, because it is a shame that art is not as lucrative as back in ancient Greece or the Victorian Era and art is a symbol of culture. Artists nowadays are underpaid for a lot of work and I find that unacceptable that a skill that takes years to master through hard work is under-appreciated in a time where self expression is important than ever before.
I also would like to make a team of talented directors, producers, and production staff that can make media that can change the world through subtle, thought provoking, viral, and innovative techniques and outlets.

Posted at 20:31h, 28 AugustIf I could have help from anybody I wanted, my life would be different in that I would have a feeling of entitlement. I would be lazier when it comes to learning new things and might even lose interest in learning all together. I am happy the way it is: I get help from anybody who wants to help me! The help I get is from the kindness and good hearts of others, and honestly, I wouldn’t want it any other way.
Davis Nguyen
Posted at 21:01h, 29 AugustGreat way to put it Daniel, but I also think it doesn’t have to be a feeling of entitlement, it is only so if you keep score or expect something in return. If you use it for good, such as connecting two people who might like to get to know each other, you are in many ways spreading kindness and good heart.

I am a dancer, singer, actress and aerialist and I started my career at a late age for a performer. I started ballet at the age of 22 and since then have performed in many countries and cruise ships. I would also create my own website, write blogs and make video clips to inspire young performers and help them achieve their dreams. Maybe even life-coach them 🙂

Every person has within them unlimited potential, unfortunately most people do not know how to tap in to this potential. We are born a blank canvas to create anything that we can dream in this life. My Stress Management Institute teaches us how to tap this source, build on it, and become the people that we have always dreamed of.

I think we can use the power of both humor and shame to lead governments and corporations to fast and meaningful improvements (think SNL’s “Really??…” bits applied to global warming, for instance). I want help to write a joke that the world gets, and the politicians can’t ignore. My life would be different because we could have fun AND do good.

Posted at 11:29h, 29 AugustIf I has the support of a passionate and experienced producer/manager I would no longer feel constantly divided into two minds (one administrative, one creative) as I pursue my artistic aims as a theatre maker.
I would be enabled to be fully present in each creative project I undertake as the producer finalised logistics for the next; resulting in less pauses on my creative journey.
Working with this individual would halve my current workload so my life would be better spent in general through engaging more with family, friends and all that inspires me.
I would create more invested theatre, tour to rural communities, learn more about my chosen practice and have the time to invest in disseminating this knowledge to the next generation of artists and the ovwrall dance sector in Scotland.
Chad Kayser
Posted at 14:53h, 29 AugustHello Scott,
My name is Chad and I am nineteen years old. I may be considered foolish in the attempt of persuading – as I am inclined to stick around here (my home) while my father fights for his health. Despite that potential restriction of physically implementing a successful result, I remain eager to give it a go…if not merely for the reflection of my own efforts. I have never reached out to aspire like this before and the butterflies hit me as I type. Since you were a kick-start in a very important area of my independent study, it is only fitting that I also make my first attempt in taking action through you.
Though I consider myself sociable to familiar faces, I rarely give myself opportunity to put in practice the means of outgrowing my shy and unspoken nature. This characteristic lingers while I remain primarily secluded except for generally unmotivated friends who – apart from their intentions – pull me towards enticing online games and conversations of irrelevant mediocrity. As for the “initial step to success” quoted above, I have spent – in part – my whole life, but more specifically the last four years, on eliminating any mindset of my captive environment. Something which is primarily the culture of my suburban surroundings (living in Michigan).
I’d better get to the inquiry. To meet anyone in particular, at least upon request, isn’t necessary, but my preference would be, at minimum, the qualities of self-motivation, high-energy and the drive to help others. Had this article been proposed by around mid-2011 (and had I even discovered him by that point) I would hands-down have to meet with Christopher Hitchens. Even among those with a strong opposition to his views there was an unavoidable respect for the man – if not that their respect was initially birthed through listening to him speak! For this particular event that I am responding to I have to list Mr. Dinsmore himself. Of whom I am indebted to for great inspiration which I used as fuel for life-changing research. In the case this goes nowhere, I would like to make apparent that I do have overwhelming gratitude for Scott Dinsmore as being a solid piece in the puzzle which structures my life.
Coming next to my mind are the names Tony Robbins and John Taylor Gatto whose reasons are self-explanatory. For anyone unfamiliar with John, it may verge on insulting if I were to try putting into words his dedicated work, but I will say he wrote a book which took 10 years of research to complete; sun up to sun down. Now that is passion if I had to tell it in summary. There is also the less prominent name of Adam Baker who made a TED talk which officially organized my entire life.
I have taken in hand Richard Bandler and worked to eliminate that pip-squeak voice in my head that squeals negativity between heartbeats. I may be surrounded by people who let that voice get to them (in combination with “inevitable failure” and “lucky people” gossip) but I avoid those thoughts not only for being a poison chalice, but also because I engrained the realization that my own potential is limitless. I aspire to liberate and help others; to speak for truth (of worth, reality, reason and the like) in any format possible and I do not fear taking on the challenges which confront these tender topics. My goal is the bottom line of inspiration and a life worth living for every moment that one partakes in it. Even in volatile situations I do not set out to insult or ridicule; my intentions are primed for progress and I am alert to people’s tendencies of self-deprecating behavior.
“Seek out argument and disputation for their own sake; the grave will supply plenty of time for silence.”
– Christopher Hitchens
This quote is beautiful to me; it encompasses my pursuits in life. As for delving into my own passion, I present to you: writing, reading, singing, poetry, (aspiring for) speaking, creativity, engaging with others, and I am sure to imagine more awaits my discovery. Through these mediums I will not hesitate to disperse my thought, inquiry, camaraderie and compassion for everything I discuss. What I do with my time is important to me; I will not waste it on banality, half-truths, or aimless objectives. I do not allow myself to think in terms of hope or faith; I leave that to those (I would help) who are unsure enough of themselves as to let others weigh in on their future; for me that is not only something I do not want, but it is frankly not an option.
I thank you very much for your time,
Gratefully,
Chad Kayser.

Posted at 21:04h, 29 AugustI hope you don’t mind if I read your story Chad. I think it is admirable.

Posted at 17:52h, 29 AugustIf I had the help to help animals and children I would transform the world. I would have environmental education, animal advocacy, mindfulness, kindness, and compassion as part of all elementary schools’s curriculum. I have been working on this with my non-profit organization since my daughter was born she is now a senior in high school. I have implemented many of my environmental board games and organized local Earth Day and Animal Awareness events for many years. I donate proceeds from the books I write, the games I design, and programs I teach to animal rescue organizations and children’s programs. I have accomplished many things on behalf of the animals and children but I KNOW we could accomplish twice as much if we could work together. I choose to bring a mindful approach to future generations and truly believe it is the missing link. We NEED to cultivate kindness and compassion into young children and teach cooperation NOT competition. Please consider helping me help the animals and children and Bless you for all that you are doing to help make the world better.

I was put here on the planet to both teach and perform music, and to do so on a world-class level. My ‘anyone’ would be Zoro–a professional musician, teacher, author, and motivational speaker–best known as Lenny Kravitz’ drummer.
Zoro is an inspiration for me, mainly for the reason that he is a successful musician, author, motivational speaker, etc. who’s ‘clean’–meaning no drinking or drugging. One of the main reasons I did not pursue a career as a musician when I was just out of school was that all of the folks I saw around me who were on this career path were almost all drinking and drugging–fine for them, but it’s not for me. You have no idea how much his example means to me.
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
Regarding my teaching practice, I don’t think of myself as a music teacher–I think of myself as a coach who uses music to develop virtuoso humans. Not virtuoso musicians; virtuoso humans. Pursuing music completely changed my life, and it can do the same for others.
My goal as a coach is to remove everything that gets in the way of my students success. I do this through showing great enthusiasm, simplifying techniques, and encouraging students to ‘make big mistakes’ to speed the learning process.
My teaching practice (private lessons, clinics, after-school programs, community programs, etc.) reaches not only mainstream students, but also those with developmental disabilities and those from low income households.

I’ve been living in China for 10 years; I came here from Italy when I was 23 and, although I’m just one of the many many people who are definitely not living their legend (I’m working on that!!!), I’ve been living a pretty good life and full of amazing people.
I’d love to bring to them and to millions and millions of awesome Chinese your message. If you are thinking: “Why not doing that through our incredible website..??”, stop thinking! Yeah, nowadays more and more people can speak English but not everybody can master it to the point that they can really get access to your incredible work and it saddens me knowing that so many people are cut off just because their language is totally different from yours and, from where they stand, incredibly difficult to learn.
Besides that, right now, I’d die to have the chance to make someone I knew to get in touch with you because I think that he really really really needs to turn his crappy life upside down…
Sorry for my English…not as good as my Chinese…

I would quit the time and soul sucking 9-5, pray, meditate and do yoga (getting my spiritual and physcal health in order), spend quality time with my only daughter (traveling and showing her God’s great creations), and most importantly, I’d have much more time and opportunities to lead people to CHRIST. I’d pay for crusades, and accommodations for busloads of people to hear great messages from great pastors, ministors, etc. We would have a revival all of the time. People are hurting and need GOD!

Posted at 10:22h, 30 AugustThe first thing I would do is to get where the action is. For me, this would mean to move to a bigger city and get in contact with the creative minds of the music business. When younger, I was caught in doubt about wich college course to attend: music or electrical engineering? I have strong logic thinking but also unmearusable love for music. I ended taking the “safe road” and got my bachelor’s and master’s degree in electrical engineering only to have the clarity to really understand that music is what drives me. My current plan is to get a job in professional audio systems, working as an engineer serving music. But that’s just to get me started. Then I plan to learn and network as much as I can so I can get to the creative side of things. My dream is to be a full-time musician, artist, producer and to make great music that inspires people. I want to inspire people to pick up an instrument, to further their music studies, to listen to quality music and to value and seek artforms in general. Art is so much more than paint on a canvas or sound through an amplifier. It has the power to transform lives in many ways for seconds or decades. So, if I could have the help of anyone, I would definitely speed up this process and would absorb their teachings and advices like a sponge! Music is the one thing I cannot live without in my life and my dream is to work with music and for music.

Help each other develop better strategies. All the while encouraging each other to continue the pursuit. Understanding that not being alone is a success in itself. Enjoying the journey together. Posted at 10:55h, 30 AugustLife is, unquestionably, random–to highlight this magical quality of randomness, I developed a program called The Random States of America.
Simply, it is a process of choosing a random state (territories and minor outlying islands included), then choosing a random town in that state (zip code approved), and then choosing a random person in that town (a selection process consisting of a few things but most importantly observing random acts kindness).
Once we choose our person, we would use this incredible LYL resource to connect our “random citizen” to the people who will help them accomplish their dreams–with explicit instructions that he or she must do the same for another fellow random in the future.

It would be different in that way that I could actually create the projects I want to build, and that it would be easier to let these ideas become reality in the near future instead of ten years or more. With the help of anyone I wanted I could find more people who share my beliefs, to share the workload, financial burden and to throw ideas, inspiration and energy together to create something bigger than any of us alone. We could combine the specific knowledge and talents of each of us to complement for personal weaknesses and thereby being able to focus on the kind of work we love to do most and to connect with others who think the same.
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
Building an LGBT friendly, intercultural retreat/trauma/teaching/conference center with special focus on secondary trauma and post traumatic growth. In other words, I want to create a safe place for people working in an (international) environment focusing on conflicts and severe human rights violations. I want to give the helpers in this world a protected space where they can relax, recover, heal, learn, teach, and connect to and inspire others who fight for similar goals. Offering a home for a while and a place to feel welcome and safe for the soldier coming back from a peace-keeping mission, for the woman who fights genital mutilation in her community, or for the lawyer who works with asylum seekers.

Posted at 14:57h, 30 AugustThe ability to connect with anyone would allow me to create a movement of men who consciously work towards increasing their OWN wellbeing, in addition to the wellbeing of OTHERS. In our era, this movement would be crucially important because of men’s aversion to seeking help, in spite of astonishing increases in mental illness in the past 50 years (mental illness disability rates have doubled since 1987 and increased six-fold since 1955). I would create a mobile phone application which allows men to 1) help THEMSELVES through psychological resources and wellbeing courses, and 2) help OTHERS through an instant chat mechanism that allows men to anonymously share their worries and get (real-time) feedback and advice from others in the community. Just today I decided on the name of the startup (Headstronger), a domain was purchased, and I will be applying to Start Up Chile with the idea – but the ability to connect with anyone would truly move this dream towards becoming a reality.

Posted at 19:29h, 30 AugustHow would my life be different if I had the help of anyone I wanted?
I was laid off in March of this year, it was at that time that I said I did not want to spend another day doing work that did not interest me. Since then I have taken steps to define who I am, what I have to offer and what excites me. Now that I have clarity on what that is, I want to connect with others whose pieces fit the puzzle that I have been assigned to. When that happens there will be more of an impact in the part of the world that has been allocated to me and us.
What would I do, what would I create, what would I pursue?
I would help others change their mindset, by relating to them in a way that makes them feel like, I am their other half. It is one of my gifts. I would create opportunities by first getting them to see differently, then directing them to those who can build on the foundation that I have set. No one person has the whole answer, we all need each other to make this thing work. Being part of a team of people who are innovative, compassionate, giving, and who recognize that there is enough for everyone to live the life of their dreams, makes me overflow with joy. It’s all relational.

Posted at 20:18h, 30 AugustIf I had the help of anyone I wanted, and you did not limit that to one person, I would be able to change the world faster, as the labor would be at least halved and the success at least doubled. As someone who is both detail and goal-oriented, I have the ability to see the big picture and am very able to oversee projects and delegate responsibility; however, I am also very easily distracted and sucked into time-consuming details if I try to physically do the task myself. With the help of the appropriate workforce, I could easily oversee capable worker-bees who prefer to labor than supervise.

Posted at 20:28h, 30 AugustAs hard as it is for me to ask for help; if I had the help of anyone, I would take advantage of it as much as I could. It is so easy to dismiss good advice, to listen and not take action. Usually the advice is words in passing and typically you are not truly ready for it. I am so ready to truly make changes, to do what I love to do, and to pass it on to others so if I had the help; I believe I would be more content, which would spill over to everyone in my life.
What would I create…. I am a passionate person and have always had ideas about what I would do if I could “do anything”. Creating something that can help people; advice, answers, support in all areas of life. Writing children’s books about difficult topics in a simple, inspirational way. Athletic wear that is protective and therapeutic. I have thought so much about these ideas and know I could make one of them successful, changing my life and others!

Man alive this would be life changing for me and many 1000s of others!
If I could get help for some of the greatest motivators and mentors of our time – I would turn this into an “Academy of Success”
1 – go viral with this and
2 – teach it to as many people and groups of people as possible –
3 – make it life changing for as many adults and Youth as possible –
4 – school as you know it would never be the same again! Kids in middle school and high school would not only – get this information – but
5 – there would be corporate sponsors so some of the biggest names in the corporate world would be involved in this world wide –
6 – this would start in America and go world wide!
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do? –
This would include – more inexpensive – more assess to this information
And apply this in their lives and others successful people around them!
This would change 1000s of peoples lives – they would influence 10s of 1000s of others – it would be a funnel of young people and adults!
This would make them more money, more contacts, more influence and more powerful life for all of those people that get involved in this Academy!
This would change all of their lives and all of those they get involved with!
This would offer Access to 1000s to 10s of 1000s of people – who had never had access before! This would take education and application to a new a higher level!

