The 3-Day Contest Starts Now: Win a Lifetime Scholarship to How to Connect with Anyone
Today we’re going to have some fun!
Next Wednesday morning February 12th at 9am PST is the launch of our fourth opening of How to Connect with Anyone, and today I want to throw down a challenge and give you the chance to win a free lifetime course scholarship.
To enter, all you have to do is answer one question in the comments by this Friday at midnight PST. Then on Monday I’ll announce the winner (we might even have more than one!).
Here are the questions:
- How would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
- What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
Tell us your dream in 4 sentences or less. All we want to know is how you could most benefit from the How to Connect with Anyone course. Can’t wait to hear!
Oh and the first 20 commenters will be guaranteed a spot in the course when we open it next week (unless you win the contest – then you’re all set either way). The first 20 will still have to purchase it but at least you can be sure you’ll get one of the spots!
Email readers, click here to enter the contest.
I owe everything I have to the people around me.
Everything I’ve created. Everything I’ve experienced. Everything I’ve gotten to do. And certainly nothing about Live Your Legend would exist if it weren’t for the people in my corner. The people who’ve shown me what’s possible and those who have refused to let me fail.
That started with my parents and family. Then my wife Chelsea. My friends. The authors, the TED speakers, the peers and mentors who have built things before me and supported and inspired me to think bigger and act bigger.
You see most people don’t do things because they don’t believe they’re possible.
And they don’t believe it’s possible because they don’t have anyone around them who’s done anything like it before. And worse yet, instead they often have a bunch of people telling them they’re stupid for trying. After all, what’s the point in trying if you know it can’t be done?
But that’s the exciting part.
Once we get a glimpse of possibility, everything starts to change.
Once we start to hang around people doing the things we didn’t think could be done, those ‘impossible’ actions, lifestyles and careers start to become normal. And with that new normal, our reality starts to change. We start to pursue the projects we always dreamed of, or better yet the projects we never had the courage or creativity to dream up in the first place.
Environment truly is everything.
That’s why we built our How to Connect with Anyone course and community.
It’s an in-depth training and community designed to guide you in surrounding yourself with the people who won’t let you fail.
It’s intimate by design. That’s why we only let a max of 250 people in each time we open it, despite a few thousand being on the wait list. We hand place you into mastermind & accountability groups – many of which have lead to best friendships and business partners for our past members. We show you how to add real value to anyone you meet and how to genuinely build lifelong relationships with the peers and mentors necessary to build your ideal career. But most importantly we provide an online community and environment that makes some pretty wild dreams and ideas actually become possible.
But you’ll hear more about all that next week.
For now I want to challenge you…
What would you do if you had the support of anyone in the world?
What would you attempt? Would you write that bestseller, start that charity, lose those 30 pounds, quit that soul-sucking job or finally pursue your passion for art?
Dig deep, get creative and have some fun with this.
Because with the right people in your corner, more is possible than you could ever imagine.
I look forward to sharing that with you.
-Scott
P.S. You must submit your answer via a comment on LYL by this Friday at midnight PST. On Monday I will announce the winner (and perhaps a few fun runners up), who will get a lifetime scholarship to How to Connect with Anyone and join us for all the fun starting next week.
Oh and in a few days I’ll also be sharing a personal video of my own story of how changing my surroundings lead to a $96k difference in my income – always a fun one to tell ;).
Now take 20 seconds and tell us your answer in the comments!
Remember – the first 20 commenters will be guaranteed a spot in the course when we open it next week (unless you win the contest – then you’re all set either way). The first 20 will still have to purchase it but at least you can be sure you’ll get one of the spots!

Posted at 22:52h, 04 FebruaryMy life would be different because I’d be able to focus the majority of my work time to consistently increase my knowledge and skill set in martial arts and fitness, allowing me to more fully realize my dream of helping people heal physically, mentally, and emotionally through participation in a martial art or fitness program. I’d also be able to train myself daily and continue on my own healing path. I would be more confident in the education and opportunities I could provide my children. I would be able to enjoy more quality time with my wife instead of stressing over sometimes only having 10 to 15 minutes a day with her. I will achieve these things either way, however with help it would happen much faster.

Posted at 23:58h, 04 FebruaryQuestion #2
I will start buy quitting my job (which might just happen in the next 2 months). I would pursue my dream of starting my own business staring by helping companies with generational clash and sustainability issues. Then I will manufacture a product (needs to be determined) in an environmental way by giving back to the community and not have profit maximization as an ultimate goal but rather to improve other people’s lives. The ultimate goal would be to change how the financial market is structured only on a short term basis and does not look further than the upcoming trimester.

Posted at 00:06h, 05 February1. It would mean I could unravel my brain and find what it is I need to share with the world.
2. This is the question, the exact question I want to answer. Help me answer it, please.

Posted at 00:12h, 05 FebruaryI will make the beauty of nature available to the world by providing the most extensive 360* video collection of the most remote and wild place in the world. People will be able to explore Earth as if there were there and enjoying amazing landscapes. Most of all, I want to be able to share with everyone the overwhelming feeling of freedom that only can be perceived in those places that have to be earned just to be in.
I’m starting this idea through Running Road Trip (www.runningroadtrip.com) but I hope to make it a living and brought even more to the people: hope and inspiration.

Posted at 08:33h, 06 FebruaryI checked out your website and your project sounds awesome! I can’t wait to see your videos. I signed up for your newsletter so I can follow along.
My kids and I took a 3600 mile road trip last summer to Bryce, Zion and the Grand Canyon.
Now I’ve got a plan to visit the 51 Capitals in 51 days this summer. I plan to have my blog up and running for it by the end of the month.

Posted at 00:12h, 05 FebruaryI would spend my time making art and empowering everyone to see how their creativity can make this world a better place (while also making money to put bread on the table). I would also like to find and align with a non-profit that empowers underprivileged group(s) through the arts/meditation/yoga and use Artist Think as a vehicle to support that non-profit. I am working on it and will continue to no matter who you choose (good luck! I’m sure it will be difficult), but the right people and the right kind of help certainly can bring impetus to a project! And that support and insight is priceless.

If I knew how to tap into the help and resources I need, I would want to create some wonder in the world. I would have the courage to quit my job and build a community of RAKters. I would pull out my notebook of ideas and know how to turn each one a reality.

Posted at 00:16h, 05 FebruaryDesign is my passion. If I could do anything, it would be to design both passive and interactive elements that would interrupt the habitual patterns of work/eat/complain/repeat that we all get stuck in. I believe that interrupting these patterns restarts the thought processes in the brain and allows us the opportunity to critically engage with and consider our surrounding environments: where we are, what we are, and why we are.

I’ve become a Certified Hawaiian Shamanic Practitioner in result of my journey to healing.

Posted at 00:17h, 05 FebruaryI want to live a life that gives back to the world and in places that need it the most. I would want to create a program where it enables people to connect with the right resources and organizations, sort of like a guide – in turn finding the right people to help the right international organization where both parties win. This allows people to see the beautiful world, meet new people, travel and all while helping create a more positive atmosphere that will be able to continue after they leave the program. I want to be able to be a resource where people can turn to in order to restore some sort of humanity, compassion and love that everyone has inside of them but all for a greater good and purposeful cause. .

Posted at 00:19h, 05 FebruaryI would start a REVOLUTION. Yes that’s right, its no small task so I need your help Scott.
What the revolution is all about – Vegan, wholefood, health, vitality, life, cooking, joy, healing, learning, nourishment from the inside out. I want to start a global company that reaches out to anyone who has been told they need to eat a certain way to get overcome illness, but they have no idea where to start. This is my dream, my passion and what I spend every hour of the day thinking about, so how about it?
Torkel
Posted at 09:56h, 05 FebruaryI would support you in that one. I have been on a healing journey myself lately after serious disease and it’s a jungle out there… Budwig diet, ketonic diet, meditranian, vegan, you name it..
When you are in recovery you just don’t have the strength for it. I would love to know how you would set it up to make it easier for people… Would you research alone or crowdsource all the different knowledge around somehow?

Posted at 00:21h, 05 FebruaryI have deep passion into learning new things, trying them on myself, and then teaching others, who might be interested in, or does shows interest in whay I do. I have deep feeling, that people around me, especially younger generation, nowadays knows too little about sports and active lifestyle in general, know nothing about and all kinds of fun sports they could be doing, like orienteering, geo caching, hiking, etc. They just don’t pay attention to their health and fitness. I would pursue movement to organize sporting events to people by people, gatherings of active mindsets and having fun now and then.

Posted at 00:26h, 05 February52% of the population in my country are under the age of 18. Only 12% of 14-17 year olds in my nation attend secondary school. We have one of the highest rates of working poverty in the world. Five out of ten young workers are undereducated or overeducated for the work they do and six out of ten receive below average wages. My dream is to turn this around. I want remove barriers and create opportunities for young people to have hope for the future and live meaningful lives by setting up a national mentorship program like the Junior Achievement (JA) Initiative to empower young people through education and entrepreneurship.