I am desparate to serve as a postive role model for my 5 and 3 year old daughters, and hope that they can someday be proud of the life I’ve led. Finding the conviction to depart the corporate grind and pursue a path filled with passion and fulfillment would assure that.
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
Although I am short on details right now, I would start a business that would allow me to identify and regularly use my unique talents in a manner that greatly benefits my community and the world. Posted at 08:31h, 31 August1) How would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
If I had the help of anyone I wanted I would feel truly alive, like anything were possible. I’d continue doing what I do at the moment: learn about myself, learn from others, travel the world, and build up a whole toolkit of amazing wisdom, knowledge, connections, inspirations and then pass these on to other people in the world. I would help others in believing in their dreams, their potential and in pursuing (unconventional) ways of living their lives.
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I would pursue being 100% authentically me and help others do the same. I would continue to challenge the status-quo and act as a “pioneer” of trying out new things and help promote new ways of thinking, behaving and ultimately, living. I’d connect with many like-minded people around the world and build an empire that connects, supports and encourages people around the world to being more true to themselves, their real passions and ready to live life to the fulllest!
I could go on and on but I think I’ve already broken the “4 sentences” rule 😉

Posted at 00:53h, 04 SeptemberAs a child, a lot of times i came across this question that how do i want to lead my life and the answer was really clear to me. All i wanted to do is lead a happy life. My answer was very innocent yet very pure and true. All of my dreams were me sitting at the beach sipping on chilled lime soda.
Later on people started asking me questions like what do i want to become when I grow up so that i can be a happy person. I wish they would have asked me “how i would like to contribute to the society when i grow up”.
For the past few years, i’ve been searching for my passion which can make money for me. Recently I found out that all i want to do is help out others to bring happiness in their lives. I believe i can be the wealthiest person if i can help at least one person everyday.
If i had the help of anyone i wanted, i would like to become a social activists and work towards causes like animal abuse, female oppression, child abuse and old age issues. I would like to open up old age homes and educational institutions which teaches young minds to make there world a better place to live in. I also dream of building up a small locality where i can build small homes for under privileged people and providing them resources (food and education) to make them independent. I would also love to manage a animal hospital which specializes in dogs and cows.

-My life would be different if I had the help of Albert Einstein, Franklin Convey, Sherlock Holmes and Tony Buzan. First of all, I’m a very curious person and asked a lot of question, Albert Einstein and Sherlock Holmes would help me to get the answer, not by answering it, but by teaching me how to think of it critical, analysis and finding the answer. Albert Einstein and Sherlock Holmes would help me how to think logically and they would be the one who I would look up to and being inspired to work harder everyday. I’m sorry if it’s an fiction person, but you said anyone. Second is Franklin Convey would help me finding myself, clarify my value, roles, help me come up with yearly, monthly, weekly, daily planned. So he is the guide,so I can achieve goals with specific step. He is the author of the book “7 highly effective habits”. I’ll learn more if he personally teach me. Finally, Tony Buzan would help me increase ways to memorize information, ways of study, speed reading, and mind map. Therefore, I got the mind from Albert Einstein and Sherlock Holmes, the planner and tools to work more effectively. These way, I could learn the information, language faster and be able to graduate university at 18 years old.
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
After gaining the basic knowledge, I will pursue all of my passion: too explore knowledge, places, answering to my own curious, answering the mysteries of the “Seven wonder” in the world, invented the machine or ways to solved the global warming, come up resolution for animal danger, famine, poverty in countries, built school, and help the world become a better place. After that, I would going around the world be a special teacher that would guide children, kids, teenager, young adult, adults, parents to live what are they passion for. Next, I would writing books, and share my knowledge to the people, and the more people know it, the better the world is going to become.

Posted at 17:23h, 27 August1. If I had the help of anyone I wanted, I’d choose Guy Kawasaki. This would change my life by giving me the confidence to do what I want because I know I’d have a very knowledgeable connection advising me.
2. I would pursue a lot more writing, but also projects that include reaching out to huge influencers, such as Tim Ferriss and Seth Godin. Without a doubt, Guy would be able to help me open a lot of doors.

My life would be have an impact on a much bigger audience! My aim is to support my readers to live their best lives and to live them with an awareness of their foot print on this planet. With the help of anyone I wanted I could refine my offering, my key messages, connect with my readers and encourage them to also share their messages and their passions with the world. I would know that what I had to say mattered and reached the people who can also support it to make the biggest impact on the world through lasting change.
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I would pursue greenapplemagazine.com, my site, to the max! I would push the brand front and centre to the world and say “HELLO! I can help you and this is how!” I would inspire those around me in my workplace and personal life to aim high and to stare fear down. I would be the mentor I longed for.
Exciting!

The person I would choose is Chris Zydel, Expressive Art Therapy Teacher/Trainer because I would like to expose people to the Arts & show them how it would empower them.
I already have set up a non-profit to explore this more – Open Sky Art Centre Inc.

Posted at 23:34h, 27 AugustI would start a business as a personal trainer and help many people get in the best shape of their live and to become really happy. In order to be able to work with (and help) as many people as possible I would do this via an online course and personal face to face training at the same time.

Life would be different in the freedom of not being a slave to anyone. I would choose you Scott, because you have fresh experience at living your life away from an employer and doing it now, not in the past like famous guru’s. You have lots of advice about the downfalls and things people need to know.
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
As a creative artist I know I have the talent to design items so I would hone in on my art. I would pursue ways in which my art could be sold, hired out or printed on gift cards.

Posted at 03:32h, 28 August1. Having the help of anyone I wanted would mean two major results: breath of experience (having access to people in a variety of areas and interests would provide many opportunities) and magnitude of impact (their experience guiding my success).
2. My coaching business would become what I dream (individual, group, events, retreats, adventures, etc.) with a huge reach, helping clients around the globe. I’d become a speaker and author (non-fiction and fiction). I would also have amazing experiences with amazing people doing amazing things.
Thanks for asking and inspiring dreams.

Posted at 07:56h, 28 AugustIt’s funny this has come up, even meant to be in some ways because I’m on a mission of just that; finding people who do exactly what I’d love to do, which is…
Food styling and writing… I love food and since having the worst job in my life and then leaving it, I’m trying to pursue my love of cooking by running a small food blog and Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Arushiwabisabi
Meeting a food stylist and writer (there are many more than I thought!) would allow me to see the ins and outs of this career and how I could do this myself – having a mentor has helped my partner within a year much more than if he didn’t have his mentor – because they give the realities and ways around actually doing what you love!
LYL has really helped me to tear down some boundaries, seeking a mentor has been down to your advice on surrounding those around you that you’d want to become… Thank you!

Posted at 07:57h, 28 AugustI don’t think I have any one particular person in mind. But I would love to have the support of someone who really believes in me, especially on the days where it all seems too hard, too much, out of reach, etc. I need a cheerleader, but also someone who won’t let me get away with less than best, every time. No procrastinating, no excuse.
I would feel at ease. I would work in my business everyday with the confidence that I am not alone.

Posted at 07:57h, 28 AugustI would build a team of inspired people dedicated to balance in business. We would launch a research project on work motivation that builds on goal setting and includes the conscious use of both sides of the brain. I would write about it in an easy, fun psyc language that people actually understand and turn this into actionable, game-changing content. WHOOP WHOOP!

Posted at 07:58h, 28 AugustMy life would be very different. Having the help of anyone I want opens up a world of possibilities. I want to create a legacy, share my spirit with the world and be out there. I have a lot to give, a lot to learn, a lot to live.

Posted at 08:01h, 28 AugustI would encourage all the people (first in my city, then country, then all over the world) to bring the ideas to life they have deep down in their minds or maybe already written down in their iPhone notebook.
I would show them that what democracy was to all the other political systems – entrepreneurship is to the corporate world (we wanted to have our vote in the political world, we don’t we demand the same in the economical world?)
And that like we evolved into a (mostly) democratic world, we have to evolve into a world where people bring their ideas to life. A world where it is possible to succeed for everyone with an idea and the right mindset.
Thats all.

Posted at 08:04h, 28 August1.How would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
I am so inspired by all the talented, creative amazing people I meet. My Facebook friends list is full of some of the most inspiring men and women on this planet. Although, I am very supportive of their careers, I find that I am unable to pay for many of the materials they sell. I would take every class, read every book, and attend every workshop and retreat that Kimberly Wilson offers. Her beautiful outlook on life is contagious!
2.What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
It is my dream to live and work full-time from the road. I am a freelance writer and marketer who dabbles in photography and art. I’d love for part of my camper to be a studio/boutique where I could sell my art and crafts from. I would travel from place to place, volunteering and fostering rescued animals along the way. Wow. I’m smiling as I write this. MAGIC!

Posted at 08:04h, 28 AugustThis is easy. My dad left me too soon in my life. I was just beginning to figure who I was and his guidance, support, and love during this time would have given me the only fuel I needed to believe I could accomplish and be anything I desired. He always told me to make sure I found something I loved to do each day. I think I would have pursued my dream as an actor or broadcaster knowing that he had my back and would have been my biggest supporter and advocate. His death stunted my personal growth.

I would use my time more efficiently, and focus on giving back as much as possible. Share the insights, if allowed to, of the people I connect with, and focus on repackaging it to best benefit my audience. And I would write, not necessarily a bestseller, but the damn good novel I’ve always had in me.

If I could get the support from Warren Buffett, I would have not only a no-nonsense, down-to-earth counselor at my virtual side, but would also have a person experienced in strategizing and taking risks that move you to the next level. I would have help in positioning my vision so that it builds on my strengths.
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
At age 60, I’ve been feeling the numbers crunch — monetarily and life time. I would use these fears to help propel me to do what my heart and gut both say to do no matter how illogical: get trained and certified as a counselor/coach to help others use the tenets of positive psychology to help them realize their goals, be they related to work, health, relationships, … I have started on this voyage with the Course in Positive Psychology at Kripalu and want to pursue Alternative Health Coaching and Organizational Development certifications.

I would give group coaching workshops, give lectures, write an ebook, connect with many more people and laugh much more often.
Thank you for this opportunity Scott!

Posted at 08:15h, 28 AugustHello Scott and thanks for the contest.
I would like to connect with Pat Flynn.
I have followed his blog and purchased his products for several years and I believe that he is honest, real, and genuinely wants to help people like me succeed. I want to write books and blog about succeeding in marriage because I believe that families of all races and cultures are failing today due to a lack of having both parents in the home. I do not struggle with motivation, but with self-confidence (thinking that no one would want to hear what I have to say); and I believe that Pat has the patience and persistence to walk me through the initial steps of launching – and push/pull/cheer me until I get ‘off the ground’.
Blessings!

Posted at 08:18h, 28 AugustI have just embarked on a journey with a new opportunity to work for myself Empowering People to Grow. The help of Individuals for me is paramount so that this can be weaved into the workshops I want to deliver.
My passion is to use this and work with students to help them connect their values and skills with a learning environment.
This would help create Entrepreneurs of the future that have good sound knowledge and also the passion and belief to follow their dream.
I would have immense satisfaction in watching these young people grow into passionate individuals, knowing I was a part of their journey.

First of all, I wouldn’t have waited until now to do what I’ve always wanted to do, Coach. I feel that I have wasted so much time and energy working for someone else. Moving forward, my life would be different because I wouldn’t waste even more time with programs that cost so much money but give so little value. I would be so grateful for the opportunity to work with a trusted adviser!
2.What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
My dream is to lead large groups of young people. I want to create an at-home program that REACHES these kids as well as programs for the parents. I’d also love to write a book along with a workbook. At this point, I’d just love advice on how to market to one group (parents) when I’m targeting another (teenagers).

Posted at 08:22h, 28 AugustIf I had the help if anyone I wanted (and I know *exactly* who I’d want to coach me), I would have more certainty and the necessary courage to pursue my dreams without hesitation or apology.
The sheer volume of available wisdom and weight of my mentor’s expectation would push me to a degree that nothing ever has. Having the right, experienced coach is like having a living, interactive, personalized roadmap to your dreams!
The realization of my dream would not only positively impact my family and I, but the lives of countless others — if only I had the right mentor 😉

Posted at 08:22h, 28 AugustI have so many (too many?) ideas, but I’m struggling to sort through them, pick one, and act on them. I would look for a mentor to help me look at what the best ideas are in terms of my skills and what will be most helpful to others, and then give a little guidance on getting started. I know I CAN do it, and I know WHAT I can do, but I need help with the HOW.
Cheers,

Posted at 08:24h, 28 AugustI’ve been thinking a lot the last 2 days about what you mentioned on the Ted talk, that you are the average of the 5 people you are around most. This was sort of disheartening because I can only think of 4 and half of them are under age 10. I recently was a part of an advanced permaculture design course. I was astounded by the huge impact that group of 30 people made on the surrounding area. They literally fed off each others inspiration and ideas to heal, grow, and nurture the earth and community. It was such a beautiful experience. Back at home now, I’m struggling to keep this motivation going on my on, but I realize what I really need is a community with similar goals and values to really bring about a change. I am working on supporting a Colorado permaculture guild, and start a regional seed library. I really want to reach out into my local community for more people who love to work with others to live holistically, be creative, and make big things happen. I feel a deep need to build meaningful relationships. I am lonely in that. I know I have so much to offer in this life, combining love of learning, my design and art. I also want to learn from others and be a teacher to my two sons. My teacher, Peter Bane passionately showed me what humans can really do with combined intelligence, inspiration and caring. It grows exponentially! I would love to continue to learn from his teachings and example. Scholarship or not, thank you for asking the question. It gave me the opportunity to have a solid answer to what I may not have asked myself, and now some direction!

Posted at 08:31h, 28 AugustHello! I am a newcomer to this site, as of yesterday; which ironically is the day I left my unfulfilling career.
1. If I had the help of anyone I wanted, my life would cease being a continuous string of disappointment and wrong choices. You see, I would choose a committee of experts, people who have walked in my shoes before: going to college for NOT their passion, sticking out a career that is NOT their passion, living their life WITHOUT passion. This committee of mentors would help guide me away from my current situation, and into the life I dream to live, by showing me how they did it themselves.
2. If I could pursue, create or do anything, it would be simple: something that brings me true happiness and sparks my soul. I haven’t gotten to the place where I feel comfortable dreaming big about the what ifs (currently I’m just trying to grasp the fact that I left my career 4 months pregnant) but I’m hoping to be there soon. I do know that my desires lie in achieving deep, fulfilling happiness.
Thank you for the contest, and I am looking forward to checking out LYL.net more,
Lori

Posted at 08:35h, 28 August1. If I had the support of anyone in the world, I’ld first quit my job and spend more time writing my second novel and starting my own business while travelling the world and meeting awesomepeople.
2. I’ld immediately start with my t shirt business which is selling online quoted tee. One which has only inspiring quotes written on them. Quotes which will inspire the person before you when he see your tee and make them think to do something courageous which they always wanted to do. In short, help them in any area of their life.

Posted at 08:42h, 28 AugustIf I had the help of anyone I wanted, I would be able to remain a free-spirit and to spend time on projects that would help encourage others to slow down and enjoy each and every moment in life. I would be able to travel extensively to learn more about different cultures and different ways of life, and to share it with the people around me.
Life is beautiful and we have to remember to take time to appreciate the great moments from time to time. I would be able to touch the lives of others and to help create a sense of fulfilment in their lives!

Posted at 08:47h, 28 August1. By having access to a group to bounce ideas off of that is specifically created to help each other get our businesses where we want them to be, I would no longer have the fear of making isolated, costly decisions.
2. I would create an online community to help moms create a lifestyle business. It would provide the tools, resources, experts and community needed for moms to live their lives by design. An overarching goal would be to adopt an organization that assists mom entrepreneurs in developing countries.
Thanks for this opportunity.

Posted at 08:54h, 28 AugustI like this competition as it has become a bit of a check in for me. This is the third time I have entered and each time I am clearer about what I am doing. The first time I really had no idea! The second time I had my blog up and running. This time I have just finished my first little product and am selling it under the pay what you can model with a % going to a charity that is in alignment with the work I am doing. It feels good to be moving forward and this competition always helps me to see where I am at!
How would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
I am painfully shy so do struggle to make connections with people. I I think having people in my corner would bring me confidence and clarity. I would love to have a mentor who could challenge and encourage me. I want to use the things I am good at to do something that brings value to others and would love support on that journey.
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I have a blog about storytelling (www.storybramble.com). Through it I want to encourage families to make stories a central part of their home, I have audio stories for children to listen to and post story activities and tutorials on storytelling. I believe storytelling is for everyone and is hugely beneficial. It is also becoming a bit of a lost art in this digital age. I would continue to learn about storytelling myself and find ways to contribute in my local community as well as to the on line community.
So there you go. Third time lucky, otherwise see you next time!

Posted at 08:57h, 28 AugustHow would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
4 years ago I read the 4HWW and it changed my life. I began to dream bigger than ever before and pursued my online dream (With minimal success). 2 years ago I discovered this online community of bloggers that were kicking ass doing what they love (Leo Babauta, Chris Guillebeau, Corbett Barr, Scott Dinsmore, and many others), and decided if they can do it, so can I. What I’ve realized in the past 4 years is that you need a seriously dedicated team of like minded folks to engage and initiate instead of merely responding.
Although it would be fantastic to have these folks in my corner, or to meet each top notch individual; what I want, what I know I need, is a dedicated team of like minded folks who refuse to let me settle.
This would be the rocket fuel needed to contribute and engage with the music community and turn my idea for a modern music teaching/learning community into the real thing.
In short, I would appreciate my life more and wake up each morning full of life and energy.
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I would create a community of practice around the teaching and learning of music. It would be online, pairing up individuals (around the globe) of similar levels who can teach each other. Turning it into the go to repository for learning music, the history and etymology of a song, and to build a lasting community people can return to for continual learning and connection.
I have the instructional Design, I have the Mockup, I have the desire, but I need help!

Posted at 09:02h, 28 AugustSo I’ve been walking for some time now, on this path of my life but recently I found a map (i.e. I had one of those ‘Ah ha’ moments, which came post a TED talk of which the ‘author’ I attempted to contact).
And this map so far is taking me to the cliff edge and I’m just about ready to jump off but I need to check that all those big stones are out of my pocket that will weigh me down too much for the journey (the main stone is my thesis, nearly there).
I know I have the passion and the rough outline for this journey but I need someone to teach me good technique (the industry set up) and show me where to find the resources I’ll need (finance, programmers, legal team etc.); how can I swim an ocean without first learning to swim, I might also need a good wetsuit me thinks and some safety boats would help, just enough support.
Now I need help in meeting the people that will guide me in my preparation for this journey, I need some lighthouses, swim coaches, physios (can the physios be an analogy for financial advisers? I don’t know why!) cheerleaders, safety boat drivers and perhaps a sports psychologist; see I know with the right knowledge, help, advice and support I’m on the edge of living my lifelong dream of helping people, because when I finally stopped and asked myself honestly what I wanted to do with my life it was to help people (there is a solid business idea behind this, I hope you understand if I don’t share it here!); funny how my overall dream boiled down to something so beautifully simple.
journey.
Posted at 09:02h, 28 AugustThanks for asking!
1. I would exhale with joy, cry and roll my sleeves up in preparation of the work to come. Life would be different in that I’d have the support I don’t have presently.
2. I would do two things: a.) Develop an org that would expose more children to international travel in an effort to expand their horizons through art, travel and philanthropy. b.) Develop, show and sell a new body of fine art.

Posted at 09:05h, 28 AugustI would go to a sub saharan African country and start up a not for profit tourism business center with the local women to empower, encourage, show, lead, guide and motivate them on how to use he resources available to generate income for their families and friends while building a stronger community and a bigger and better Africa. The reason for this is to erase years of a mentality whereby poverty and the education system promote laziness and self pity. Although there has been significant progress in promoting the African woman, there is still a lot of needs for skills training, education, self-sufficiency needed for the continent and it cannot be done only by the Bigger Organizations. Africa is on the Rise and it has got to benefit the inhabitants of the continent.

If I could connect with anyone, I would fulfill my passion of working in the entertainment industry and creating leading roles for women in movies and TV shows. I would connect with the people who are already working so hard to make this happen: Amy Poehler, Kate Dippold, Kristen Wiig, Judd Apatow, Lena Dunham – this list goes on and on. I would quit my 9-5 (and yes, it’s a soul sucker :), and use my creativity to make a difference and to make a living.
Thanks so much for running this awesome contest!

Posted at 09:12h, 28 AugustHow would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I would create a meditation series for mothers and father’s who recently experienced perinatal loss. My husband and I delivered our twin boys at five months pregnant and lost them due to prematurity. I immediately struggled with finding a sense of purpose to my new (empty) life. We lost our future, our hopes and our dreams. I was not living the life as a mother of two living babies. I found meditation in our nursery to be calming and purposeful. It was a way to connect with meaning. I imagined reaching out to Deepak Choprah and Oprah to see if they would work with me to help me create a meditation series specifically for parents like me.
Starting each day with a meditation, helping ground my soul, and connecting with my baby boys, was extremely powerful and helpful to me. I became very inspired to help other parents who have experienced this type of paralyzing loss. I want to share the love and light through a supportive community. My purpose in life is to help others and this would be a unique gift to share.

How would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
I have the pleasure of still being a young student, if I had the help of anyone I wanted I feel that my could access the best teachers / best people in their fields, I would be able to find direction, to have a greater understanding of the pieces of the puzzle I am missing to get to where I want to be.
I hope that would make my life happier and less troublesome in terms of how much I worry.
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
Until about 6 months ago my life goal was always to vanish of to a mountain, and try to find some semblance of peace, then I met a inspirational teacher, whose guidance has led me motivated to one end alone, to leave a legacy.
To have somehow, made the world a better place, for my children, for their children, for everybody.

I would pursue my dream of creating a community center in the low income parts of the Philippines in which locals of all ages can learn how to cook nutritious foods, how to stay physically fit, how to navigate their way through technology and the internet and how to express themselves through creative outlets. It would be offered at little to no cost and it would emphasize academics, athletics and the arts. I love the idea of helping others in any way that I could and always paying it forward.

Posted at 09:25h, 28 AugustFirst, I would connect with a genetic testing company to see if I carry the drd4-7r gene associated with ADHD and/or “restless genes”. This would change my life by explaining the history (and family history) of restlessness and struggles/successes with needing constant change and movement. Secondly, with the help of a fabulous successful TBD business entrepreneur, I would create a guided hiking tour business (possibly along the Colorado Trail) combined with the ideals of my blog called Restless Genes. Since I already have some experience in outdoor guiding and business, a person who could mentor me in creating a long term business and marketing plan would be most helpful.

Posted at 09:28h, 28 AugustHow would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
As a young introverted woman who struggles with shyness and insecurity, having the help of anyone I wanted, learning how to connect with anyone and finding or creating a supportive group of like-minded people would bring a sense of connection and belonging that I rarely get to experience. This sense not only would enable me to benefit from and engage more easily in social interactions, but also would let me feel comfortable and confident in voicing my own ideas and sharing my skills to help others.
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I would expand my current blog to share with artists, scientists, teachers, students and parents the importance, the benefits and the sheer wonder of seeing science and art in an integrated way! I would also launch another project I’ve been working on, a blog and online community to inspire and help people to embrace their creativity and lead more fulfilling lives!

Posted at 09:30h, 28 August2. What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I would devote more time to the international nonprofits I volunteer with, and help them grow to have greater resources and impact. I would quit my job to make my passion for public service my career (and paycheck!), and run for public office in my home area. I would stop waiting for the “right moment”, and work smarter to pursue my dreams of finally getting married, having children AND a successful international career in public service.

Posted at 09:35h, 28 AugustWhat a wonderful gift you are offering, Scott. Shifting from a “me do it” attitude to “we do it” is HUGE and I thank you for being the change and supporting those who are ready to live their dreams…simply by living YOUR passion. I love how that works. To answer your questions:
Q: How would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
A: My life would be different because I would have the support of a team I personally work with to meet my vision and fulfill my soul purpose. My life would EXPAND exponentially. This is SO important. And I love to share with others and support them, too. I have BIG ideas. I LOVE the idea of meeting new people and to simply, be me.
Q: What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
A: I am in the process of creating the Soul Collaborative in Portland, OR. The SoCo is based on community, collaboration and creative soul expression. It supports those who are in alignment with their soul purpose by connecting face to face in community and helping each other THRIVE. I am gathering my peeps, setting up the business, etc. yet feel the value of having my personal team with me who hold me accountable & share their ideas, while inspiring each other, to be an over the top opportunity for me/us to stay on course. I believe my vision is powerful and I’m ready to roll…
Thank You, again. Let the fun begin : )

Posted at 09:38h, 28 August1. My life would be different if I had the help of an established, out-of-the-box architect because then I could leverage the big dream idea that’s stuck in my heart–and stop wasting time slugging out making a living as a copywriter and part-time artist.
2. I would work with the architect to build an Abstract Chapel from repurposed materials and create a space for contemplation, connection and community where people could come to sit, enjoy large scale art, and share ideas. It would essentially be a hub for people to gather with no religious agenda, but to experience the force of architecture, the possibilities of existing materials, and the unlimited potential of the Self. And as the space evolves, so will the ability to serve and uplift others.

I would be free of my self-imposed limitations.
I would create, share, help, design, inspire, craft, teach, dream, and motivate others in ways I never knew possible.
I would dwell in a place of limitless possibility. I would change the world.
Thank you, Scott, for the opportunity to win lifetime access to your amazing course — it sounds like complete and total awesomeness.
All good things,

Posted at 09:46h, 28 AugustIt takes the vision of other people–seeing yourself reflected in their eyes–to cut through self-deception and self-doubt.
WIth the help of others, I would be able to live in a *true* relationship with myself and the world.
That would allow me to create the best, ethical way to touch people’s lives by unfolding the wondrous depths within themselves and the starry world outside: a well-written novel/movie, and a teaching course.

One of the biggest problems in the world today is its conflicts. Only by understanding and respecting those who are different from us can we hope to start solving conflicts. Travel writing tickles the reader’s curiosity for greater understanding.

Posted at 09:52h, 28 AugustMy goal is to change the world, to explore, to learn, to help and to teach people who I come in contact with. Since I’m working on becoming a motivational speaker, travel blogger while going to university studying international development I would pursue a life of speaking, blogging and traveling, by doing this I’ll be changing the world in my own way. After becoming highly respected speaker, I would then start creating different programs to help fuel my speaking, for example, one on one coaching, day seminars, and some type of role modeling program for high school students, these are a few of many ideas I have planned for the future. More importantly I want to make my mom and dad proud and when I become successful I want to buy them a nice house to help pay them back for all the work and support they did to care for me.

Posted at 09:52h, 28 AugustHi Scott, thanks for asking about what I would do.
I am getting ready to launch something so big… so awesome, and so scary that I’m totally excited.
Here is the deal, you know the Staph infection you get from the gym or hospital that can kill you. (called MRSA)
I can stop that or at least get people their lives back after years of suffering.
This is what i have done, I have started a non profit called MRSA HERO.
Here is the vision, people will come to the site and learn how and why this bacteria works and what they can do about it. One thing that drives me is the information online today is shameful! It’s full of fear and stupidity and I plan on bringing people that are in a really bad place real and useful information they can use as soon s they hear it. I’m also going to train the people that have learned my message to take care of the new people that are recovering. They will be the heroes making more heroes.
I’m spending all day today in front of the camera and as soon as I get my videos done the first version of the site will be up.
My YouTube channel is just “themrsahero”
Anyway, you are speaking my language brother because i as building a system to have the public help me help others and save needless pain and suffering. If you have any advice I’m all ears.
Thanks, Shannon Brown

As a graduate student who will be turning 25 in a matter of weeks, I would be thrilled to receive personalized advice on how to use the advantage of youth, higher education, and local resources to maximize my impact on the world today. I want to get started on doing good (well!) in the world & feel restricted in scope by limited access to great mentors and financial concerns.
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I would pursue everything I’m passionate about! Using my graduate training in cancer biology to impact patient care and current treatments, promoting disease prevention through a deeper awareness of nutrition and a healthy lifestyle in underserved communities, creating avenues for other minorities to receive a high-quality education as I have been fortunate enough to do, promoting authenticity in science and medicine, helping America truly understand and embrace diversity, revolutionizing the pipeline to higher education….the list gets longer as I learn and live every day!
YOU ROCK!!

Posted at 09:57h, 28 AugustHow would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
You know what? My life would be exactly the same. Let me explain. I truly believe that I could, at this very moment, have the help of anyone I wanted. I just haven’t stepped out to grasp it yet. This is something that has struck me in a huge way in the last year. I am very independent and sometimes I think it impedes me from having the help from anyone I wanted. This is something I want to learn. How do I learn to obtain (ask for?), accept and harness the help of anyone I want? So, let me rephrase the question, how would life be different if I actually engaging in asking for and using the help of anyone I wanted?
I believe my life would have a lot more action. There is so much power for me when I actually tell someone or ask for help. I then see so much more action than if I just did it alone or didn’t “connect with anyone”. The first action step would be asking for the help. However, a huge thing I also learned at Scott’s WDS talk in 2012, is that it would also be about offering my help and value to those I want in my life. Then, in my life, I would see tranformative actions as I take steps boldly and with the support and accountability of others.
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I would pursue, create and do what I am trying to form right now but I imagine I would do it with a lot more action and support. There is power that comes from being connected with people. I would continue to work on creating my goal of helping people pursue their passions and try things that they have never done before. Essentially, I would “pay-it-forward” with the courage and support that I’ve been given. I am currently working on birthing a big idea and dream around this project but I would love the course to be able to support me to really make those action steps but connecting with others.
Well, one great thing is…. This post has already done two things:
Made me comment for the first time ever (action!)
and
Provided me with a little public proclamation (accountability!)
I love it. What power.

I guess I’d accelerate the process of what I’m actually doing. Creating and offering new tools, videos, audios and ebooks for my blog. And creating new connections to expand the messages. I started the blog in January and it’s doing great little by little.
And this actually what I think the planet needs, to speed up the processes of change into a new era of human achievement, understanding, health and responsability.
2-What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
My purpose is to help the Spanish community to change perspectives, think big and introduce new strategies of behaviour and health. I believe a lot in the power of new IDEAS and implement new strategies in order to grow in all areas of life.
Thanks for your inspiration, Scott.