Posted at 00:26h, 05 February1. I would be liberated and stimulated – barriers and obstacles would be stripped away, limits eliminated and my thinking, doing and being would be expanded beyond recognition!
2. I would started an environmental regeneration project to restore 100 blocks of 100 acres to their natural condition. Each would be an oasis of conservation, education and eco-tourism.

Posted at 00:27h, 05 FebruaryIf I had the help of anyone I wanted that would mean that I had learned the difference between solitary struggle and being aligned with my purpose in a community of support and solidarity. I would then be able to witness and participate in a world where altruism and the good of all were both goals and manifestations. I would pursue writing inspiring books and courses and producing events, videos and films (in French in France where I live) that allowed people to create conscious and confident change in themselves and their world.

Posted at 00:28h, 05 FebruaryWith the help of a circle of warriors of light (a la Paulo Coelho – a literary helper), I will start a re-evolution. I too believe that environment and awareness is everything. I will teach youth and adults how to access intention and awareness through movement and connection to nature. I am currently piloting a school program and with support, I will change this into an independent, revenue generating program that can help thousands of people and spread the social evolution we need to reverse our society’s destructive tide. Posted at 00:29h, 05 FebruaryNot only would I quit my job, I would be making the difference in a child less fortunate than I am. I would help them pursue their dreams, ambitions and helo them.overcome challenges that others would have given up on. I would make a difference, I would be the difference and they would be my legacy. With their help I would create a foundation of endless possibilities which would focus on children ages 13 to 18 who wouldnt have normally had this opportunity to change their life and their future.

Posted at 00:32h, 05 FebruaryI live in South Africa and we are notorious for one of the poorest education systems in the world and poverty levels that would horrify any developed country inhabitants. With access to anyone in the world to help me I would look to build a school in a rural area, equipped with a kitchen to feed hungry tummies, a library and computer room, desks and stationery and a playground.

Posted at 00:34h, 05 FebruaryI would create a non-proft called Love is the Movement that would be dance, yoga and movement based on how love can change the world. The movement would help to celebrate, understand and create connections around the world through the use of the human language of movement. It would also be a storytelling of the people and cultures around the world. I would use the creation of the performance art to tell the tales of what is going on in the world right now and how we can help.

Posted at 00:35h, 05 February1. How would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
Oh my, it would change absolutely everything. Freedom and opportunities out of my reach would be closer!
2. What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I would continue following my passion (writing, which I already do because I took the leap). I would love to create worlds where people can unwind and enjoy, I want to help them escape with the power of imagination. I desire more than anything to create books that matter, that people hold dear.

Posted at 00:38h, 05 FebruaryAnswer to question 1 My life would be different because I would be inspiring other female boomers to become rock star health passion role models so they can inspire other female boomers to do the same. – Massively fulfilling!
Answer to question 2: I would create a “start now” community for female baby boomers to live moments of health/passion while continuing to transform my 63 year old body mind through weight/resistance training, consuming life giving food, while pursuing rope, ring training and coaching.

Posted at 00:45h, 05 FebruaryIf I had the help of anyone I wanted, I would be working to come up with new and innovative ways of addressing broken areas of society. Whether that is delivering a message, or spearheading an organization I am not sure. Definitely including a project working on helping people unlock their true selves so they could lead more fulfilling and soul quenching lives. “Waking people up” to their own potential. A big interest currently is education of youth and the potential it holds to start them at an early age with proper life skills for leading beautiful lives.
As far as who I would surround myself with.. I would reach out to whoever was able to offer me personal development most beneficial to me and my cause. A lesson of late has been that the more I learn about myself, the more I know about how I can help others.
-Being surrounded by people who challenge me and inspire me to learn more and give more
-connections. Big, small, fast, slow- any connection to someone is potential for teamwork, friendship and inspiration.

Posted at 10:09h, 05 FebruaryHi Jeff! This is exactly my passion as well.. to help fix the things we don’t like in the world, social, environmental or what have you. I also want to and have started to work with schools and we focus on the core skills of collaboration, creativity and support to one another.
Check out my post and let’s see what we can spin together…
I am really starting to love this feed… so much potential.. Thank you Scott!! 🙂

Posted at 00:49h, 05 FebruaryIf I had access to support from anyone in the world, I could turn my life around and get me and my wife out of the hole we have been left in post the financial crisis. I want to make solid, enduring contacts to help fund and promote my friend’s not-for-profit, which helps support the homeless and indigent in Birmingham, Alabama. I would also like to set up a ongoing training program for young musicians that would help them learn to improvise and play their own music.

Posted at 00:50h, 05 FebruaryHere are the questions:
1.How would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
If I had the help of anyone I wanted, and that’s Scott Dinsmore, then I would be able to live a more focused and fulfilled life. I have always felt the need to connect, support, and mentor others so they can live more successful lives. This hopefully will trigger a chain reaction where they influence others, who will then be able to help themselves. It’s easy to dream about this, but when your faced with the daily challenges, it’s quite difficult to make dreams true. So, with Scott’s support and rally, I would be able to work on my dreams of helping others, so I’d get to live a more fulfilled and focused life.
2.What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I would want to work with mentors to establish a local network where people feel energized to pursue their passions and perform jobs they love without having to feel guilty or restricted. Sites like this are abundant in the US, but not commonplace in my country.

Posted at 00:58h, 05 FebruaryIf I had the help of anyone I wanted, I would seek out real-world examples of what happens when someone crafts their life with true intent. I believe that our creative pursuits shape us, and we can use that experience to also shape our own lives.
I would use those connections not only to learn from myself, but especially to share them on my blog for others to be inspired, to see what amazing things are possible when we craft with intent.

Posted at 01:01h, 05 FebruaryScott, I am in recovery from bipolar disorder and an eating disorder. I have been through so much so my dream is to share my story of hope and inspiration. I would write my best seller, speak (think TED talks) and create a community to help others heal and find true happiness within themselves. I know your course would motivate, encourage and give me the tools to ignite this major cause of mine so I can help others.

Posted at 01:01h, 05 FebruaryIf I had the help of anyone my life would certainly be different. I would first become a successful stock trader and use it as a venue to financial freedom so that I can persue my real passion. Once I´ve achieved that I am going to be the best transformational/motivational speaker in the world. I would use my life story to inspire people that they can as well achieve the life of their dreams, no matter what their past and circumstances are. I would eventually create an organization that can help create a better life for battered women and homeless children all over the world.
Marijke
Posted at 01:01h, 05 February1. I would be in a position where I would be realising my dreams and engaging in what I am truly passionate about and giving back to the world in my own unique way. I would have a leg up in my mission to support woman in developing countries to get their arts and crafts out to the world through a platform called paper bead princess championing sustainable development.
2. I would pursure my dream of a leadership and development company that focussed on developement of leadership at every level of the organisation, so that people understood from early on in their career who fundamentally were and how those strengths can shape their leadership style. This would be tied into the power of giving back with programs to help companies lead within the global community and gain learnings they can then take back into their personal business.

Posted at 01:02h, 05 FebruaryHi Scott,
If I had the help of anyone I wanted, I would engage those folks to help collectively create some seriously amazing organizations that would benefit many people across a range of diverse communities. These organizations would range from a non-profit that would create jobs in local communities, to a conscious living community. Additionally I would engage powerful female mentors to inspire and support me as I launch workshops, groups, and individual coaching work aimed toward empowering women to live more fully embodied lives. Thank you!
Kate
Posted at 01:02h, 05 FebruaryI would truly open myself to possibilities within me and in this world, and be brave enough to ask questions and hear the answers. I would soak in the inspiration around me with such gratitude and fuel my dreams. And then learn how to shape my dream of writing and speaking my truth, through my passion for health and wellness. I’d love to fully launch my website (which I started thanks to you, Scott!), and begin offering classes and workshops teaching people how cooking whole foods, mostly from scratch is a most generous act of self love!

Posted at 01:08h, 05 FebruaryI would be able to leverage my life condition of having two kids with massive food intolerance, to a passion I can earn money by (“Cooking without”). Having the help of anyone I wanted would allow me to quicker defining a minimum viable product as well as getting quicker and more instant feedback on how to market, in which way and to which targets groups. And it would provide a much needed kick in the butt (most days seem like pure survival, and it can be difficult to prioritise time for developing my business).

Posted at 01:09h, 05 FebruaryNot as much help as cooperation what I seek. Help goes only to one direction and I would prefer to add something to it too.
But, sure. With some experienced people wise advises, I could avoid the mistakes they made without themselves mentoring them on the way. 🙂
So I would pursue cooperation, something to do with hypnosis. I would run trainings worldwide, about hypnosis and by using hypnosis, I would teach self-hypnosis and would run group therapies.

If I had Ajay Kavan’s email at Amazon, I would write the following email:
Dear Ajay Kavan at Amazon,
I am reaching out to you because you are on the board of InKind Direct ( http://www.inkinddirect.org ) and you presently work at Amazon. Your unique position can make a huge difference to this planet by acting as a link between InKind Direct and Amazon.
What I propose for your consideration (should you think this makes sense) is the following:
Present to the board of InKind Direct the idea to expand InKind Direct’s current business model to a global scale by partnering with the technology at Amazon and inviting shipping companies that may have excess shipping capacity from time to time on global routes and inviting global corporations and businesses to donate their excess supply to best in class and well vetted charities addressing basic human needs in the farthest corners of the planet. By using technology similar to that of Amazon’s, or better yet, by inviting Amazon’s charity arm to team up with InKind Direct Global, you can create a seamless technology platform that facilitates smooth delivery of excess supply via excess shipping units to those most in need.
Those who donate their goods and excess shipping units would receive tax credits, avoid costs of holding inventory and economic sunk costs for shipping carriers left with empty space on routes. On the flip side, human beings would efficiently receive excess medications/sanitary goods and food ect. for basic human survival, excess school supplies, books and even building supplies for better access to education and infrastructure in the community etc. etc. etc. I think you know what I’m saying. With your voice, you can potentially be part of a global redistribution of excess capacity to areas of the planet with the most need.
I do hope you consider this idea and would be delighted and honored to personally work on the project should both organizations agree. It would be great to speak with you should you wish to further discuss this matter.
Thank you for reading this email. Arlette

Posted at 01:14h, 05 FebruaryI spent my entire high school career attempting to make my peers as interested in the vast array of sciences in the world as I am. I would be so proud when they asked questions, when they showed genuine interest in the topics I spoke about. I rallied the school board on many occasions, and my friends and I helped bring real change to my school district. If I had the power to, I would leave a trail of knowledge and understanding, I’d pry open closed minds, and I would do it wherever I went.
If I had the wealth, power, and connections, I would pour my soul into science and education reform. It break’s my heart to know of very intelligent children and adults who will never have the resources to receive access to the droves of knowledge we modern people have at our disposal. As someone recently graduated from the American public education system, I know that I have had more chances than many will ever have to expand my knowledge and understanding of the world, but even here in this developed world, education is lacking; valuable minds are slipping through the cracks, and with them the idea’s they could provide to future generations of science, technology, and culture.
From ignorance stems hate. I believe that a world who is immersed in a different sort of understanding could change, and over time, this intense hatred between the people of our world would subside. Education needs reform, everywhere. The worlds understanding needs reform. This is something I will work toward whether I become rich and powerful or not. I can say with complete conviction that I would only be able to die happy if I had made the life of future generations better, if only by a small margin.

Posted at 01:26h, 05 FebruaryI would start a school, K-12, that challenges the current inner city educational system, by using practical real-life-experience combined with non-traditional studies and learning methods. This school would be the blue print for a neo-educational system that proves the current US methods and standards are out dated and ineffective in producing the young leaders of today and tomorrow.

Posted at 01:27h, 05 FebruaryMy vision to help people find authentic success through their own brilliance would become less side hustle and more full blown living the dream. Having the help of anyone I wanted would help bring clarity and momentum to my work and help alleviate some of the self doubt that can often mean three steps forward and two steps back!
Just reading this post has helped me set my intention of action for the day – Thank you for that Scott!

Posted at 01:28h, 05 FebruaryHi Scott,
Thanks so much for taking the time to ask us about our dreams. Here’s mine, in four simple sentences:
1. To regain the momentum that I dropped (oops!) when I submitted this audition to Oprah’s “Your OWN Show Contest,” but didn’t win: http://bit.ly/1bpWJxx
2. To create an amazing career as a writer, energy worker and public speaker, sharing incredible stories from my life, like these: http://bit.ly/1ftACZo
3. To build a client list that looks like this: http://bit.ly/1kQX4z3
4. To move forward with my dreams, even when the process of owning them feels vulnerable and scary, like the time I posted this: http://on.fb.me/1c2yQfp
Thanks again, Scott! I appreciate the opportunity to be included in this scholarship and would love to win.
Your pal,
Erin

Posted at 01:30h, 05 February1. How would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
I would have shortened the time it took for me to get where I am, I would have more confidence and love in my life.
2. What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
To be a Great Actor, to write amazing film scripts that would be brought to life, to live fully in the moment and show others how to do the same. FOLLOW YOUR BLISS.

Posted at 01:40h, 05 FebruaryCreate sanctuaries, for both animals and human.
Physical places, with a virtual online ‘gateway’ to allow global communications of the project.
The physical places would be in the mountains, the deserts, or near the sea – always close to peaceful locations. Custom designed, using environmental guides, all buildings would have minimal ‘footstep’, along with the best possible communications. Designed to seamless integrate with their landscape, some would be built into the earth, others crafted into the rock, or moulded like the undulating desert dunes.
Offering solace, nurturing the spirit, and providing safe shelter would be the basic tenets, along with nurturing the spirit, and encouraging and guiding self-belief. This would hold for both animals and human.
Invitation to the sanctuaries would be open to all animals, rescuing them from cruelty and despair. Humans could apply to stay at the sanctuaries, with acceptance based on their stated beliefs, needs and purpose; there would be a short (one month) appraisal time.
Choice would not be dependent on money, race or creed.
Growth will be organic, expanding or contracting with the need for a still, calm, safe place to be – a sanctuary.

Posted at 01:48h, 05 FebruaryFive years ago I survived life-saving surgery, then three surgeries after that. I lost sixty-five kilograms, overcame more than half a dozen medical conditions, and I got a new, wonderful chance at life. But I don’t think I’ve made the best of this new life, and so I want – need – to write a book that will help other people to prepare for, undergo, survive and thrive after their surgery. I quit my job for a year to study writing and editing, got a new job that’s not fulfilling me, and I’ve been doing writing courses: I just need a hand up to help get me onto this new path as a writer and an editor, so that I can help people who are approaching surgery like I did.

Posted at 01:57h, 05 FebruaryI’d actually need a small team. Even though access to any ONE person would be great, it would take the effort of several individuals to make anything happen in a reasonable timeframe. I’d focus on a few energy technology solutions that I have ideas for and see if we couldn’t also tackle something like water desalination, etc. It seems that water shortages might be even more of a problem in the future than they are now. I’ve also seen a lot of technologies that are great by themselves, but that could be even better when combined.

Posted at 02:06h, 05 FebruaryI’ve been thinking about this for several years now – I would engage the help of the world’s greatest spiritual teachers, healers, psychologists, scientific researchers, and meditation experts to take on nothing less than the question of the meaning of our existence itself. I would create a rigorous experiment that would involve many groups of people working with their minds in various meditation and psychological techniques until they had a truly life changing enlightenment moment. We would take all this data and develop the fastest path to an enlightened mindset possible for modern day humans. It can take the average person years or even decades of rigorous spiritual and psychological work to truly have their deepest personal questions answered and to find inner peace, but it took Gautama Buddha only 49 days – how would the world change if we could create a scientifically proven method that took only 30-40 days to experience an enlightened mindset?

Posted at 02:09h, 05 FebruaryI would create convergences using the heightened awareness around crises (like the current California Drought) as a chance to move the needle against one of humanity’s biggest challenges (in this case the Water Crisis). I would bring together top entrepreneurs, technologists, academics, media professionals, hardware hackers and artists – to explore game-changing opportunities, and develop & launch prototypes to address the challenge at its root. My life would be different because I would have full confidence that I was serving in a way that completely aligns with all I believe in and have to offer.

Posted at 02:17h, 05 FebruaryThe very first thing I would do is for others, and not myself. (Though that’s still for yourself in some sense.)
Assuming I have learnt to connect with people through building strong genuine authentic relationships, I would reach out to several successful people requesting they make a short video of a few seconds saying this. “Jeremy reached out to an influencer and so can you.”
We all are used to thinking we can never get help from these big people, they’re too busy, or even that they wouldn’t help a nobody. My message is to let the world know that you can do it and in fact, you must because no matter how good our projects and intentions are, sometimes it can be really hard to breakthrough without getting noticed and getting help from major influencers. All these people were once a nobody as well, and struggled to be where they are today, so very often they are actually more than willing to help because they were once in your position and they understand what it feels like. They are just humans like us, not a God.
So what I’ll do is compile all these short videos from each influencer into a single video, with me and my message as well. I’ll upload in on YouTube, embed in onto my blog and request that they help me promote the post to spread the message and my cause.
Alisa
Posted at 09:46h, 06 FebruaryI like your interview concept. As you say, “They are just humans like us.” If you don’t actually step out on a limb and ask someone to participate, the answer is already “no”.

Posted at 02:24h, 05 FebruaryI would learn (and then teach) how to apply non-violent communication to people of different cultures living together, so that we can all live together peacefully – Muslims, atheists, Christians, Jews, whatever.
I’d do this initially by blogging about it, then probably organizing events such as conferences & workshops.