Posted at 10:13h, 28 AugustPut simply, I would give others a safe space to tell their story, because I truly believe this world and the people living here carry around so much untold pain. Maybe they’re too ashamed or embarrassed or angry or hurt (you name it) to open up, but it ends up surfacing in so many unhealthy ways. I truly believe my gift is helping others open up, and so not only could I live my legend in this way, but through my helping others, they would be better able to live their own legend.

I would love help putting my lucid dreaming technique through a strict test in order to make it much easier for people to wake up inside their dreams and change their life.
People are loving the technique at the moment, but obviously being scientifically recognized would make it much more powerful and being someone who hasn’t attended university it would be tricky to do it myself.

Posted at 10:20h, 28 AugustHow would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
I still remember that day when I made up my mind to quit my well-paying job in the IT Industry to pursue my passion for writing. It wasn’t an easy step to take. I didn’t have a degree in writing after all, and the people around me said that it was a relentless and stupid move, something that I was going to regret. Deep down in my heart I knew that I was doing the right thing, but the voices around me were screaming out loud that I shouldn’t be doing it. In short, I was in a vulnerable state. Had I not listened to that still small voice within and stayed inspired on my path by reading stories of others( in books and blogs) who had walked down the road less traveled by, I would now be leading a miserable life, stuck in the rut, and doing a job I hate. Thinking back, I feel the shift would have been easier and less painful, had I been surrounded by an encouraging crowd of like-minded individuals. I was lucky that I managed to wade through the violent seas. But, what about those who have failed to swim away from the safe harbor, giving in to the pressure of their environment, and headed backwards, half way across the sea. That’s where environment and connections come into picture. They can either make or break a person’s life. Everyone would be fearlessly chasing their dreams if they could connect with anyone they wanted to. This world would be a happier, positive and inspiring place with each person helping the others in fulfilling their dreams.
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
Being a creative professional a full-time writer, an aspiring fiction writer and a hobby artist I often turn to books and blogs to stay motivated, to deal with the challenges I face walking on this precarious path, and to learn from the lives of other creative people who have successfully managed to build a life around their creative interests. Apart from writing inspiring fiction novels, I would launch a website about ‘Creativity’ and ‘Creative Living’( an idea that I have had in my mind for the last few years). It would be a platform where creative people, experts and amateurs can come together to share/ find ideas and tips that would help them lead a creative and meaningful life. A community that one can turn to for guidance on making one of life’s major decisions – that of following one’s heart and chasing one’s seemingly impossible dreams.

Posted at 10:26h, 28 AugustMy answer was supposed to be completely different. Then I paused and reflected on these two questions deeply. The answers seem so different in only 15 minute time span.
What I came to realize from my own experience is that there is no mentor in the whole wide world who can help you if you are not ready to be helped in the first place. I had many personal and professional experiences that underline my conclusion.
You know how “obvious” other people’s problems seem to us, right? But we cannot recognize our own until we hit rock bottom. I don’t know why it is so, but no mentor can prevent it.
Until something happens to us and makes us dig deep inside to find the real obstacle, we can’t see the right people in our life, personally or professionally. It’s like being color-blind. Right people were in technicolor the whole time, but we couldn’t see them.
Another thing I noticed is, when answering your question, majority of people didn’t name a person/mentor. Majority also didn’t articulate their goal clearly. Somehow it comes to “if I had x, I would do y”. Maybe x wouldn’t help you to achieve y because you weren’t ready for it. You couldn’t grasp it at that point in your life. It leads me to conclusion that it’s all up to us.
Environment is extremely important, but only on advanced level, where you are aware of certain things and you have come clean with yourself.
I was reading the best books on management, entrepreneurship and business out there and still, I couldn’t apply a single thing in my own life. As if I didn’t read anything. Those books were my mentors but I couldn’t receive their message.
I think we can achieve everything when we find two things in ourselves: knowing what we want and realizing we can do it no matter what. I think the process with the environment goes somewhat backwards.
As I read a lot of blogs, I noticed how the most successful people are happily married. I don’t think that happened by an accident. But I also don’t think they met their partners along the journey but in the stage where they were completely clear and certain of what they are, what they want and how to get there. Then, seemingly out of nowhere, a love of their life showed up and they started building their lives together.
To conclude, I believe our biggest cheerleader, teacher and mentor is hiding in our mirror.

Posted at 10:26h, 28 AugustIf I had the help of anyone I wanted…
I would start by relocating, possibly into a new city entirely, but definitely into a house with 3-4 other massive-action-taking, entrepreneur roommates, to be immersed in an environment of CREATION 24/7/365. I would go full steam into the world of sales and marketing, and become a Jedi, constantly honing and refining my skills, and baking them in the ovens of direct experience so that when I launch my own game, I do it with surgical precision. I would join elite masterminds (at least 2 per week) full of epic creators doing exactly what I aim to do, and I wouldn’t just listen, I would go all in–120%–on building the revolution that I know I have been called to lead, one step at a time, with no delusions of grandeur about perfection or having to be there TOMORROW. Just a steady, confident, patient, calculated and curious immersion into following my own knowing and leaning just beyond my edge each and every day.

I would pursue my interest in indigenous symbols that are common worldwide, sacred geometry as it intersects with many disciplines, and the visual language of nature, form and color.
I would create personal/universal works of art, music, media and a non-profit school to provide a place for dedication to traditional and digital creative arts.
I would foster the arts as everyday experience and expression, practiced through a multitude of media (many unplugged), shared through studios, salons, shows, gardens, web portals, publications and media yet to be invented.

My current endeavor would have the well-rounded approach of qualified people that it needs. I would add to my newly-forming team to include an accountant, someone familiar with patents, and someone with experience growing food in a similar way that I am developing. With my team ready to handle the ups and downs of a new business idea, I would be off to a running start, instead of my current crawl. And I would no longer have to be a bartender to pay the bills.
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I would put my business at the forefront, and pursue it with no hold restraint. Within three months I would have my first and second prototype ready, and be automating the process of one. I would have my first harvest, and be on track to buy/negotiate the land I need for expansion. I would have my blog not only started, but updated regularly and be gaining support to reach out to the community and have a side business of helping people grow their own food in whatever space they have available, through my team’s (hopefully patent pending) system. I would be shaping the world’s food consumption directly, allowing people to make their own healthy choices. I would be the big-picture thinker developing the business with my trusted team, and also doing community outreach and education seminars. Thus, I would start to see my healthy, eco-friendly world-bubble start growing, and seeing others make the same choices for their well being and vitality. This I believe is the biggest impact I can make in terms of world sustainability and getting away from the dependence on a corporate owned food system, and chronic disease created by the consumption of all those ‘food-like substances’ out there.

Posted at 11:12h, 28 AugustFulfillment, self-actualization, and making a difference are ways my life would be different if I had the support of anyone in the world.
I’d like to work with someone 1) more technologically savvy than I so that I can my 24 books noticed and utilized in the world, 2) someone who has connections to teaching universities so new teachers can understand and implement procedures that would enable each child they teach to maximize their potential, and 3) someone in government who has the power to make these procedures basic standards for children in pre-school to graduation. With these three types of support, I would be better able to promote not only the importance of, but also, the actual concepts of civility which ultimately could positively affect the world.

I would create and promote organizations to help young people without resources to have an opportunity to succeed in life. There are communities that do not provide youngsters the proper environment and opportunities to develop their full potential. This is a clear waste of resources in the Nation.
Creating specific support organizations and affordable programs for those kids is my dream.

Posted at 11:19h, 28 AugustIf I had the help of anyone I wanted, I could do more than I have ever imaged possible. I have an idea to provide informal learning curriculums and support to young adults seeking an alternative education. If was able to gain help and support from anyone I wanted, I would be able to impact many of my peers live greatly.
As our education system here in the US continues to fall apart and rise in cost, many young adults will be seeking different ways to learn. I would like to be able to provide these young adults a specialized learning plan that incorporates online learning (moocs), internships, personal projects, and real world experience to grow their personal brand. I just need the support and backing to connect with businesses and mentors for these young adults. Learning how to connect with anyone and help spreading my idea are the first steps in making this thing happen.

I ended up going back to a regular job (that I do enjoy), and have no regrets at all doing…and I love interviewing…asking questions…sharing what I learn in the process. I love connecting…people to people…people to information…people to themselves. I can connect to people pretty good, and I know there is so much more to learn to be an effective connector. Random connecting is fun. Effective connecting is productive.

Posted at 11:23h, 28 AugustHere are the questions:
How would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
Having the help of people such as Neil Gaiman, Amanda Palmer or Warren Buffet would give me access to advice on the only thing that truly stops me from doing the work I want to, fear. Their stories of how they worked through their fear would mean more to me than how to start a buisness or how write a novel. That kind of knowledge is powerful, but being able to have heart to heart conversations openly and honestly about fear would be even greater. It would give me the power to change my life, and the lives of others.
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I would research creativity and share that knowledge back with the world through stories, since stories are how we connect. I would turn my blog into a platform to reach people all over the world. I would create a place where people can find mentors to help them with their creativity. I would take all of that and use it towards providing classes, seminars and scholarhsips on creativity.

Well to start, I’ve just taken the leap (last week)! I left my unfulfilling and meaningless day job to pursue my dream, thanks to you and Chris Guillebeau! Simply Paleo is thriving with 10k followers thanks to help from incredible people along the way. Blogging is all about partnerships and my life would be different if I had the help of anyone I wanted because I could more effectively turn my dream into sustainable income and a thriving mecca of information. I am also on a perpetual path of learning and personal development and believe that with the help of more like minded people, I could change the world!
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I would pursue attacking the corporate food structure. Healing people from the inside out through consultations, cookbooks, informational ebooks and more. My dream is to travel the globe to help people “wake up” to understand why our health is ever declining. With this I will “Live My Legend.”

Posted at 11:36h, 28 AugustAs I prepare to watch President Obama discuss the challenges that persist in our country 50 years after Martin Luther King Jr. spoke to our nation on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, the answer becomes clear. There was a time when I would have answered this question by identifying a popular entrepreneur who could help me promote my own self-interests. Someone who could help me develop a business or expand my outreach through blogging. Someone who could help me understand how to garner more followers or build a bigger email list. But in truth, I was acting through fear – seeking to build a reputation that would validate my worth, not something that would attack the issues that still plague our nation.
But I think this website at its core is about service – giving back and changing communities.
So instead, I hope to connect with a person that will help me learn how to become a true public servant and work for justice. My initial answer was our President – someone who has dedicated his career to addressing the most pressing social challenges of our time. But how much more powerful would it be to meet MLK himself, a man that gave his life because he believed in something that meant so much more.
My goal – learn what it truly means to identify a mission so fundamentally tied to your purpose that you are willing to die for it.

I will also have 100,000 people populating my state and district teams creating bold new futures for life in America in support of my bid to be President of the United State in 2016.
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I’ll create a support structure (starting with my teams from above) that has people getting out of their own way, believing they can change their worlds, and taking action to do so. By providing the space in which people can pursue what is important to them, I’ll bring happiness, love, and a profound new commitment to advancing the conditions of life for everyone on this planet.

Posted at 12:10h, 28 AugustI want to answer the questions in the reverse order.
2. What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I have this dream of creating an interdisciplinary academic research + activism + social entrepreneurship institution, with a single vision: to help create a better world. It will bring together socially-minded and ambitious researchers, educators, activists, entrepreneurs and changemakers in economics, climate change and health, to tackle pressing issues: global and local poverty, youth unemployment, climate change, political repression and wars.
I have co-founded a mini-version of this in graduate school, called the Earth Team (www.earth-team.org). By talking, we create interdisciplinary innovations to tackle poverty. We educate the community by holding open-to-public scientific talks. We create a competition for change-making ideas.
Now that I have graduated and become an assistant professor in economics, I want to have a bigger Earth Team. An Earth Team on steroids. I want to build it with my Earth Team cofounder Chris Wilmer (soon an assistant professor in Chemical Engineering at Pittsburg University, ChrisWilmer.com). We want to initiate, to be involved, to facilitate, to inspire more innovative projects and people to change the world.
1. How would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
I would ask Richard Branson to be our partner. As an entrepreneur, he wants to “screw business as usual”, by inspiring businesses to do good and have fun (and the money will come). As a professor, I want to “screw academics” as usual, by using academic research to change the world. He co-founded the Elders, bringing elder leaders together to tackle the world’s challenges. I want to bring young people together to innovate for the planet.
How would my life change? I would go crazy if that dream actually comes true: to work side-by-side with Richard on building a Virgin-Earth-Team global institution. I would wake up everyday and say to myself in the daily morning meditation: “I am living the dream!”
Thank you for these questions Scott! They have surely set me on fire. 🙂

What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
Thank you for this opportunity not only to enter but to express this – first time I have done this in black and white from head to …. er ummm… screen (as opposed to paper!).

I would stretch higher, reach further, go for a bigger impact, and risk more. My life would undoubtedly be more adventurous, purposeful and impactful if I had the help of anyone I wanted.
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I would set the goal to impact the lives of one million people within the next year (Stage 1). I would create and launch the product I’ve been slowly developing for the last two years; It is probably the most powerful process I know for us finding our authentic self and our place in the world, where we create the greatest value through service and contribution. I would focus completely on creating this, and making the biggest positive impact I could, by fully showing up myself!.

Posted at 12:30h, 28 Augustif I could have the help of anyone I wanted, I’d go for 2 persons… one who helps me believe that I can be financially independent and who also helps me to somehow find a way to fund my training as an osteopath (I finally found that one thing that combines my talents, my values and my qualities with a way to help people heal on a physical and as well as on an emotional level, but in Germany you can only train for this kind of job at reeeeally expensive private institutions). and one who cheers me on and kicks my a** when I need it.

Posted at 12:59h, 28 AugustThis is a dream I’ve had forever, and have gone many sleepless nights obsessing about how I can make the greatest impact. Please help!!
My one and only goal in life is to empower and motivate as many people as I can to enable them to better their own quality of life. I want to build an empire (via a TV, magazine and web presence) so I can reach the most people and address topics most pertinent to this endeavor within the constructs of modern society. A name that comes to mind that has done an amazing job of this is Oprah and I really believe given the resources, I can make just as big or even greater impact (with my strong background & charisma!). Through my own research, I know the most effective route to really reach people is by starting with a brand specialist who can get me connected, and help me map a strategy starting from building a brand on TV then moving to print and online mediums.

If I had the help of anyone I wanted, I could change the world!
2. What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I’d create a scalable business which would enable millions of others to do the same and so make the biggest impact in billions of lives. The result would be that, at 53, I’d free myself from the chains of my stifling job and finally achieve my purpose on this planet: I’d fulfill my potential…and smile.

Posted at 13:09h, 28 August1 – If I had the help of anyone I wanted by life would become much worse. Probably I would isolate myself and end up doing some crazy Thoreau “adventure”, instead of following my current dreams.
2 – As I said, I probably would isolate myself because there would be no challenge. Life would be much easier and fascinating for a awhile, but in the mid/long run things would change. I would get tired of running around finding answers, creating projects, knowing about life. In the end I would live my life as nature has taught us human beings. Unfortunately, that has been forgotten by us. Conclusion: I would stop being an ant, in life’s auto pilot.