Posted at 02:41h, 05 FebruaryFirst of all, if I will name anyone in the world, it would be the Man, Warren Buffet. I would ask to be taken under his wing and tutored with his wisdom in finance & life. When he says sure, I would up & quit my job (soul-sucking though it may be, it has toughened me in many ways, and I am still thankful for the experience) and shore up my resources & focus on the one in a lifetime, God-given opportunity. Then after basking in Mr. Buffet’s brilliance (the scenario would ideally end up with him saying something like this, “go forth into the world & LIVE my pupil, you have learned all that I have to teach”). I would open my own art & design business, with my wife, open up an art school to teach children & travel the world with my family & LIVE a fulfilled & happy LIFE!

Posted at 02:43h, 05 FebruaryI would bring Mr. Hutchison to my city’s university and start expanding on the knowledge that free electricity is possible for everyone. We would demonstrate that a single device can power 40KW for free. This would allow every home to have free electricity. For factories it will require a different approach, but if we could start with homes already, that would create a huge spark in creativity, development and progress.

Posted at 10:00h, 06 FebruaryThis is an intriguing idea. I’d never heard of this possibility so I googled “Mr. Hutchison energy”. I’ve seen all over pinterest how you can create your own solar panels with pop cans and other materials. I really like the idea of being able to generate electricity for our own use.

Posted at 02:51h, 05 FebruaryScott,
If I was in the fortunate position of being truly able to connect with anyone, I would endeavour to deliver on my personal passion of Inspiring people to take the action required so that they can be the best that they already are!
I would create several courses, based on mindfulness, and intended to help people with attention, self-awareness/self mastery and creating good mental habits. This will enable them to live live to the maximum and make their contribution to the world, and mine! I would also take my story and message to the world, through seminars, workshops, coaching and speaking engagements – in an effort to communicate with as many people as possible.
(I used a hyphen to try and keep it down to 4 sentences? I doubt that it fooled you though 🙂

Cancer is now the world’s biggest killer. I have been passionate for a long time about cancer prevention. I want to do everything I can to help people prevent having to go through a cancer diagnosis in the first place, this would also have the added benefit of saving many millions/billions of dollars in cancer treatments.

4. i would continue seeking the light of learning how humility… in all its glory… is the ultimate prize of our lives… and the sweetest lesson of all quests… noble or not.

Posted at 03:01h, 05 FebruaryI have big ideas of creating a financial education blog, business and not for profit venture. I have the ideas (notepads full of them actually!!) and the inner voice telling me that i am meant to do great things in the world, but i struggle with how to transform the big ideas into a reality. The ability to create a ‘support crew’ to champion my ideas, to provide guidance and just show me it can be done, without a doubt, would help me make things happen. I’m surrounded by wonderful, successful people, but none have broken the mould, stepped out of their comfort zone and tried something revolutionary!

Posted at 03:02h, 05 FebruaryLife would be serene because I would only work on my passion and have the bravery to quit the soul sucking, snobbish, saddening, stress filled, sickening and sedentary job. Giving my unborn baby and me stress free satisfaction, giving something back. I would run a scheme that motivates kids to understand that, no matter what their background is, someone’s opinion of them does not have to be their reality. Everyone can achieve greatness, someone taught me that and now I’d like to teach the masses.

Posted at 03:02h, 05 FebruaryI would have Candy Chang as my mentor. I would deliver community based art projects. Art has the power to transform individual lives and communities, it can change attitudes and explode preconceptions: it is more than pretty pictures. It is about exploring and realising our individual and collective potential. From weekly workshops, to one off projects and artist in residence places, the projects would make a tangible difference to many lives and that is how I want to use my time and talent.

Posted at 03:18h, 05 February1. Transition out of all other extraneous commitments and set up a nurturing yet highly challenging creative environment for developing world class visionary music into a form which has not only cutting instant zen-like depth but also total currency and exciting relevance as artform today, and today, and… well you get the idea… todayyyyyy however long that day may turn out to be…….. : )
2. I’d begin a real and ongoing full experimentation with all ‘galactic arms’ of a world class TODAY music career, get them all rotating as one express power expression free of lag, everything from:
Tearing up old school and ultra modern production possibilities and recombining into some bizzare new form of excellence.
Bending the borders of compositional approach, both strict and free form, into an organic highly potent blend.
Playing live and present enjoying the spontaneous melding of genius with differing styles and combos of musicians.
To: cross pollination magic mixes of worlds with other creative disciplines.
Exploration and application of best business models and strategies to nurture the spirit and life of our real situation rather than propping up our fictional legacy (whole other subject).
Revision of cultural meme/goals and spiritual purpose until the right combo clicks and progresses with ease for all involved.

Posted at 03:28h, 05 February1. It will change like Neo’s life in Matrix when he’s pulled out of the egg. I would turn impossible to possible; I would release serotonin enough to make that happen, but more importantly, this would also release serotonin on that people helping me and even those others around us.
2. There are people that never would go through this process of self consciousness, and personal development to achieve a meaningful, authentic and purposely life aligned with their deep sense. There are others like us that have the courage to DO IT. It is hard work, it hurts at the beginning, but, dammed, isn’t’ life all about it? I’m 42, I keep asking me this question: How different would have been my life if I was brought and opened to this process of self-awareness when I was an adolescent and young adult trying to figure out who I am and what to do with my life?. And I keep answering myself: It would have been awesome!. But what if it had went even further, and this wisdom would have been brought to me since my childhood,… WOW I can’t find words yet to express what I feel. What I will do is to push down the ladder to the earlier ages this social movement and change we seem to be all onto, to creating a better world. Isn’t that the best I could do?

Posted at 03:51h, 05 FebruaryI would resign from my job that and pursue a life of being surrounded by food, educating people on why it matters and why its not just something we consume to stay alive. Why its important to actually enjoy the food, and why cooking knowledge is a vital part of our lives and culture. To teach people that food security and sustainability is paramount, especially considering the growing population.

Posted at 03:56h, 05 FebruaryTime and time again I have started something and time after time I have never finished it, books, online course, business plans, blogs and affiliate marketing sites, you name it and I’ve started including the how to connect with anyone course. So firstly I’d like to see something out to the end.
I also have a passion for property and property investing, I see it as a way average people like me can create wealth for the future. The problem is that there are so many self proclaimed gurus out there charging people thousands if not tens of thousands to teach people their proven method of getting rich.
I want to help educate as many people as possible on how they can invest and create something for their future that doesn’t cost the earth, but more importantly create a community of like minded people who will freely help others along the way.

Posted at 04:00h, 05 FebruaryI’d have the help of David Kelly at IDEO, I’d work there for at least a year, as part of a team solving really big gnarly global problems by collaborating with a diverse team and using the IDEO model.
Issues I’d like to tackle are making fashion sustainable, for example, getting designers to take back what they make so there is no waste.
Get houses built, renovated and extended so that they use solar passive design and minimise heating and cooling costs.
Use one per cent of superannuation funds to fund the next scientific breakthroughs attracting the biggest and inspired to do what matters to them.
That will keep us busy for a while and very inspired, imagine the people I’d meet, wow.

Posted at 04:00h, 05 FebruaryI am not going to say ” I would” because I am already in the process of doing it. The world is already – though in quite a subtle way – in my corner. In one sentence, my dream is healing myself (using energy work), becoming whole, feeling complete. What I am trying to heal: a lifetime of depression and anxiety , OCD, psoriasis, poor eyesight and a few minor other things that can all be contained under the label of “mild Asperger’s syndrome” that is severe enough to prohibit me from earning an income- for now.
I want to prove that everything and everybody has a chance at true healing (from within) no matter what doctors say, and I want to inspire people to never give up no matter how crazy or impossible their dream seems.

Besides, that is a great service as we are working on the pillars for the future generations, and acting as catalyst to accelerate the process by empowering the roots. Kids are key, teens are key. We have the oportunity to excel ourselves by empowering them. Schools should be doing this rather than what they do today. Let’s make it happen together.

Posted at 04:47h, 05 FebruaryI have always known that I was meant to make a big impact on this world — God didn’t give me this overactive brain and a deeply painful set of life experiences for nothing.
I recently got clear that I want to manage a retreat center for healing, wellness, and spirituality, where I would host transformational retreats and help introduce people to conscious ways of living. I feel particularly passionate about helping survivors of trauma and devastation — long-term illness, loss of loved ones, abuse, divorce, war, etc. — by providing an immersive experience that encompasses a variety of healing arts and brings in cutting-edge experts in psychology and spirituality. When my center is up and running, Scott, I can’t wait to have you come visit and lead a workshop on Living Your Legend.

1. My life would be different in that I wouldn’t have to pursue my goals alone. With the help of others I’d get accountability and inspiration as well as mentoring from the people who are already doing what I want to do.
2. I would take complicated research hidden in academic journals and databases, turn it into understandable and actionable steps, and make it available to anyone who wants to learn how to realize their greatest potential. I’d create a community for people who wants to live their life to the fullest by learning how to be happier and healthier than ever.

I would have a blog with help, support, and information about living life to the fullest for those who have survived cancer that would be a companion website, called Glad to be Living.