Posted at 13:14h, 28 AugustJust the process of thinking about these questions is very revealing and inspiring.
I would create an educational platform that contributes to people loving themselves and freeing them from judgment. Part of this means incorporating holistic elements of self-care, (including nutrition, exercise, and other healing rituals), and very deep wisdom about the miraculous nature of reality. It would appeal to those ready to live fearlessly and promote unity consciousness where love, peace, joy, and freedom rule. I intend to live in a world where everyone is so happy to be alive, (even amidst challenge), and to be themselves authentically.
Thanks for asking!

Posted at 14:17h, 28 AugustI am the one reading this blog/site, dreaming of new projects and filing ideas in a drawing pad. My spouse, who is a great support in everyday life, was pushing me to do it even when she is the one concerned about financial security.
Ironically, she took the leap before me. She quit her job to pursue her life-long aspiration: helping people in need.
I’m still stuck.
If I could have the support of anyone, I would probably go for what I dream of with less fear of failure knowing I would have access to the experience and advice of someone who had been there before, not that it would remove all risks, but I would be more confident.
I’d go out there and put my hands and brains to imagine and build things. Ever heard of a freelance designer without diploma? That would be me…

Posted at 14:44h, 28 AugustI would quit my current job and work in the film industry. As I learned “on the job”, I would also take courses to support it (Film, Television, and Digital Arts) … at UCLA! I would travel all over the world with film crews, thus expanding my views, getting experience and exposure, and inspiring me to create my own projects (screenplays, speaking engagements, books, etc.). And I would live close to the beach so I could surf more and finally get on a short board!
I think that answers both questions!

Posted at 15:18h, 28 August1. I would dare greatly to live any dream I have.
2. I would change the school system to a place that inspires possibility and teaches people fundamentals of life we know from Napoleon Hill, Jim Rohn, Eckhart Tolle and many other leaders of our time. If we could give our children early on knowledge at schools we adults are happy to have learnt in our lifes through mentors, imagine how far the world would be. What would innovation look like and how would we treat ourselves, if we learnt from young age how to live a good life with ourselves and those around us. I want to create a school Einstein, Edison and Franklin would have loved to have.

Posted at 15:39h, 28 AugustIf I had the support of anyone I wanted I would organize a HUGE event, I mean the BEST PARTY EVER. Not the “wild, uncontrolled teenagers” kind of party, actually it would be a party for the people, in some open air green place where admission is free, and there would be delicious food, and stages with live performances of musicians, dancers, actors; anyone who wants to set free its inner self through art could do it. It would last 9 days, just to have a break from every day life, and have fun

First Item – build the 2nd Virgin Galactic Spaceport here!

Posted at 16:04h, 28 AugustIf I had the support of anyone, I would finish my book/project on using theatre games and creative play for community development. There are a lot of great theatre books out there, and books on community development too, but none that make the process playful or creative. As a teaching artist, I see my work as not just about teaching people about theatre and storytelling, but showing them how the performing arts — and more specifically, the true stories they tell about themselves — can impact their lives. With the right support, I could spread that work beyond my neck of the woods with my students, through the book, through presenting at workshops, and who knows what else. Connecting with the right people could turn my work into something exponentially more high-impact, and expand the role of a teaching artist in the cultural / political landscape.

My life would change enterly and completley. I am from Uruguay, and all the people here says and believes that everything is impossible. That making your dreams come true is impossible here, and the only chance you have is going away.
If I had the help of anyone I want, I will prove that we can make our dreams come true.
I have 17 years old, my dream is to make movies and to compose their soundtrack. My dream is playing the piano in front of million people. My dream is to turn a well-known Uruguayan musician.
My dream is possible, despite everything.
My life would change because I will give hope to people like me, like us.
I know that things in Uruguay can get better.

Posted at 17:12h, 28 AugustI’ve been thinking a lot about what I want to pursue, create and do, lately. I would continue to learn about sustainable agriculture, how it works, how to actually do it. I’ve never been in the field or in the garden and so I would love to get my hands dirty. I would love to help others bring good and wholesome food to their tables, to their families, and feel good about the exchange between them and the producers. I want to see a return to a community that is self supporting and food is one way that can start the change.

Posted at 17:40h, 28 AugustIf I had help from anyone I wanted, I would be more bold, a little less anxious and more adventurous then I could ever be alone. I would pursue photography, writing and photojournalism part-time and also mesh these hobbies into my projects (my lifetime careers). I would create Therapeutic Recreation programs for children and youth who are chronically ill or suffering from mental illness and from that start personal business while creating and developing Rec. Therapy programs for children and youth on a global scale. Then, using photojournalism I would write articles about the programs, the events, the children and have a blog which would highlight my guest author and spokes ‘person’ as the title figure; a Boston Terrier in costume.

What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
My wife asked me two questions one day……1- What would you do if you knew you could not fail?” To which I gave her, after some thought, a standard issue list of events, experiences and material possessions. Then she asked, “What would you do if fear was not an issue and was taken off the table. You did not know what fear was, and it had no influence?”, and in my mind was the equivalent of a cinematic explosion in space, pure silence, followed by a brilliant blast of light that expanded out in the shape of a ring of white light…. And my list forever changed……
As for your four line requirement…. Please feel free to pick the four lines in this response that put me in the winners circle. I will let you pick the four you like.
My new list ( it’s a work in progress….. Little rough…. And missing a few things…… )
My clear and compelling future
These are lifetime goals, these are the goals I want that when I know I could not fail, AND fear was removed from the equation, I think of, dream of and aspire to. I need to know that I lived to the fullest. I lived, I loved, I mattered, I made a difference. The world is a much better place because of what I have set in motion while here on earth. I dented the universe.
Global goals
The US has a positive cash balance and a positive cash flow
Education up through college is free in the US
The world has found an effective alternative to war, and there has not been a war related death for several years
All remaining landmines have been located and safely removed nobody else is hurt by landmines

Cancer has been cured
Ok all major illnesses and even those that are the 1 in a billion type…..have cures….. The way I see it…..if my baby was that 1 in a billion struck….it would sure means lot me that someone wants to help me….and for dam sure I would be glad if it was his dream that came true and it healed us…. If nobody dreams….. It will never happen
Prisons around the world are obsolete because we have implemented effective ways to build communities integrate our citizens and there is a space to include everyone. We live in a world that is fair for everyone and nobody is excluded. If there is a crime committed we have effective systems and transition from detention to true and earnest education and re-integration systems and there are no repeat offenders. ( when I first read the list to my wife I had a recidivism rate of less than 20%….. She said, you cured…cancer and aids…..why stop at 20%……I stopped and thought for a minute…….”because I want to be reasonable?” Was the only thing I could think of…….and then I saw the beauty and value of being unreasonable. I realized at some point in human existence, EVERYTHING…..we now experience and know of was unreasonable…… The 4 min mile was unreasonable until it wasn’t….now it’s required……free slaves….woman voting….. Radios, phones, curing polio…..walking on the moon….all of it unreasonable…… So I decided to blow the doors off the list and just get after it….. 🙂 this does not mean i have to do all of it……but someone on my team has the answer….(by the way….my team… Is anyone that has ever, does now, or will ever live….. As sure as we walked on the moon…..we can do everything on this list)

The average American is happy, healthy, has pride in their county, has faith in the government
100% of voting eligible Americans vote
Our voting system is effective, accurate, safe, fair, equitable and accessible to everyone of voting age and privileges
Every nuclear weapon on earth is disarmed and dismantled
The UN is dis-banned and all nations get along because they choose to

Posted at 18:32h, 28 August1. I would have the tools and support to create and build a business that supports my family. It would give me the opportunity to improve myself through learning and guidance and thus help me show others how to create their own change.
2. I would create a ‘place’ where people could overcome their challenges and insecurities to live the life they deserve and create personal success, whatever that means for them – and helping them find what that is.
Thanks for providing a great resource.

Posted at 19:19h, 28 August1. How would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
I would be one of your stories in Live Your Legend. I really want to be in field of training and coaching but it’s not easy as I do not have relevant education background. I just need a chance that someone can refer me to work in a training institute and immerse myself in that environment, a place that I can truly feel the passion and connection among people.
2. What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
The posutive energy I create will spread and influence the people around me to pursue their passions.

Posted at 19:19h, 28 AugustIf I had the help of anyone I wanted I would first build a world class farming/cruising sailboat. It would be as self supporting as possible and engine less. It would be an ideal example of living as healthy, green and responsible as possible. I would pursue educating people that the status quo is responsible for the current environmental challenge and that status quo education is questionable at best. There are better ways to spend our time and energy on this planet and exploring the far corners of the world from the comfort of your own home and learning how other cultures go about the business of living is quite possibly one of them.

Posted at 19:37h, 28 AugustIf I have all the help that I wanted, I want to help my external family and other families to build stronger bonds with their children. OR be a part of an organization that gives a helping hand to children who are less fortunate in third world countries. OR find my true passion and meaning of my life. Something to serve greater than myself. And all this is only possible if I have the proper skills to connect with friends and build solid relationships with people.
For now, I’m still in High School and one of my goals is to develop my social skills to a point where I can finally be socially comfortable again. From young, I’ve never taught how to make friends or win with people. I want hang out and learn from successful people. I’ve learned to be “Proactive and not reactive” and that is the reason why I’m writing this post. I’ve never won anything like this before and I understand that there are far more people who needs this more than me. But I hope you will give me a chance.

Posted at 20:12h, 28 AugustIf I had the help of anyone I wanted it would be much better. I can help people much more than I am currently helping and would be willing to help more. Because the happiness brought by helping others are beyond compared. To pay forward to people who have flaming desires to help themselves to alleviate their living or just to make them see it could be possible just by looking at how I have been going through.
By constantly focusing on what I wanted to become, financial freedom in order to help more. Big or small income it does not make any difference as long as you have the heart the longs to give. It would only matter on the range of help you can give. As to how I would have all of those above put to action, I would be willing to help vendors, individual, who have capacity but doesn’t have capital and a strong hold of believing that everything is achievable if you have the right mind set and people that would be willing to help.

This will benefit the planet (polyculture farming), the client (those with abusive pasts and addiction have a lessened myopia when presented with tangible hobbies outside of their immediate casework), and our wallets (taxpayers pay for grants subsidizing charities, those grants could be lessened if the charity could meet some of it’s own needs.

Posted at 02:36h, 29 AugustHow would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
if my parents were supportive for my decision to be an artist, I would probably be having much more fun than my current major in Computer Science, since I’m more of a literate person than a Science person. My parents told me that people who graduate as artists can lose their jobs easily, if they find one that is! and always make fun of my hobby telling me to ‘grow up’. If they were supportive instead of making me ashamed of what I like, I would probably be much happier waking up in the morning to go to university rather than now. Even though I’m a Computer science major student, I still like to draw and most things related to art, and I still have many ideas of projects related to that and business ideas too! If my family was supportive, I would probably have made half of these projects to reality by now rather than keeping them to myself.
I also had another dream related to studying animals in the Safari and islands, it was really interesting, yet, my family made fun of that idea telling me it’s impossible. I have no idea what’s wrong with such a dream, since I always long for adventure. Basically, and unfortunately, I give up my dreams easily when people bring out the negative sides of it however, I’m working on getting rid of this habit, to make myself stronger with passionate decisions to bring my dreams to life. I’m still intending to bring my dreams to reality when I can and I always record them in notebooks to not forget what I like! I already know it! I know that even if you fail at something you like, you will never regret that you did it! because that’s how dreams are precious.
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I would write comic books, make animations series/s, write novels, draw and design for video games makers, sell posters, travel and learn about other cultures and their arts, learn other languages, create my own organization that supports anyone’s ideas and dream projects to be brought to reality in the shortest amount of time, study different interesting things along with art and writing like blogging and making ebooks, take online courses and webinars, and more 🙂

With the help of anyone I would be able to make the most of every and any opportunity before me, both in business running Xenium.co and also in my personal life.
“You are the sum of the 5 people you spend most time with”
In short having the help of anyone I wanted ,would make the sum of me greater.

Posted at 04:08h, 29 AugustI would devote myself to a future of lifelong learning about Forest Gardening. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forest_gardening
I want to learn with all the experts in the field and related fields. I want to be connected and synergised with people who have visions of sustainable, local food sources in the surburban landscape.
I want to create a platform that enables open-source research of how trees, shrubs, flowers, insects, fungi all work together. The multiple variations in micro-climates and eco-systems would make traditional scientific research methods impossible to complete this task. Crowd sourcing will be the most effective means to get this information together in one lifetime, rather than several generations if we used traditional methods of data capture.
I dream that this information could then be used by landscape designers and agriculturalist to design suburban food gardens. I dream of a world where landscape design extends beyond the aesthetic into forest ecosystem mimicry. Where nature provides maximum productive output for minimum human intervention. I dream of a world where this information can then help others create a job/income from the same vision.
I dream of this world of possibility which is getting clearer each day. I have decided I will make a leap of faith this year so access to this program will be timely for me. Other than my personal education, my immediate circle of friends, acquaintances and mentors may not be the best people to help me in pursuing this dream.

Posted at 05:07h, 29 AugustIf I had the help of anyone I wanted I would automatically lift my game to dream and play big. Stretching my horizons as to what is possible would make me see the opportunities from a whole different perspective.
I would pursue being a coach, speaker, author, entrepreneur to help people live a life that aligns with who they truly are and plays to their unique strengths and gifts, not what they think they “should” do by playing safe.

Posted at 06:13h, 29 AugustWith the right mentor and connections I could take a message of genuine health to the world and lift the lid on the disease industry. People could learn how they can live truly healthy lives and how simple and inexpensive it is to do so.
My life would be different as I could pursue my passion of helping others be well. In doing so I could also be pursuing my passions for travel wine food and meeting people.

Posted at 06:46h, 29 AugustThis week, I have finally discovered what I really want to do in my life! After watching dozens of TED talks, I now have a firm belief in the unlimited potential of pursuing the things that you love and that you are truly passionate about. I’ve discovered that I love film making, and that I really want to find ways to tackle big global issues facing humanity (such as climate change, poverty, overpopulation and many others).
With the help of some of the world’s best film makers and producers, and experts on international issues from the UN and around the world, my dream is to become a filmmaker and create films that tackle global problems, and to inspire people and create a movement for humanity to solve them. We need comprehensive and immediate action on these issues globally, and I know that films are truly one of the best ways to inspire others to take action!

Posted at 06:48h, 29 AugustWhat would you do if you had the support of anyone in the world?
1. Go beyond my mental barriers and block, be free of the concepts that make me feverish and hinders my progress. Be a true success: an undying smile and a confidence that never shakes.
2. Create a cross-border business that brings out the best in each country/ culture and connect it with the rest of the world. I want to realize the ancient Sanskrit saying: Vasudeva katumbakam (we are but a One World Family) in the work I do. I want to project a spiritual outlook in all the products/services my business will produce. Something that will produce a smile, satisfaction and celebration. THAT’S IT: CREATE CELEBRATION!!

Posted at 06:53h, 29 AugustQuestion: What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
Answer in 4 sentences: I love my current life and passion for living but I often feel I want to impact more people in a positive way. I’m pursuing my dreams to become a male midwife so that’s checked off. I’m not creative so I I find it hard to answer this question. But the last part … I’d really just like to make more people smile … nothing fancy … nothing hard … just a good ol’ fashion smile.
Hope someone is reading this and smirking!