If I could connect with anyone in the world and break down the language barriers I could bring the world together and we can learn from each other’s stories and cultures. I would create an online language school that revolutionises the way languages are taught in our school systems, bringing the native speaker to the student with a brand focused on love of travel, adventure and stories. I would build this through an online community of fellow language lovers who would share stories and teaching practices.

Posted at 05:22h, 05 FebruaryWith the world in my corner, I think I’d have the courage to build the right plan for our dream, and more importantly–pursue it! It’s always great to dream and think “what if” but if you had the mentor, the advice, and the moral support….magic!
Our dream is pretty simple–we’d change lives with jiu jitsu. The bully proofing curriculum that jiu jitsu brings is needed for our young people so much in today’s world and it can be so inaccessible. We’d start building jiu jitsu communities in areas that need them–rural and urban and reach kids in time to make a difference.

Posted at 05:25h, 05 FebruaryWith unlimited connections and partnerships, I would be able to more quickly and massively execute my endeavor: to create a social network website/app just for junior high/high school students where they can share the all the great things that they do after school.
Whether it’s athletic, scholastic, technical, artistic, entrepreneurial or just AWESOME , sharing it here would connect them with others their age who are doing the same things, and allow them to easily showcase what they do to colleges/employers/field leaders in a “real-life” way that no written application/resume can.
I would interview inspiring and/or famous teenagers who are making their dreams a reality NOW, and work with the best damn web, app and graphics designers so that this platform is HOT, simple and gets exposure to a MASSIVE community of inspired and inspiring teens!

Posted at 05:49h, 05 February1. How would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
= Rapid learning – Being able to call/email experts…can save you months of heartache.
2. What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
= I would reach out to those entrepreneurs whose work I find interesting and offer to take them to lunch. Once there I would ask he/she questions and take notes:
– Ask them how they did it
– Ask them what mistakes they made along the way
– Then I’d ask them about my idea. Is it crazy? And find out what I should be thinking about

Posted at 05:53h, 05 FebruaryI would absolutely LOVE to have the help of Bob Proctor. He’s a man who’s not only witnessed the amazing results of the Law of Attraction in his own life, he’s studied it for almost 50 years! sHe definitely understands how to live the life of your dreams!
Like you always say, when you change your environment, everything changes. It’s so true. I want to soar with the eagles so I can achieve great things – Bob Proctor is definitely one of the eagles.
1. How would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
If I had the help of Bob Proctor, my life would skyrocket dramatically. My “big” dreams wouldn’t seem so big. In fact, he would probably encourage me to aim higher and think bigger. He would most probably introduce me to incredible people. People who shift my paradigms and thus, my life.
2. What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I’ve always wanted to help a lot of people. As a Muslim, I know many people embrace Islam but unfortunately don’t have the support they desperately need in this major transition in their life. My dream is to help support Muslim converts as they go through this new chapter. Sometimes they’re even disowned by family and friends. Which is why they need the support from their Muslim community so much more.
I’ve started a blog dedicated to helping support them and providing a space where they feel like they belong (www.MuslimJoy.com) but that’s just the first step.
I see myself creating the number one website for Muslim converts – my readers will feel positive, full of faith, and inspired to live the best life they can! They’ll feel connected and part of a larger community of other people just like them.
Maybe all this connecting and inspiration will transfer into ‘real-time’ connections as well… into meetups around the world, like LYL Local?! 😉
This is going to be big. I can feel it. 🙂

Posted at 06:07h, 05 February1. I would be more open to discussing new and challenging ideas with anyone, exchange critic and inspiration and develop ideas more effectively.
2. I would build a mobile Geo-Dome-Home, tour countries, live free, meet people, running a wandering cinema in it, showing documentaries about hidden danger of todays life and general education like following ones feeling or how to communicate empathically. Using a blog, people could invite me to anywhere they want.

Posted at 06:07h, 05 February1. My life would be different because I would have the tools to convince the people that run the hospital (I work as a nurse) to agreeing to a pilot test of Acupuncture in the ER (which would amaze them as it has done in other Australian States), and the tools to convince the management & kitchen in the hospital to give people healthy food while they are here. People leave more malnourished than they arrive!
2. I would pursue: health provided by hospitals (we should be a shining example of health) and healthy health care workers, I would create Queenslands first ER acupuncture pilot, a better nutrition plan for the patients of our hospital (more vegetarian meals, and whole foods, less processed s**t), and a health for health workers campaign, and I would be able to create better connections for publishing when I finish my book (on how we can save the earth through our individual actions). Sorry for the length of this (I just love these ideas and they are going to happen).

Posted at 06:19h, 05 FebruaryI have the support of anyone in the world ….
… My heart is light and free, I feel emotionally stable, I have a clear mind and the ability to be present in the moment, I have a healthy level of self-esteem and confindence and my own mind does not stand in its own way, to allow my potential to be developed, seen and heard. I see life as a beatiful gift, my mind is able to focus, my brain remembers information that I want to aquire as knowledge and I use my skills to show others that a life, such as this, can be a reality …
Thanks you!

Posted at 06:26h, 05 FebruaryMy life will be different because I will have the tools, the guidance, and the time to invest in myself, and find out what makes me tick. I will find my own personal legend, and than I will cultivate what I truly want to get out of MY life. I will start my distinctive, and personal journey/purpose. By doing so I will automatically enhance everyone’s life around me as life is infectious, and that is true fulfillment. Having a real effect on another person’s life is the ultimate goal, and I believe the best way to do it is through example. Walk the walk before you talk the talk.

Posted at 06:27h, 05 FebruaryMy life would be different because I would have someone in my corner rooting me on every step of the way- telling me to actually DO and not just dream.
I would quit my job, sell the house, pack up my family and live a much simpler life, traveling to other places, taking small jobs to get by and living completely within our means. The main point of all this would be to help others in our travels…whatever their need/need of the region.

I would have photo shootings every few months (because that’s just so much fun for me) and create a gorgeous website. And if I were around all those fabulous people, who knows what else I would do! Posted at 06:49h, 05 FebruaryWith the inspiration of this website and the support of some great people in my community I left the job that was holding me back. I’m now in my first week of freedom, pursuing my dream of becoming a healer through CranioSacral therapy and yoga. It is incredible and I’m still in shock!!
With the support of anyone in the world I would continue my healing work refining my skills and techniques through trainings and experience, and bring healing to many more people one on one. I would also pursue my big dream of connecting with policy makers, world leaders and international funders to make mainstream the many effective and vital “alternative” healing treatments that exist, to work along side western medicine. Allowing EVERYONE, including the most vulnerable quality and transformative healing work and normalizing mind, body, spirit practices in modern medicine.

Posted at 06:51h, 05 FebruaryIn December, a miracle happened when my play, “The Feast of Jovi Bono” went up in New York City. It was beautiful, the theatre said we could come back any time; the only thing missing was a producer to bring it to an even bigger audience with pay. I’m going back to New York in October with a new play if crowdfunding works, and I need to build buzz and audience with Queen Latifah, not only by appearing as a guest on her show, but possibly by engaging her love of theater and exploring new ideas as a creative partner.

4- Combining these two, would increase of “quality of life” level.

Posted at 06:59h, 05 FebruaryI want create an alternative to the public school system (think community center; homeschooling atmosphere with certified teachers and community members on hand to help). It will provide every child an equal opportunity to explore and embrace who they already are in an organic way (As Brené Brown puts it “wholehearted” education, as Pamela Slim puts it “full-color, full-body” and as Danielle Laporte explains everyone following their “Core Desire Feelings”). Students would be the one creating the learning activities, giving the teachers time to be a better guide to each and every student (less lesson plans to develop, more engaged with the kids interests, more creativity, etc).

Posted at 07:12h, 05 FebruaryHow would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
Limitless! The power of great minds, strong hearts, and passionate beliefs coming together to collaborate – just the idea of it gives me chills.
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I would pursue self-growth and knowledge, break down the fear-based belief system that keeps me from being my truest self, and share all my creative ideas and talents with a community of people looking to make positive changes in the world.

Posted at 07:24h, 05 FebruaryWith the help of anyone, there would be a constant stream of motivation and encouragement to pursue the dreams that we’re afraid to whisper to ourselves because they are so big. The courage provided knowing that anyone will help me along my journey would give me the motivation to travel the world, provide encouragement to those who need it, and spread beauty to people who haven’t seen it.
I’d pursue a life abroad. A life filled with new people, new cultures, and new understanding that we are all connected. Traveling across the world, I’d want to volunteer in different environments, teach children to believe in themselves, and spread cultural awareness. Basically, to see beauty and spread beauty. That’s what I’d do.

I would use their insight on what traits, breaks, ideologies, and way of thinking could be applied to my goals, needs, wants, and desires. By following in their examples and molding them to fit into my lifestyle and future, I feel the sky would be the limit. Having positive people behind you that are truly successful would ignite a fire in me that could not be quenched,
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I would take my fledgling indie game studio into a confident and shining future for both me, my family, and give back to those that supported me and society as a whole. I do not care about personal fame or great riches. I just want to have a life that I love living, and enjoy the work I do with it, and share my joy with those around me.