If I had the help of anyone I wanted, I would want my life to be a living, breathing example that shatters society’s expectations of how life should be lived and how it should unfold. I would use their help to prove that the exhausting job application process with referrals and testimonials, the typical 9-5 corporate job, the never-ending chase for promotions and raises, doesn’t need to be destiny for each and every one of us; that we are in fact capable of doing the things we love, serving the world in some way and creating and executing amazing ideas that brings us satisfaction, fulfillment and also financial rewards.
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I would spend my time living in other countries and learning their languages in order to be able to truly understand their cultures, customs and way of life. Having spent a year studying Arabic in Jordan, I have experienced first-hand how communication barriers were shattered as a result of knowing the language. I’ve also seen in Jordan how wars and crises have made people from Syria, Palestine and Iraq refugees, and I’d like to spend my time helping them in any way possible. I hope to be a living example and inspiration to those around me that it is in fact possible to live off your passion and that a corporate 9-5 job from hell is not a necessary evil for everyone.

Posted at 08:38h, 29 AugustI love this first question because being older and having a family with young kids all I want is to be the rock star in their eyes. If I could go back in time and had watched your TEM talk I am sure my life would be different. With all the books and advice about finding the work you love is the first step I would take to change my life. I am still trying to find my passion.
I have a 20 year old step son and I think I failed him because I never showed him how he needs to help out or volunteer he has the mindset that everything is owed to him. Since I have two young ones with food allergies (eggs and peanuts) I would love to show them that you don’t have it as bad as they think by volunteering. Everyone needs help sometime. I need to lead by example.

Posted at 09:16h, 29 AugustHow would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
I would love to have a mentor to help me through the process of starting my new business while looking after my 4 year old and trying for a 2nd baby! My dad guided me until I was 26, taking me into the family business and teaching me everything he knew, he passed away and left it to me so I’ve been working hard since to develop it further.
I think that actually I already have the help of everyone I need, my friends and family are incredibly supportive of all of my wild ideas, my husband has the patience of a saint to put up with my constant need to be doing something new and innovative, he accepts and encourages me to push the boundaries of my business, a mentor would just be the icing on the cake!
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
SOOOOO much! I am starting a new business right now where I will be selling energy and water saving products which I am passionate about, so I would carry on with that and would hope to eventually turn it into an international business. If the business is successful the set up will allow me to have more children, and finally get the chance to be a more hands on mum (my husband has been a stay at home dad to our daughter, I went back to work when she was 2 weeks old). I would finish writing my half written book about being a working family and managing the balance, I would put more time into my sewing which is my way of relaxing. I don’t dream of being a millionaire, if I had that much money I’d probably give most of it away, all I really want is for my business to be a success and to be able to buy my own home, where my daughter can have whatever colour walls she wants in her bedroom, and I can have a vegetable patch to grow all our own organic produce, oh and a house full of children! I kinda just want a simple life while doing my bit to safe guard the planet for our children, thus the energy and water saving products!

I have learned that the fastest way to master something is through mirroring successful people. I would be able to short-cut the learning process and spend more time executing and teaching the strategies I have learned to others. Achieving positive results and impacting the lives of others would provide me with feelings of fulfillment and contribution to the world around me.
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I would pursue and create a financial services company that teaches and instructs individuals on saving and investing their money wisely. If done correctly we can provide for our retirement and at the same time provide cash flows for companies to grow and prosper. Most of the negativity in the world today begins with the stress associated with money. I would work with individuals early in their life such that this kind of stress does not exist in their life.

I would have the advice and experience of homesteaders and small scale farmers who have gone before me to lean on, teaching me the tricks of holistic and humane animal husbandry that is hard to find in books or online, since so many farmers are profit driven and have abandoned anything that doesn’t serve that goal.
2.) I could be more self sufficient in a society that is so dependent, and use the practices that I learned to teach and nourish people, heal our bodies and our food system, in addition to giving animals the dignity and respect that they so truly deserve.

Posted at 11:31h, 29 AugustThank you for posing these questions, Scott. It’s been very revealing for me to think about my life and work in terms of, “no limits.” And it is incredibly inspiring to hear all these dreams written out in the comments!
If I had the help of anyone in the world, I think I would not feel as alone or unsure about how to make things happen. Like some of the other commenters, I lost a parent when I was a young teen, and it has greatly affected the way I have approached life. I would feel so confident, connected, and fulfilled if I had all the encouragement and help I needed.
I want to find a way to move my little family to a beautiful place we could call home for an extended period of time. I want us to find grounding and stability together.
I want to help my friends find awesome, fulfilling jobs!
I want to start a community of faith-based artists that would offer mutual support and inspiration.
I want to pour myself into continuing to create art from the deep places of my heart and see it grow and expand in ways I haven’t even dreamed of yet.
I want to create funding and awareness for local and worldwide social justice support systems. I would work to empower women & families (especially in Rwanda, where I have invested in relationships) and in freeing women and children from sex-trafficking.

Posted at 12:10h, 29 AugustWe all want to change the world but the first step is to change ourselves. It is time to step up and for me that would be going global.
I’ve been a healer for over 23 years, working mostly one on one. But the world is ready now to experience massive change. People are ready to learn about and implement the unlimited power that resides in each one of us.
To have the support of the most influential people would mean that millions, even billions of people could access themselves on a level that is unprecedented. I am unknown but with the backing and promotion of famous and respected people would catapult personal realization and empowerment on to a platform never before seen.
Everyone deserves clean water, healthy food, a lovely place to live, education for their children, safety and security. the time is NOW to change the world. I envision myself and others aware of the Love, Peace and Power that is available, speaking to huge audiences, inspiring and giving tools to help people feel strong and empowered to change their realities.
I have seen so much and have so much to offer, this is a great opportunity to begin to take flight.

I need help with my singing too, if I could have that, I would create music and share it with the world. As hard as I try things keep coming in my way and I just cant seem to get any training nor do I have the resources for it, and I have a dream to go to a music school but schools want to have the best students, and I haven’t even started.

Posted at 17:19h, 29 AugustThe biggest difference for me would come from the relationships I would be able to build and not the help I could get. Of course the help would be priceless but having meaningful relationships with people who also dare to dream big would give me much more on a daily basis and the energy to keep going (because no matter how much help I would get no one is going to do all the hard work for me).
Never in school are you asked what you are interested in learning more about, so no wonder most young people feel lost and don’t know what they want to do in life. I am in the starting phase of creating an educational project where students will live together (like a normal college campus) but create their own curriculum and only learn about the things that really interests and fascinates them, becoming clearer about what they want to do in life.

Posted at 19:09h, 29 August1) How would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
With the help of anyone I wanted, a greater sense of wisdom would be in place, thus I believe the process of coming up with an idea to execution would be tremendously more fluid and efficient because I would be co-creating alongside individuals who have already been where I am going now, and I have learned that this journey is more enjoyable with companions and mentors.
2) What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I would continue my initiative, One Life Momentum, which has the objective to inspire at least 750,000 people by the year 2020. With this, I would continue writing, speaking and creating programs to help others. In addition, I would co-create a retreat with a focus on Purpose and it’s beautiful importance.
I would continue to collaborate with like-minded individuals to inspire and empower those who need a little motivation until they become an EMPOWERer themselves.
We all need mentors, guides and teachers in life, and if we could connect with others better – I believe stronger ties would be made.
Maybe even so strong that they become chains.
This is my intention.
Thank you.

I believe it would help make things happen quicker. Thanks to you Scott, as well! Really. You are helping a lot. I am much more enthusiastic and started to move things forward, the life is already started to be different.
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I would start business in Africa, Senegal for a start. And would invest in local people, paying the descent salaries, that make them feel respected and self-suficient. I have a dream to give back the dignity to an employee. Should be a profitable organization. I do not support charity’s idea as it creates dipendence. One part of profit would go to a fund to finance enthuastic people so they could create sth on their own, like microcredit. I totally agree with the idea in this ted talk by Ernesto Sirolli “Want to help someone? Shut up and listen” http://www.ted.com/talks/ernesto_sirolli_want_to_help_someone_shut_up_and_listen.html
Really worth watching.

Posted at 19:40h, 29 AugustScott, great question!
With the help of anyone I wanted, I would reverse the unfortunate fact that, as of Summer 2013, the morale of school teachers in the US is at a 20-year low. I would do this through writing several books for high-will teachers (there are 3.5 million teachers in the country; every school contains at least a handfull of high will, natural “teacher leaders”), speaking to them around the country (I’ve started that work but my exposure has been limited), and creating an affordable Fizzle.Co-like site for these teachers. The books excite me and have always been a dream, the speaking is a newfound passion, but the membership site is truly exciting as teacher education is notoriously ineffective and so is teacher PD (professional development). A site like this could literally change the face of how teachers are developed around the world.
[And yes, I did keep that to 4 sentences!]

For example, how to buy a home and choose a mortgage, handle ones finances, dept, dealing with pregnancy and raising a child, nutrition, buying a car, stuff that really matters in ones life but is usually not thought about until either there is little time to think about it or its too late. This would help a great number of people world wide in providing better choices and hopefully a better life. Education is the key to having a fair, just & peaceful future for the world.

Posted at 20:07h, 29 AugustI would revolutionize the film industry by making well-crafted, artistically excellent movies the only acceptable industry standard. Film holds the power to deeply impact people but, unfortunately, so much talent and so many resources are wasted producing meaningless, bad films that are released simply to make quick turnaround profit. What if, instead, the entire industry was focused not on profit but on impact, and cared more about people leaving theaters moved and inspired, instead of how much they could make? I think that mindset would not only end up selling more tickets in the long run, but could also change the world…

Posted at 03:06h, 30 AugustScott, thanks for doing this.. In 4 sentences or less this is what I would do if I had the help of anyone…
1. I would pursue my passion to travel and speak to women who are struggling to keep up with the demands of everyday life.
2. I would inspire them to make a difference in their own lives and the lives of their children by creating homes that are “havens.”
3. I would learn how to monetize my passion so I could be debt free and help my aging parents.
4. I would take my struggling business and turn it into one that is profitable, which would allow me to make a difference in the world by contributing to charitable works of many different kinds.
Thanks for encouraging us to do this…even if I don’t win the contest, this exercise has helped me create clarity in my own mind as to what I would “pursue” if I did have the help of “anyone I wanted.”

Posted at 03:09h, 30 AugustWhat would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I would create a community for an industry that supports one another; that strengthens itself; that provides empathy and encouragement. I would regenerate a building to make it a centre for my community to come together, learn and share. I would create programs that teach basic life skills that I feel are lacking in some of the younger generations, to enable them to go out into the world as young adults with a grip on what they want from the world, rather than floundering like I did for 7 years. I would create a business that promotes mindfulness, empathy, creativity and respect, which could be used a business model for future companies.

Posted at 06:32h, 30 AugustHow would my life be different if I had the help of anyone, pursue, create, do……..
I recently lost my Mother, my best friend, my mentor, my confident the woman I have strived to be for 44 years, and due to my hectic travel and work schedule I was unable to be there for her as much as I wanted to, and I have such regrets. I don’t want to have the same regrets when it comes to being a single parent and showing my 11 year old son the support that he needs and teaching him how to be a strong, but independent and gentle person.
With the help and support of anyone I would pursue and mesh my passions of creativity, inspiration and retail, by running a business that I can showcase my own creations and those of other artists who want to cultivate positive energy and share their message.

Posted at 06:35h, 30 AugustIf I had everyone’s help, I would pursue my dream of reducing emissions to mitigate climate change. I believe that half of the world’s environmental issues could be solved simply by planting trees, such as carbon sequestration, biodiversity, and salinity. My dream is to start my own bushcare group in my area which would plant trees adjacent to the local creek to improve the water quality and provide a habitat for animals (there are currently only 3 species of fish).
My massive dream would be to improve the connectivity of resources to cities to reduce emissions from the transport of goods. I already support Australian made products and food grown in Australia, and there are companies which supply food directly from local farmers to families. I would like to make transportation more efficient and reduce the distance that people and goods need to travel.
My life would change as I fulfil my dreams and live by the motto: “Think global, act local”.

Posted at 07:51h, 30 AugustFor as long as I can remember, as a little girl, I envisioned owning and operating my own book and/or media store. My idea was much like a library but more like Barnes& Noble. However as time went on technology has changed and book stores are almost extinct. Another thing that’s happened, with time, age and experience, is I’ve realized I LOVE people! Beside the fact that I love books, the smell, the nostalgia of turning the page, I really enjoy interacting with people. My aspirations now are to create a multi-media cafe that everyone can enjoy. To build a place that everyone feels free to sit in like a library, commune like a conference room, hang out in like a coffee shop.

Posted at 07:53h, 30 AugustWow. I am blown away by this question. Like, seriously having a moment here…
Recouped.
I don’t know where to start.
If I had the world in my corner, the help of anyone I wanted, I would be so much more likely to succeed than when left to my own devices. Having mentors in the past was crucial to my success – I wouldn’t be ALIVE if it wasn’t for a good friend and teacher of mine.
In short, I want to change the world. I want to help women find freedom from their limiting beliefs about food, about their bodies, about their lives, about their position in the world, about their connection to source/spirit/whatever-you-call-it, about their sexuality, about who they are as a person, as a soul living the human experience.
I want to be a GAME-CHANGER, and I have spent years working towards that goal, often without compensation, because I believe in it so much.
Thanks for asking and getting me to stop and really feel it, think about it. <3

Experience my Heart’s Desire to be a change agent world wide. I would feel more empowered to capitalize on opportunities to teach how to believe in and invoke the magic to make authentic desire become real.

Posted at 09:33h, 30 AugustAfter watching so many loved ones be affected by cancer and loosing many of them I would create a local cancer assistance center where assistance can be provided to help and support current and past cancer patients. For over a year, I witnessed 1st hand cancer patients walking alone into a chemo treatment center, go home alone, and had no one to talk to or share their fears with. For many of those who elected to share their stories, all they needed was an ear to listen and some basic assistance through the process. This organization would help with transportation, meals, home support (basic maintenance) and be staffed by those that have the understanding and compassion and belief that a cancer patient is just a day away from being a cancer survivor.

Posted at 10:27h, 30 AugustI really want to create online videos/short movies/comedy sketches… basically just tell great stories… but since that is an area I didn’t go to school for, not having an established network of friends doing the same thing has made it difficult to seek guidance. I’ve basically lived the last 3 years (since graduating university) in isolation from other creative people because there was pressure from friends and family to start making money right away instead of letting opportunities develop organically as I developed my work. I know deep down that I won’t escape this cycle I’m in until I change my current environment and start surrounding myself with other creative people who can guide me through this transition in my life.

It would help build an environment surrounded by inspiring people whom I could inspire to bring out the best in them and who would in turn help me be the best version of myself.
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I am a huge fanboy on the power of meditation to help us evolve as humans. I would like to start yoga and meditation centers across the country to help bring out the best in people. Another purpose in my life is to build sustainable businesses in rural India.

My life would be more focused, balanced and organized with the support and structure needed to launch my program to teach mindfulness to children, parents and teachers. I would not have to worry about the startup overhead expenses that has kept us from moving forward to fulfill the dreams, goals and mission of our nonprofit organization.
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I would pursue my dream and follow through with what was started. I would affect the world in positive ways one family and one teacher at a time. Those people I would continue to have an effect on others and the good would grow and just keep growing.

Posted at 12:13h, 30 August1. My life will be different because I’ll never submit another resume or online job profile again after having been unemployed for the past three years. I’ll start my dream business – a media company – initially publishing my own work and gradually expand to satellite radio and television.
2. Via my media company, I will publish my first book, my autobiography, after having Maya Angelou read it and guide me on how to re-write it in the same passionate and loving manner she writes everything. I’d also ask her to write the Forward for the book. Of course, I’ll also have commentary from some of my other favorite women celebrities, including Oprah Winfrey, Iyanla Vanzant, Paula White and Mrs. Serita Jakes, wife of Bishop T.D. Jakes. A portion of the proceeds of the book, (since I’m sure it will be a best seller) will be invested in real estate to provide quality and affordable housing options in growing metropolitan areas. I will have Robert Kiyosaki and Warren Buffet as my investing mentors to advise and guide me on how to invest wisely in order to build wealth to expand my affordable housing options in multiple areas. I will also establish a scholarship fund for other Central and Southern American immigrants who have come to this country seeking the American Dream. A portion of my earnings will be specifically earmarked for supporting Panamanian orphanages throughout Panama and I’ll travel the world sharing my story in my effort to inspire others to believe that anything is possible if they’re willing to work to make their dream(s) come true.

I would travel the world as a freelance photographer/photojournalist taking only the jobs that I believed in, and I would in some way teach or support children in their creative endeavors.
How would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
My life would be different because I would meet creative, interesting and passionate people that believe there are ways to do whatever you want in this world. People that don’t believe in “I can’t”… I would constantly learn from from them and get a much stronger sense of my own potential and creative voice at the ripe young age of 59. Who knows? Maybe I would even meet “my tribe”…

I expected to have an epiphany and be an invaluable asset to companies after I graduated with an MBA from grad school, why? Because everyone told me that. But I have now learned there is so much more to becoming a successful business professional. If I could go back in time and change certain things I would however, I now embrace the phrase “experience is what you get when you don’t get what you want.” My dream is to be a CFO and I would love to be groomed and taught how to be a successful at it by someone who has done it and desires to give that knowledge back. My life would be different because I’d be pursuing a career I love.

Have you read The Education of Millionaires by Michael Ellsberg? Ellsberg interviews millionaires in business (most of whom never went to B-School or even completed college) and how they were able to achieve their goal of success by learning skills that were not taught in school and how to pursue a career they loved.

We would change the story of what music is by writing music to inspire others to be their best selves and follow their own dreams, and we would change the music industry to ensure that everyone benefits. We would work to make sure that everyone hears her voice and her message and that she becomes an icon in the music industry, and, from there, use this position to rewrite the story and culture of education and other causes we are passionate about. I am already pursuing this goal, and with the help of anyone in the world, it would move much faster.

I have been working on figuring out my passion for the last year or so and I have a much clear image of what I want now. But I also realize how still stuck in my job I am wasting too many hours surrounded by people who are draining me of my energy. Scott, I remind myself daily that one is the average of the 5 people you spend most of your time with and I KNOW I need to get out of there ASAP. I want to run my own business, show my talents and put them to use to help people find each other and connect. It`s all happening.

Posted at 16:39h, 30 AugustIf I had the help and assistance of anyone, I would change the world; one word, one action, one movement, one day at a time. My passion for writing, spoken word, hearing others’ stories, suicide prevention and recovery (lost a friend to suicide recently), sexual assault prevention (something myself and many of my friends have experienced), health and well being, spiritual connection, and doing things that ignite the flame within my soul…these passions are my reason for existence. I recently started the LOYP course which is awesome, but I am in desperate need of powerful connections. Posted at 17:05h, 30 AugustWhat Would I Do If I Had the Help of ANYONE I Wanted?
I would create a world-wide network of connections between people of all ages and nations, rich and poor, maker and user, handcrafter and industrialist, based on the universal experience of cloth.
Like air, cloth surrounds us without our being aware of it most of the time. It touches us, tells our stories and histories and connects us with a host of people – again, without our being aware of it most of the time. It’s a small part of our lives – but awaking to even a small connection can help us break through strangeness and recognize our common humanity.

Posted at 17:14h, 30 AugustWow, I’m surprised! I thought I would be the only one with musical aspirations, but there are so many people with similar dreams on this site!
Scott, we only have to answer one question, correct? I would answer question #1 then.
1. If I could have the help of anyone I wanted, I would embark on a musical career after I graduate from college. The person whom I wish to seek as a mentor would be Ne-Yo, one of the most talented artists I have come across. I sure hope it is not too late for me to break into the music industry; I sing and dance for student events, but I’m not sure if I’m good enough to perform at a professional level. If I make it in the music industry, I would set up a record label for Asian Americans (the underdogs of the music industry) so that they do not have to suffer so much for their dreams because of their ethnicity.

If I could get help from anyone I wanted I would seek for mentors to figure out the best way to launch a company in wich I´ve been working with my family, that intends to support and invest in local entrepreneurs in the north of Argentina. Somedays it feels like a long and tough road without some heads-up and, even when I committed to pursue it anyway, it would be the coolest thing in the world to talk and learn from those who have already done similar things in the past.

Posted at 17:19h, 30 AugustQuestion: How would my life be different if I had the help of anyone I wanted?
Answer: I would have the opportunity to serve in a BIG way. I would learn and implement successful business strategies that enabled me to share my passion of equipping individuals with information and tools to change limiting stories of themselves into empowering stories of who they are, who they can be, what they are capable of doing and what they are worthy of experiencing in life. I would be able to share my signature message, Changing Your Story, Changes Your Life and help those that I serve redefine what’s possible in their lives.
Question: What would I pursue, what would I create, what would I do?
Answer:I would pursue the expansion of my online personal development platform to include videos, podcasts and training programs aligned with my signature message: Changing Your Story, Changes Your Life.
I would create engaging, empowering and fun learning experiences online and offline with the help of joint ventures.
I would utilize the expertise of my community to create life-changing experiences that leaves a mark on their lives that would not be erased. I would live my legacy now.

Posted at 18:10h, 30 AugustHow would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
NO BARRIERS! That is how my life could be described if I could have the help of anyone I wanted. But why? Because there are plenty of people in this world with a different array of amazing and incredible talents that could help us eliminate those barriers. They could move away those barriers from us, because we don’t have the talents they have, but we certainly have other talents that some other people don’t have.
FAITH! My life would be filled with hopes and the faith that my dreams will come true because big barriers won’t be there. Nevertheless, everything depends on me. Why? Because the barrier may be removed, but I still need the motivation to walk on and cross the bridge that is between my status quo and my dream. THAT, requires of a lot of faith, effort, concentration, precision, innovation, creativity but most of all PASSION AND PERSEVERANCE TO SPEND MOST OF YOUR TIME DOING THINGS THAT MAKE MY DREAM COME TRUE!
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
My dream is related to the place that watched me grow and made me be the person that I am today. To the place that has given me, most of my physical and personality characteristics. To the place that has given me endless opportunities. And that place is LATIN AMERICA. I am from Ecuador, but I live in Panama. Along the way I have been influenced by a lot of nationalities, starting from part of my family who are from Chile, my colleagues are from Venezuela and Panama my best friends are from Colombia, Panama and Brazil.
Latin America is the world´s most unequal continent. In my continent we have the biggest gap between rich and poor. My dream is to create an NGO that focuses on building sustainable cities in Latin America. Cities that give the same opportunities to the rich and poor. Cities that have no race or income distinction. Cities that have a great infrastructure but also know the importance of recycling, having green areas, having social participation, and that include the bicycle as a mean of transportation (and many other things). All these important factors are necessary to build sustainable cities and should be implemented with great doses of innovation, creativity, culture, music, art and passion! In order to make these difficult initiatives to become a reality, we need the private enterprise to directly contribute with the NGO and the city, but not only with financial help, but also with human resources that could help build the concept of sustainable cities in their free time. We need committed citizens in order to make the reality of Latin America to change! I believe that if we all contribute to a common goal, we can achieve it because TOGETHER WE ARE STRONGER.
That is why I want to give my first step Live your Legend team and start with How to Connect with Anyone! Because I want to get to know people, know what they like, what they don’t, what gets them motivated. WHY? Because I want help, but also I want to help anyone that needs. I want to have a network of motivated, creative and go-getter people, who despite of being sometimes afraid of challenges they have the courage to get out there and ask for help; people that help genuinely and people who want to see others succeed. I want to be surrounded by that and I think this is a great way to have that.
(Sorry I wrote too long, I got inspired hehe) Thanks for giving us this opportunity Live Your Legend Team!!

Posted at 18:42h, 30 AugustIf I had the help of anyone I wanted, I would finance design and construction opportunities for low-income housing, rehabilitation centers, and shelters around the world. The problem of homelessness is complex, and pervasive-from refugees in Syria to mentally disable military veterans here in California-but I believe that physical buildings, and the resources to sustain them, would provide a meaningful space for education, social change, and a better world.
My role in this dream is to organize, facilitate, and direct the design process in a collaborative, deliberate way that attracts artists, designers, musicians, and writers together: to create buildings and communities that are both sustainable and beautiful. As an architect, I’m equipped with the tools to draw up a set of plans for a building or city, but the ability to transcend typical construction and create a unique and living environment would benefit from the unique talents of a multi-disciplinary team.
*Thanks for this opportunity, Scott, look forward to your writing each week. Best, Adam

Posted at 19:18h, 30 AugustHow would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
I will pursue all my passions and not worry about failing or being ridiculed for my “crazy” dreams. I won’t worry about having too many passions or interests because the person I want to help me will fuel the fire of my passions instead of dump water on it. In short, I will have the courage to be me.
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I have a passion for learning and experiencing the world in exciting, memorable ways. As a way to ignite these passions, I would create a community with these passions as the foundation. The community would participate in memorable, once-in-a-lifetime experiences (e.g. accompanying National Geographic on an expedition to the Amazon Rain Forest), serve in memorable ways (e.g. volunteer at a hospital in Peru for children with cleft lips), and learn new skills (e.g. learn the art of Chinese basket weaving).
After the community is organized, I will create an association which enables members to experience the world, serve others, and learn new skills with other members of the association.

Posted at 19:25h, 30 AugustWith the right, caring people in my corner who won’t let me fail, my passion would be unleashed and my life would be fulfilled by teaching and helping people take their “leadership to the next level” with the “design” of a positive, constructive “leadership foundation” and “leadership brand” creating a “collaborative advantage” for all of us! The leadership book I authored would change the lives and leadership of millions of people all over the world and win the hearts, minds and creativity of knowledge workers by engaging workers with “what matters most” to them about leaders and leadership for the 21st century! I would pursue designing a website/blog and leadership lab/university where millions of people could learn, collaborate and keep evolving leadership and leaders to be the best in the world and help sustain our organizations . . . I commit myself and work to this dream and LEADERSHIP REVOLUTION! It’s time to see what I am capable of and what we are capable of together!!

Posted at 19:27h, 30 AugustWhat would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I would pursue to grow a mentoring company that focuses on helping individuals within the age group of 14 to 22 in their academic goals, and create for them opportunities to find their dream job.
I would expand and create programs/methods that would support them with their time management skills, confidence, and communication abilities.
I would continue to find ways for them to personal improve themselves, and become better versions of themselves, and improve those around them.
I would continue to be a person who has compassion for those I work with, and always exhibit unconditional love in everyone, and everything that I do.
Thanks Scott for the opportunity to do something great, and to be able to shine through others.

Posted at 19:32h, 30 AugustIf I had the support of *anyone,* I believe I’d finally be able to eek out genuine self-confidence that lies beneath my facade of bravado. I’d have a mentor and confidant to encourage me to keep up my blog, monetize my expertise, and share my talents much more so than I do now. I’d have someone to help me face my financial challenges and not-so-great decisions I’ve made in the past that continue to hold me back. I’d become a non-profit management consultant, share my knowledge, and be able to make more organizations than just my employer stronger and increase their impact, while choosing my clients and leading my life in the direction I choose.

Posted at 20:05h, 30 AugustHow would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
I would finally know and cherish the blessing of community. Like a exiled poor man, I’ve walked this journey alone. Not because of a cruel upbringing, or inconceivable tragedy, but because I’ve never learned to trust, to share, to ask for help and then receive it. To graciously bask in the warm, soft glow of support and contribution of another would connect and ground me to the beautiful community of souls that I longingly watch pass me by and eagerly turn from in fear.
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I would spend my life sharing and connecting to people. Not just to my friends and family, but to the woman in the grocery store with two crying kids and no one to help carry her groceries. To the man behind the counter at the convenience store who could use a smile, and feel connected, and appreciated while he does the most profound job, to be of service to others. I would change my perspective from judgement and seperation to that of compassion and unity. I would love.

I believe the act of stepping into the role one was placed on this earth for would free you from fear, shame and the thought of not being enough.
2.What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I would want to help people understand that they have a voice, that they have the right to a good education, clean air and water and free chose. I believe that too many people have been discouraged for too long to make a stand for themselves, their communities, their nation and this world. Helping people realize that there are strength in number and how to leverage that strength.
I would also want to develop a global organization that provided free basic health care to all people.

Posted at 21:23h, 30 AugustHow would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
First it would save me time and unnecessary frustration. Rather than try to painstakingly figure out something for myself I could simply model the success of that person. Why reinvent the wheel?
But ultimately regardless of if I had the help of my person of choice I would still find a way to success.
Its not the resources you have but rather how resourceful you are.
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I am already starting to pursue my dream of helping people break out of their unfulfilled lives, break out of the jobs they hate and become entrepreneurs that make a difference.

Posted at 21:27h, 30 AugustIf I could have the help of anyone, anyone affluent I would try to help the female youth of Ethiopia especially in the rural Amhara Region where over more than half of Ethiopian population is between the age of 15-24 from leaving Ethiopia in search for better life migrate in large numbers to Arab countries to work as domestic workers.
The rural Amhara region of Ethiopia is rocky, unfriendly and mountainous where any type of modern living and the oportunity to see one surviving in this changing world is limited and totally absent.
They young people have cell phones and know of or the idea of life in urban areas, cities, media, western movies and of affluent societies and therefore in order to achieve is to flee their hopeless region, country, disguise themselves as muslims, disguise their age and head to Sudan, Yemen, Saudi Arabia etc.
Young females from the rural Amhara region leave Ethiopia every single day by the thousands and it breaks my heart how the government was not ready for the youth of Ethiopia especially the females with sufficient employment opportunities, school dropouts and those who complete high school but with no opportunity to join higher learning institutes.

Posted at 21:29h, 30 AugustThinking about this for the last couple of days, i realized that i can’t answer number 1 until I answer number 2. Then i realized that i am already doing that which i would be doing… funny how things work out sometimes.
I would continue writing the book i started to write in July. The same one that was pushing to come out for a couple of years but i never found the time to start until in July i was musing myself with the question of what would i do if i only had 3 months to live. I plan on publishing it because i believe it will offer people a valuable perspective, inspire them to hold themselves lightly and with respect while motivating them to grow the best version of themselves…for the benefit of all beings.
You see, I believe that we are all holons and as we come together in relationships, we form holons with others. We call those formations families, businesses, organizations, political systems, etc. The remarkable and most overlooked thing is that everyone of these formations is only as strong as it’s weakest building block. Since we are the building blocks of everything we create, we must be the most we can be in order to create the formations we greatly depend on – from the family to the presidential cabinet. So, i must publish this book!
Therefore, the answer to question number one would be that life will be different in the sense that i will meet the publisher who will undertake the publishing of this book and help me spread the word out there. The book will become a bestseller because it will excite everyone reading it about their potential to evolve and contribute. After all, no one can resist the temptation of their best selves and the juiciness of living under the influence of one’s personal greatness. Besides, i am funny, provocative and unconventional. So, I am sure a few people will get their panties in a tight bunch. Perfect, I say! Everyone has to start somewhere.
That’s the short term plan.
The long term plan involves using the insights of the book to create training programs. And of course, at least a couple of more books…because i have a lot to say and i am very excited to say it 🙂

Posted at 21:43h, 30 AugustImagine some creative teachers and mentors with expertise in life-skills, and a love for children and the outdoors come together and have a place where orphans and widowed families can live, work, and learn. Where religion is neither forced, nor neglected; learning is by both doing, and the book; and kids have a chance to know what it is like to be a part of a family.
It might have begun as a “charity”, but this establishment could become self-sufficient (e.g., selling produce from gardens, hand-made items, and/or animal products).
All in all, this dream would land somewhere beyond the Boy Scouts and just below the first-star-on-the-right, but above a boarding school.