2. I would be doing my writing, photojournalism and multimedia and making a living from my local and international projects. I would also do a project demonstrating to people that they can move beyond their current situation and learn there is more to gain than to lose by uprooting themselves and following their heart when they travel. I would lead small groups on off the beaten path journeys.

Posted at 07:40h, 05 FebruaryMy life would be different because I have a hard time talking to people and I know that if I was better at communicating what I need and want to anyone, I could really put myself out there and accomplsih my goals. I have more than just one thing to do and it is mainly thanks to the great envouragement of my parents. I want to change the world one step at the time. I want to encourage healthy eating, start a farm and become an educator in environmentally benefical products and ways to live, become an actor and educate kids (not just girls) on body image and self-respect because when I was growing up it taught me that I couldn’t love myself because I was different and most importantly, I would teach everyone not just with my happiness but with their own that love doesn’t need to be taught and that is what I would do if I won the contest.

My dream is to open my own gym where I can create a positive environment where people of all abilities can feel comfortable on their fitness journey and I will be there to help guide their way. Original insight into the questions we each face unlocks the pure potential which lays quietly dormant within each of us.
Life is not about what we can get: it is about what we can learn, and what we can give.
My dream is to live in a world of inspired, creative, empowered leaders, and I know there are people out there who would eagerly band together to turn this dream into a reality: are you one of those people?

My dream is to live abroad, preferably in Denmark, be able to spend time, not just be around, but spend quality time with my kids and loved ones, to be able to enjoy the time and not feel pressure from work or other influences is my dream.

Posted at 08:06h, 05 FebruaryI would be travelling around the world helping people, organisations and networks to share ideas and resources in a whole new way that would spark of zillions of new innovations and at the same time be a lot of fun.
I would be able to complete and evolve the new web tool for social collaboration that I have invested the last few years and all my money to develop. I would be able to build the app that should go with it and finally get to open the doors for a global launch with the right know how and backup to handle any and all expansion.
I would collaborate with the most creative and inspiring people on the planet and work with the most amazing communities, already doing great work out there, like Live your legend..:o) and help them be even more successful by complementing what they are already passionately doing with dynamic tools and practices for social collaboration and open innovation.
I would find myself taking part in one of the biggest evolutionary shifts the human race have seen and contribute to a world where we all can truly live, doing work we love and share our creative genius and reach our full potential as a human race to create paradise right here on earth, which I think is our true purpose!

Posted at 08:09h, 05 FebruaryLiving in a third world country, If I had the help of anyone I wanted, I would pursue my passion, which is to see others (and myself) do what comes naturally to them, which includes the development of material and programs to be used in schools (at all levels) to get children, teenagers and young adults on a path from as early as possible to discover who they REALLY are, CELEBRATE those things and then have them learn how to “live off THEIR passion”.

Please feel free to contact me (stegs23@gmail.com), as I would be more than willing to help you achieve that goal. Fitness, health, and nutrition just happens to be my passion. There is a ton of misinformation out there which can make things confusing. I’ve been on both ends too. I’ve been a pinnacle of fitness, and I’ve had to lose 50# as well. I know how hard it can seem, but it’s easier when you have the correct tools.

Posted at 08:55h, 05 FebruaryMy mom is dying of MS and autoimmune disease. Over the past 3-4 months I’ve had some time off, and spent it researching everything I could on autoimmune disease and other non-identifiable in the body diseases (you can’t see them on an x-ray, catscan, or MRI) and their causes (MS, Parkinson’s, Alzheimers). What I was able to learn about these diseases is astonishing. I will start an organization dedicate to educating the world about the truth behind nutrition and clean eating as well as researching cures to identifiable diseases (every organization now that performs research, is researching better medicine because the money is in the medicine, I want to find the cure…they haven’t cured anything since Polio 1962).
Jonathan
Posted at 09:56h, 05 FebruaryThat is so true! I am so thankful to the early pioneers such as Royal Rife, Wilhelm Reich, and Hulda R Clark. I too discovered that research these days is all about commercialization, profits, and treatment of symptoms rather than the real cause (e.g. any Pharmaceutical firm – which had its origin from the petrochemical industry). Further, how is it possible that we have had fundraisers for cancer research for at least the last 30 years; when there was an epidemic, cures in the past were much quicker (like polio vaccine within 18 months).
On a personal note regarding your mom, please check out Hulda Clark’s book: The Cure for All Diseases. You could get the free pdf version online. Just google it; I hope you find this helpful and that you can reverse your mom’s condition.

Posted at 09:00h, 05 FebruaryI would publish by book about fitness, which is a new way of looking at the body, and its purpose. It says that our bodies were designed to live in the natural environment, so our fitness regime would suit that. For example, climbing, throwing, pushing, acrobatics. It is a new branch of fitness that I have yet to reveal to the world.
And I would also publish a book on education which can teach anyone, anything, faster than any method out there. It is based on the principles of the fitness philosophy.

What I would do is start a clothing line with proceeds going to a concept I have had for years. This is a fulfill your dreams academy ( the concept is actually a little like this). I truly believe art is a part of us in so many different ways.

Posted at 09:11h, 05 FebruaryIf I had the help of anyone I wanted, I would start businesses that create jobs for people in my country that they can do online (which would reduce traffic and allow them to live further from cities if they like). I would create a MOOC version of the primary and secondary school curriculum so that parents could have support in homeschooling if the schools closest to them don’t meet their needs. I would use natural building techniques like cob, adobe and earthbag to create an eco-friendly shopping center so that as many people as possible can get exposure to them. For my own happiness, I’d learn a martial art, finish those novels I’ve started and travel the world.

Posted at 09:13h, 05 FebruaryHaving the help of anyone I wanted would mean I had a “dream team” of mentors in a Mastermind Group helping me define and implement a plan of action focused on achieving my goals and aspirations.
Having THAT kind of support would make my goal of building a thriving coaching practice that helps others live their lives to the fullest potential infinitely more attainable, easy, fun and enjoyable.
And the bigger, better and quicker I can build my practice, the more people I can serve, help and empower.

Posted at 09:19h, 05 FebruaryI will start an organic farm where I can grow produce for a restaurant and coffee shop in a bed-and-breakfast and training camp close to the beach and the mountains. The coffee shop shall have books and comfortable seating (for I so love to read!) and a gallery featuring my friends’ artwork (photographs, woodwork, paintings), and weekend performances for my musician friends. A third of my proceeds will go towards running the business; a third goes for scholarships for young adults who would like to learn water sports, the arts (music, poetry, painting, photography, culinary), growing a farm, running a business, or just helping them build self-esteem and confidence; and finally, a third goes to my favorite charity.

Q # 2: I would pursue my passion to teach people how to repurpose items that would normally go to the landfills without thought of future generations. I love painting and creating but have never thought of it as a way to sustain my livelihood until I joined the LYL blog- now it’s all I want!

Posted at 09:41h, 05 FebruaryMuch of my work experience has been extremely beneficial and eye-opening; but it has also shown me many things that have caused ill to our community, such as processed foods, artificial beverages, and poor consumer products, which eventually affects people’s quality of life. If I had the help of anyone I wanted, I would first start with manufacturing a beautiful, healthy, and low-cost coffee pot in the US. A successful product must be extremely cheap, beautifully made, and healthy to use. The help from this network of folks will inspire confidence in me to attack other issues including: clean water systems (fluoride-free), local sustainable energy systems, and community-based diverse food systems.

With the right guidance my first port of call is to break into corporate and deliver a paid training, speak at a conference, and create marketing materials. The right mentor will hold me accountable, brainstorm, kick my butt as needed, and give me insider trader knowledge.

I would organize mastermind retreats and summits featuring experts in many fields (fitness & nutrition, business, lifestyle, meditation, leadership, relationship..to name a few) with the purpose of serving people that are inspired to serve. My life would be different if I had the confidence to approach potential corporate sponsors to help fund the dream which I will start in June, whether or not I get sponsors. I want my boys to be able to say for the rest of their lives, “When I was a teenager, my mom and I did this crazy thing…” and I want our story to help inspire others to pursue their dreams, too. The How to Connect with Anyone course would definitely help this introvert not just approach sponsors, but have them connecting to the dream on a personal level and begging to be part of the opportunity.

Posted at 10:39h, 05 FebruaryI would ask for the help of Vincent Van Gogh who found himself at loose ends one day and just decided to be a painter. He then went on to teach himself and learn through school and colleagues how to paint, first by studying one color at a time and then by combining them and painting what he saw, how he saw it; not necessarily how anyone else sees it. I would ask him to teach me how to have that personal vision and the confidence to believe in myself so thoroughly that I knew I was doing the right thing for me for my contribution to the world. I would then paint my beloved mountains so that everyone who views the paintings would come to realize how precious this beautiful Earth is that supports us and how important it is to treat her kindly and with wisdom so we Humans would change our ways and our beliefs and return to caring for our Earth instead of destroying her.