Posted at 23:22h, 30 AugustThe biggest benefit to me from the “How to Connect with Anyone” course would be having a supportive group that would hold me accountable for daily actions that will help me find passionate people who share compatible goals, who need my skills…and can afford to pay for them.
And the first thing I would do is fulfill a 25 year old dream by working full time in the Education, Tours or Events departments at the San Diego Safari Park or SD Zoo. I would help them create experiences that would leave guests feeling amazed, rejuvenated and more protective of nature.

Posted at 23:33h, 30 AugustI would start a online marketing company. Build the business and quit my day job. Become a stay at home dad. Having the support of people who truly wanted you to reach the stars would be life changing. I’ve never had support like this in my life. I’m sure more greater things would emerge while being surrounded by great people.

Posted at 23:50h, 30 AugustHow would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
I think my life would be more focused and less turbulent. I find that trying to fit into the ‘norms’ of those around me makes me doubt my business decisions and ideas for the future. I feel the pressure to having to their goals to ‘fit in’. I love my friends and family, but I would love to have people around me that I could share my ideas with and be pushed to try harder to succeed in the things I am passionate about. That would be the best of both worlds.
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I am really passionate about seeing more women in leadership and mentoring positions, especially in the business field. With the rise of online business and an increasing number of individuals becoming entrepreneurs at a younger age there is still an imbalance of females at the top of this field. We live in a digital age, the strong hold of male dominated workplaces should be over. There are no more reasons not to have an equal gender split of men and women in this world of business. I would like work with and encourage more female entrepreneurs in the online business space.

Posted at 23:56h, 30 August1. How would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
I know that I was born to help people change their lives and I’ve always firmly believed in adding value to others lives by making a positive impact. With the right person/people in my corner, my life would be all about helping people get the recognition that they deserve to help them get to the next level in their lives. There are so many undiscovered exceptionally bright, talented, and creative people in this world that have not had the opportunity to share their gifts and talents with the world. So many of us are plugging away at dead-end jobs, living day to day without living out why we are here in the first place. Gone should be the days where the graveyard is the richest place on earth. Outlets that create opportunity should be abound.
2. What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I would create/produce a daytime talk show that focused solely on motivating/encouraging people and making genuine connections to help people take their dreams/talents/creative abilities to the next level. I would create an environment equivalent to Scott Dinsmore LYL + The Oprah Winfrey Show on steroids!!!!!

Posted at 00:02h, 31 AugustI’ve needed to wear hearing aids since I was a little girl, which gave me a deeply ingrained insecurity. I feel my life would be improved though your course as I struggle with figuring out what to say/how to connect well with my peers in my graduate program and entrepreneurs in my line of work. The LOYP course has been terrific for developing my confidence and abilities to connect thus far, but I need to go further. My dream is to start a coaching company that helps deaf and hard of hearing persons become entrepreneurs or find meaningful work.

Posted at 08:33h, 31 August1) How would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
I’d connect with many like-minded people around the world and build an empire that connects, supports and encourages people around the world to being more true to themselves, their real passions and ready to live life to the fullest!
I could go on and on but I think I’ve already broken the “4 sentences” rule 😉

Posted at 23:15h, 31 AugustI hope you will consider this even though it’s Saturday night. Please read, at least.
Q: How would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted? What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
My answer:
I would turn back the clock to well before I was diagnosed with stage IV carcinoid cancer (last year), even before it started in my body. I would not waste so much time on things, thoughts or people that were toxic to me and my body. I would pursue my dream of being a world-renowned inspirational speaker and writer, creating a program designed with my life’s purpose in mind: To inspire others to see BEYOND the challenges they face in life. And I would have traveled throughout all the continents with the same message.
Thank you for your consideration.

Posted at 12:18h, 03 September1. How would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
2. What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
1. If I could receive help from a healing lining celebrity that is passionate about the issues I am passionate about then I could make it possible for my ideas of change and advocacy to spread to millions of people! And boy oh boy would that be awesome. Ashton Kutcher for instance would be a great one to join forces with me.
2. My dream is to start a clothing line that spreads awareness of slavery in the world without being too harsh or forceful about it. I want very stylish and up to bar designs that all the hip kids would be into wearing.
But that is just the tip of the ice burg. The clothes would be made by women in india that are rescued from slavery and prostitution and given the opportunity to have a new life. I would like to work with FreeSet Organization who does just that. I just need to show them I would have a high enough demand for the more modern designs in order for them to teach the women the designs. I am very passionate about this topic because in the summer of 2009 when I traveled to India for one month and my eyes were opened to the disheartening fact of poverty and sin in this world. There in India I met over 100 girls, as young as 8 years old that had been rescued from brothels where they were forced to have sex with 15-20 men a day. This shattered my heart and I could not ignore the desire for justice and wanting to do something about this.
There is more but I don’t to make this too long because I want you to read this!!!
Thank you so much for this opportunity to share my passion and encouraging me in pursuing my dream.

Posted at 10:10h, 04 SeptemberHow would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
It would dream come true. I’ve literally never had any help from anyone. I come from a place where everyone tries to force their reality on you. They would try to hold me down and keep me from reaching my dreams of success. Anything that is out of the simple 9-5 job or college direction is looked upon as an automatic fail. I’ve lost many relationships because they can’t understand who I am and what I’m living for. I want success as much I need air. I’m almost certain that I’d already be on my way to success if I had the help and guidance from just anyone. I never quit and pour my passion into everything I do. I may not have money in my bank account but I’ve reached so many goals in other areas that only love can out weigh. All on my own since I’m the only one I know with such a passion for all things in life. Can you imagine if I had more people like me or better? You see, I only focused on things that I loved and money wasn’t one of them. I’d give away my last dollar before I considered holding on to it. Success is the one thing I’ve neglected until recently. It’s now my one and only mission in life. It’s a sense of freedom, accomplishment and ability to give back to this world that drives me. Of course I would love to live freely without worry of finances but leaving a legacy is my ultimate dream. I want to make a difference in every life I possiblely can. Short story, I couldn’t sleep one night and stumbled upon you speaking on TED. I think at that moment, my life changed forever. You gave so many inspiring points but the one thing that really hit me was, “you’re the average of the five people you spend the most time with”. It all made sense finally! I swear by it now and nothing means more to me at this point than to find inspiring dreamers and role models. My years wouldn’t have gone to waste if I heard that sooner. Dropped all my friends because they really were bringing my average down all these years. In fact, I was the one increasing their average. Lets say I’m not surrounded my dreamers whatsoever. I packed up my things and moved to San Francisco 3 months ago in search of more inspiring people to surround myself with. Things needed to change and I wasnt going to sit around waiting. Although I havent met anyone as of yet, I know it will happen regardless if this contest. My point, just hearing you speak has made a difference in my life already. You were someone I automatically gravitated with since I saw myself in you. You gave a little advice and I quickly ran with it. Can you imagine if I had someone like you in my corner?
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I would pursue the many inventions and ideas I have in my head that would help this world. Start a business that helps starving people around the workd. Give to charities that make an impact on everyday lives. Change the lives of people long after I pass. One of the things I care most about is to inspire others. The obstacle in inspiration is that its often measured in success. You’ve got to have it before anyone’s willing to listen or be inspired. No one will listen if you have nothing to back it up. You ask what would I persue, create and do? Well, I would persue success in any shape or form. Create more people that want to live for more than being just a slave and provide paths for them to follow (much like you). And I would live to inspire each life I can touch.
Thanks,
Tuan

Posted at 11:16h, 04 SeptemberThank you for asking!
I would pursue the goal of building a company for designing, producing and distributing my product idea for a revolutionary clock. I would create a workplace that would be steeped in conscious decision-making generated from my beliefs and studies in left/right brain integration, conscious capitalism, and the science behind mindful living. Then we’ll build the revolutionary clock that will show time not in numbers but through images in nature, images that trigger the onlooker’s awareness for their moment in space and time, and empowers them to make conscious decisions for leading a balanced, productive life which equals eternal happiness. I would build the network for igniting the design team engines and use their success to drive through every valley and over every hilltop to make the idea real. I have a dream!
There’s faith that it’s tangible; there’s supporters I’ve shared the design with who want one right now; and there’s the nagging persistent voice in my head that wont let me ignore it.
Thank you again for creating the platform for asking.
Sincerely yours,

Posted at 15:55h, 04 SeptemberHow would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
If I had the help of anyone I wanted, I would be able to learn how to turn my dreams into my reality. I’m not interested in making a profit, I’m interested in making enough money to live with the essentials; food, water, roof over my head, and the bills paid. I believe in myself, but there is only so much I can do when I don’t understand the business side of things. I would love to network with like minded people who inspire me as well.
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I would pursue a life where I travel the world teaching children and adults to believe in themselves and their dreams. I want people to know that they can be happy. I want to share my own life story and lessons with them to let them know they can do it as well. I’m not sure what format to use to get my story across. I want to create a world where people listen to their hearts and follow their passion.

Ultimately, It would not be my life that would be all that different as much as those who would benefit from the service I could develop.
As an innovator and entrepreneur I incessantly seek sustainable and efficient solutions to prevailing issues. Leveraging the experience of seasoned mentors, I would focus and dedicate my time to further develop my innovative water conservation business.

Posted at 14:50h, 05 SeptemberHow would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
I would do work that fills my heart with joy, like helping people organize their lives, their finances and plan events. I find satisfaction in helping people find solutions to everyday problems, like organizing a cluttered home for busy working parents; or organizing people’s finances by creating budgets, and organizing their investment strategies. Most people sign up with HR and blindly choose investment strategies that are not supported by lifelong saving strategies. I would focus on helping those people create sound retirement and/or saving plans.
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I would create a one person enterprise (at first) that would provide above mentioned services to a specifically target audience of working parents. This would provide the one on one interaction with people that I find most fulfilling in any work function; in my mind, if you are not interacting with other humans, your humanity starts to die. I sit behind a desk all day long and crave the ability to interact with other earthlings. All too often working parents are busy working and taking care of the day to day and ultimately end up neglecting the need to get organized in order to be more productive. I would also focus on creating my business solely using the internet and without a storefront at the start; this would not only to maximize funding, but also to gain the benefits of social media.

Posted at 07:30h, 07 SeptemberWhat Would You Do If You Had the Help of ANYONE You Wanted?
If I had the help of anyone in the world, I would most want the help of the person or group that could assist me in providing basic needs for every human on our beautiful planet, and stop the persons and groups responsible for allowing such a huge and easily solvable problem go on as if everything is OK!!!!! I’m very passionate about this issue and I hope others will join, and take action against such foolish greed of our resources. They is more than enough for all, and no one should be without….

Posted at 01:51h, 03 FebruaryMy name is Mary Isidra am from USA. i want to use this opportunity to thank my great doctor who really made my life a pleasurable one today. This great man DR.Abu Fatima brought my husband back to me, i had three lovely kids for my husband, about four years ago i and my husband has been into one quarrel or the other until he finally left me for one lady. i felt my life was over and my kids thought they would never see their father again. i tried to be strong just for the kids but i could not control the pains that torments my heart, my heart was filled with sorrows and pains because i was really in love with my husband. Every day and night i think of him and always wish he would come back to me, until one day i met a good friend of mine that was also in a situation like me but her problem was her ex-boyfriend who she had an unwanted pregnancy for and he refused to take responsibility and dumped her. she told me that mine was a small case and that i should not worry about it at all, so i asked her what was the solution to my problems and she gave me this great man email address. i was doubting if this man was the solution, so i contacted this great man and he told me what to do and i deed them all, he told me to wait for just two day and that my husband will come crawling on his kneels just for forgiveness so i faithfully deed what this great man asked me to do and for sure after two days i heard a knock on the door, in a great surprise i saw him on his kneels and i was speechless, when he saw me, all he did was crying and asking me for forgiveness, from that day, all the pains and sorrows in my heart flew away, since then i and my husband and our lovely kids are happy.that’s why i want to say a big thank you to DR.Abu Fatima spiritual temple. This great man made me to understand that there is no problem on earth that has no solution so please if you know that you have this same problem or any problem that is similar, i will advise you to come straight to this great man. you can email him at:abufatima77powerspellcaster@gmail.com

Posted at 01:32h, 05 FebruaryIf I could connect with anyone I want, my life would change dramatically. I will be able to reach my goal: living well as a digital nomad. I will be able to be the go-to expert regarding bipolar disorder and mental illness. I will create my community for people with Bipolar disorder, where I can help others to live a fabulous life, a life among the stars, a in order instead of disorder. I will have the power to change how the health care works (and don’t work) regarding bipolar disorder.
I will do this with or without the Connect with Anyone course, but with your help it will be done faster, better and with more confidence. I so much want this! This movement of mine is something I can’t NOT do, I have to pursue it. It has taken a road of it own in my head. I just have to follow my souls orders. 😀

Posted at 16:03h, 05 February1.How would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
I believe very strongly in the saying that you are the average sum of the 5 people you are around the most. To fill one of those 5 pillars with the entire ‘connect with anyone course’ would allow me to reach an entirely new level both personally and professionally.
2. What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I would soak in the knowledge while offering just as much back to others in the course. Through connecting with anyone, I would expand my business to greater scale while cementing my personal brand to greater heights.

Posted at 22:45h, 05 FebruaryAfter completing my 20-year career as a military photographer, I decided not pursue a career as a commercial photographer, as I was convinced that my lack of sales and business experience would result in failure. Instead, I’ve been working for the past 13 years in a mind numbing, stress filled civilian job. In my early 50’s now, I have a strong urge to leave the 9-to-5 and pursue a life as a professional nature, wildlife, and travel photographer. With the ability to connect with a few professional photography influencers, I know I could get past my business/sales roadblocks and realize my dream of being a commercial photography success.

Posted at 09:11h, 07 FebruaryHow would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
I feel that if I had the help of someone who had created their own business in the same profession as mine (graphic design & marketing) it would be a huge boost to my confidence. Simply knowing I had access to someone who had been through the same problems, encountered the same pitfalls and had come through a success would do a lot to put my fears of the unknown to rest.
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I would want my business to focus on small businesses and non-profits who can’t afford to have a large marketing budget. I would work with them to develop inexpensive and effective marketing so they can grow their own businesses. I would also like to mentor new designers so they can learn in an environment that doesn’t take advantage of their inexperience.

As I expected, most of them didn’t respond, but those that did have become fantastic allies. And I have to say, getting a response from them changed my life!