Posted at 10:43h, 05 FebruaryHave the time, space and money to continue with what I have started… follow my passions for art/painting and use it to raise funds for projects that help people and animals.
I love working as an art and health artist with different organizations that support vulnerable people (from memory loss, mental health problems, social isolation etc). All are struggling to find funding in the current climate. I love making connections with people and watching them grow in confidence from just messing around with ‘art’. I’m now starting a second group of my own and want to grow this one, then start another one… and inspire a few more artists to start their own groups!
Work with more charities such as Elephants for Africa and help them raise funds from my own and other artists work. We need ‘wildlife’ and eco systems as much as they need us.

I would – one delicious, boozy cupcake at a time – finish paying off my student and car loans, freeing me entirely from debt for the first time in just too freakin’ many years (Ooo-Gah!) I would set myself up for sustainable long-term financial freedom and personal fabulousness by building (on a cash basis) an awe-inspiring tiny house on wheels in which I would live, laugh, love, read, dream, create, and travel. And all along this professional and personal journey, I would “bake the world a better place” by partnering with a variety of nonprofits (probably the small, struggling ones like I’ve worked for my entire career) to help them raise funds and awareness through… wait for it… super-tasty, cocktail-inspired cupcake goodness! 🙂

Posted at 10:43h, 06 FebruaryOkay, so reading Chad Kirchner’s post about a music community reminded me that I left music out of the picture, which is impossible because it’s to my soul what oxygen is to my lungs. It surrounds me daily, either rolling out of one set of speakers or another or tripping through my head. So that’s definitely a part of the plan: to incorporate music more intentionally into the daily biz of life. Not sure what that would look like. Might train again as a vocalist, might get involved with local music festivals, might… I don’t know. I just know the scenario isn’t complete without this piece. Thanks to Chad for the reminder and inspiration!

I want them to be my mentors in life. Having them both as my life coaches would be a billion dollar deal! Probably I would already have the financial freedom I desire and great humility to embrace how amazing life unfolds.
I would travel the world with my family, open an Art Gallery beside my restaurant and our design studio. Live my passion and be part of a charity organization. Life indeed would be a happily ever after for me. Now, time to publish the Story of My Life…thanks to my inspiring mentors! 🙂

Posted at 10:51h, 06 FebruaryDefinitely Warren Buffet – great choice, Molly. I’ve always said that if I ever won one of those ridiculously large lotto jackpots that the first thing I’d work on would be wrangling a meeting with Buffet, so I could get a handle on how to put that pot of cash to work, as opposed to being worked over by it. Specifically, I’d create small, employee-owned companies that pay good wages, provide a strong package of benefits, give their employees a sense of ownership and possibility, provide a valuable product/service to their communities, and energize local economies. Yeah, that is pie in the sky, but isn’t that kind of dreaming fun?

My intention would be for people to realize their: higher self, connection to the earth and their place in the universe.
2. I would build a global community based on the principles of: movement, nutrition, mindset and rejuvenation. I would do this by creating an in-depth transformation program to expand on what I outlined in my book Elements 4 Optimal Health (2/21/14 release). I would press to impact lives in a positive way and help people create the internal revolution necessary to grow, give, and live as a divine being having a human experience.

Posted at 11:03h, 05 February1. If I had the help of anyone in the world, I don’t know how my life would be different. I’m not one of these people who have this great idea of what would be earthshatteringly cool and just need a nudge or a break to make it happen. I’m unhappy with my current situation, but have no idea how to improve it. I don’t have that passion burning just under my skin. I’m more of an empty shell of duty and responsibilities. So unless that person I had the help of could magically help me figure out myself, I’d just end up with a cool story where I met so-and-so…

Posted at 11:10h, 05 FebruaryHelp and support from others is something that I’ve never had the benefit of knowing. I have struggled to accomplish so many things in my life, and I have accomplished a lot, even though the road was longer and more difficult without support from some of those that I’ve wanted and needed it from the most. If I had help and support from anyone (someone) — I think that just knowing that one person believed in me would help me to achieve my dreams. I have so many ideas that I want to implement (businesses to start, apps to design, books that I want to write, places I want to travel) — I would love to start doing these things without stopping or hesitating because I get discouraged.

Our children’s worlds revolve primarily around family, friends, and school (education systems). I can’t fix the education system, I can’t fix the child welfare system and I can’t single-handedly solve the problem of poverty. What I can do and what I will do and what I must do is elevate the level of discourse and sound a call to action by delivering a message of hope and resilience to the millions of people critical in the lives of children.

Posted at 11:23h, 05 FebruaryI would start a fashion line that benefits the world. In my vision, the profit would go partially back to business expenses (including a fairly low salary for me, as I have no interest in being wealthy), but the majority of it would go to benefiting the world (charities, etc.). Not only would it benefit the world that way, but production would be sustainable, eco-friendly, animal-friendly, and fair trade. Lastly, the clothes would not be ugly because, lets be honest, there is a dearth of clothing lines that are produced in this way that are appealing to fashion lovers (there are some, but not very many).

I’d get my hands earthy dirty with experienced guidance growing what I’d eat. I’d create a table and offer wholesome, rich, fresh healthy meals from my garden for the few who honor my endeavor and relish its product.

Far too many people work on their dreams in isolation, and I think this program will help me connect with all of the people I need who also believe in my mission, and who want to see young people be the change they want to see in the world.

Finally, I would become a financial supporter of an orphanage in South America and author a children’s lit series inspired by orphaned children to raise awareness (and funds!) for the amazing organizations that do such devoted work to care for orphans. Posted at 12:55h, 05 FebruaryThe first thing I would do is be able to resolve my health issues, both by gaining the knowledge I’m lacking and (even more important) by having the support I need to follow through with the prescription I write for myself. Since I believe the root cause of my health issues is emotional, by healing myself I would not only be physically healthy but also much freer (from negative beliefs and past traumas) to both discover and then develop my passion, which is now currently lost and languishing on a back burner somewhere. I’m pretty sure that living out my passion will involve writing, coaching, and research about mind/body health.

Posted at 13:11h, 05 FebruaryIf I had the help of anyone in the world, I would truly like to revamp the education system in the state of Texas. If I had to answer this question seven years ago, I would say something about traveling to exotic places and writing some book about culture. Now that I have interacted with the writers of our future, I must address education. Children in Texas are being program to pass a test that changes by the blink of an eyes and the less fortunate urban schools are using curriculum that does absolutely nothing for learning. I would attempt to start charter school systems that follow the common core, but where learning is more individualized are pathway designed as the learning in the UK in relation to the CXC exams. I would truly love to create a passion for education despite the direction of the future.

Posted at 13:14h, 05 FebruaryI’ve had music in my head ever since I could remember. Some beautiful symphonic works that I was apparently born with and new music keeps popping up. My parents are very conservative, and instilled in me that I should get “real work” and that music should be “an avocation, not a vocation”. But I never married into money or became the successful doctor they wanted. Something about my inner psyche always rebelled and I could never wrap myself around that dream of theirs. Now I am 46. I finally found the free music software, Musescore (thank you from the bottom of my heart, you wonderful people!), and I’ve finally been able to get some of the music out of my head. But without formal training in music composition, it is very difficult to take the full symphonic piece I hear in my head and pick out the different instruments to place it in a score. Let alone make certain I am writing it correctly for a symphony.
So I would obviously look to connect with somebody, who for their own, special, altruistic reason, would want to help me. And I also feel that since I was born with this, if I choose to pursue it, somehow the doors will finally open for me. Or at least, through this post, start putting it out in the world. 🙂
Thanks for reading (and I apologize that it is a longer post than I was supposed to do)!

If environment is everything, we can not forget the one in which we grow and develop the most rapidly. The nurturing positive therapies (meditation, cognitive training/relaxation, hypnosis, and yoga) can give a mother what she needs, so that she can in turn give her unborn what he/she needs. This could be shared in person, through a blog, book, and/or online videos.

Posted at 13:23h, 05 FebruaryI would take the time and effort to thoroughly focus and expand my understanding of life through the focus on understanding the person im with. I would use that to set my life goals and to full heartedly pursue them with confidence. I would aim to begin a movement of local growing and self sustainability for everyone, travel the world, and start up a company based on exploring new and often suppressed technology emphasizing the spreading of the technology and information. My main focus would however be on learning how to promote and share love with people more effectively so that they have the tools as well to integrate more love into their own life.

Posted at 11:24h, 06 FebruarySuper! My dream seems to be in line with yours. I also want to find a strategy to change the world and create self sustainability for everyone and develop simple but efficient technology to realize it.
My vision on this is still in development, but I have summarized it all in a website:

Posted at 13:28h, 05 FebruaryFor me inspiration and accountability would help in changing my mindset. Having the support of a network of people that not only believe in me but also challenge me to stay the course would be invaluable in changing all areas of my life not just my career path.
I have completed yoga teacher training and our area is full of teachers and studios. I want to pursue my goal to teach yoga and provide peace and mindfulness I just need a push to launch into this amazing path without being intimidated by all the other amazing teachers out there. XX

Posted at 13:50h, 05 FebruarySince I am introverted and quite shy, talking has never come naturally and makes it so much harder to figure out how to connect with people. If I had the help, I would learn to cook around the world learning from experts in South America, Asia, and Europe. I would give up searching for a “real job” that’s soul-sucking and grow my blog teaching people to cook healthy delicious meals from traditional roots. The idea terrifies me so I must be on the right track.

Posted at 14:10h, 05 FebruaryOh to have the help of someone that could provide a platform to spread the Must Love Journey movement would be extraordinary! I believe that each and everyone of us has the ability to become the best we can be in our life; but we must take action into our hearts and souls to start the Journey – to learn to love ourself !
To be able to create a movement to inspire a person to take action – when they look at the MUST LOVE symbol – to FEEL the love and joy , to let it create a shift in their emotional state this would make my wish come true.
Persons such as Oprah, Joel Osteen and other spiritual leaders would support my vision of MUST LOVE JOURNEY to become a visual companion for each of us to love ourself – for when that is done – one’s life is greatly enhanced !

Posted at 14:13h, 05 FebruaryI feel so extraordinarily fortunate to be living the life I have been guided to live right now. Working with business leaders and conscious entrepreneurs who want to make a greater difference in the world IS incredibly rewarding, especially witnessing their triumphs and impact. Knowing that life wasn’t always this way for me, I believe that I have learned from each and every experience (including oppressive jobs-ugh!) and continue to navigate through life, gifted with great mentors, wisdom teachings and the tools to support others to become more fully aligned as human spirits bridging to our more grounded world. Through my travels, with the intention to bring more peaceful engagement into the world and to share the wisdom from international leaders, I had the opportunity and great honor to host the Extraordinary Leadership Telesummit during the past several months, to interview some of the most profound teachers of our time. Most of the participants were leaders in their own rights, open-hearted and open-minded to share what works for them to create business collaborations and creative engagement while making a living at something they love. I have committed my life to be in service to you, as leaders, to thrive while serving humanity, addressing the incredible challenges we face, simultaneously realizing your core dreams and making the greatest positive impact in our world!

Posted at 15:38h, 05 FebruaryI would get the help of Salman Kahn of Kahn Academy. I’ve been enamored with the power of online education and MOOCs since discovering them, but I feel they fall short in language education. Language is a collaborative experience and I think our current class style top-down education is flawed because it is a one way street from teacher to student. I would like to create a community drive language education website where users create lessons and offer feedback to fellow students while simultaneously connecting with each other and learning through conversation as friends and mutually interested peers, in the same manner which we learn and develop our own native languages.

Posted at 15:52h, 05 FebruaryI would combine my passion for art, connecting people, and traveling to make the world a more beautiful and inspiring place. I believe art can connect people, inspire people, wake up their passion, and inspire them to a better future. I want to create spaces for artists from all over the world to display their art, of any form, around the themes of a better future. Sometimes all the bad news and negativity can make people pessimistic.
With the same objective in mind, I would also love to work with a group of creative and passionate people on creating a documentary about inspiring stories from around the world that highlights what people can do, how innovative we are, how powerful we are when we try to do good.

Posted at 16:32h, 05 FebruaryI strongly believe that so many things can be achieved and so many issues can be resolved in this world when people come together with their own empowering intent that leads to that one common goal. For example, the issue of obesity, one person’s intent may be good looks, other person’s intent may be longevity, another ones intent may be a strong and full of energy body, and so on. The common goal can be to have a healthy body-weight. If only I could have the connections to bring together the key-players / influencers / policy-makers / decision makers that relate to this issue and common goal, I believe that the outcome of that gathering will be very empowering and will make a huge difference in the lives of so many people as it will have combined all these various intents and therefore, be relevant to so many of us, not to mention the committed power of action by all the gathered parties.

With the support of marketing and subject experts, I’d use my counseling training, life learnings, and gentle, encouraging listening and caring to make it possible to fully join the world, express oneself, and feel connection. I’d also deeply welcome support for my creative side, growing as a songwriter and singer…cowriting and performing in Nashville and NYC (I returned to music in midlife, willing to be mentored anew…I’d love to continue that music mentorship, as I take a stand for all quiet, little, creative midlife moms successfully pursuing multiple dreams, in my own way. I’d really love to have the added encouragement and wisdom of your course to keep me courageous!)

I idealize this school as a dynamic conversation across disciplines–creative, liberal, scientific, and technological.
This goal will only be desirable and possible as a collaborative network of expert visionaries and supporters… Here’s where those “anyones” enter the picture…

Posted at 17:05h, 05 FebruaryYou know how a person comes into your life and completely changes you?(I know that sounds really cliche) I want to be able to be that person. For lots of people. Not like a public speaker workshop kind but the best friend kind. I want to be able to make everyone around me realize their potential. Have a ripple of happiness kind of effect. At this point I’m still trying to figure out what I want to do with my life, but I know that this is important in any direction I go in. If I don’t end up getting the spot, then I can hopefully learn the lessons of the course through general life. (Crossing my fingers)I realized as I was reading through peoples comments that pretty much everyone has a great idea and direction they want to go in. And that’s the first step isn’t it? I’m completely positive that everyone on the site will be able to follow through with their dreams even if they (you) don’t get into the course. Good luck everybody!!

1. A school for gifted healers ages 1 to 18 – there are incredible kids that are coming to this world at this time with abilities we would consider magical – and a healing center where they practice their craft in a self-sustained community that is govern by only one law – LOVE, AND DO WHAT YOU WILL.
2. A blog to support women to step into their true power and change the world from inside out, so we will leave this world to our children without guilt and shame – world of love, beauty, reverence for all living beings, freedom and joy.
And for me, I would pursue my true passion to create high art – the art that heals all wounds.

Posted at 18:00h, 05 FebruaryHow would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
My life would have more impact on those around me; I could learn from others and share that knowledge to make our society more creative, giving and thoughtful of others.
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I would pursue knowledge and spread best practices by creating a movement similar to Live Your Legend, though I would target people who have day jobs and feel stuck. In other words, if others are not ready or feel that they cannot quit their work to pursue their passions, how might they make their daily work passionate and use it as a learning opportunity for themselves and others? That is what I would teach and I would share possibilities and give hope.

Posted at 19:15h, 05 FebruaryAs a Japanese-English interpreter, I would create bridges between people in both the private and public sector, and eventually become a travel specialist that focuses on Japan. By personalizing people’s trips abroad, my clients would take home wonderful memories of once-in-a-lifetime, educational experiences. This is a dream that is near and dear to my heart, which is why I’ve spent the last 9 years of my life studying Japanese and reaching out to amazing people in Japan, such as an artist who carves sculptures for a UNESCO World Heritage site. A bio-technology company hired me for a short-term project, but I know I’ll need to keep expanding my network if I want to continue helping people connect with Japan in a meaningful way.

Posted at 19:42h, 05 February“The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.” quotes Pablo Picasso. World peace will be created through the help of other to activate a tipping point – it may sound big and even impossible to some and yet, it is actually within grasp. Pursuing a cultivation of society to create oneness through meditation, communication, gratitude for what we have and forgiveness of ourselves and others, would provide ultimate liberation!

Posted at 19:44h, 05 FebruaryI’d save the world! I’d reignite the curiosity of the natural world in people. I’d work hard to share my adventures, encourage others to explore their outdoor world, and take a second thought to living a bit more green. So if I had the support of anyone in the world it would be the support of a writer, editor, or producer to take me under their wing.
I am a scientist that longs to bridge the gap between the science world and the general public. My background in wildlife, conservation, and biology along with my immense passion and outgoing personality provide me with a unique perspective. Posted at 00:17h, 06 FebruaryWhat would I do if I have anyone’s help?
First person whose help I need to do something is …myself… I guess I have that. I started on my own two years back and have been at it since then. There have been umpteen numbers of highs and lows since then. Looking back, I realise that at all low times, I felt lonely. I wished I had more like-minded people with me to achieve what I set out for.
If I had support of anyone I needed, I would do something to change the way we deal with people at work… be it our team or our customers… I feel that the human element is mostly missing and this transactional behaviour leads to frustration for everyone. Imagine we had happy employees and happy customers! This world would be such a happier place as our state of mind has a multiplying effect on people we meet. If I am happy and I meet 10 people in a day, my happiness rubs on 10 more people. These 10 people meet another 100 people making them happier and it multiplies.
I have started in a small way. I am sure I would find a more effective way of doing it sooner or later….

Posted at 02:04h, 06 FebruaryThe questions posed are awesome! They force you to get clear on what your dream is and to take a look at what is holding you back from pursuing your dream. If I would have read the email a couple of years ago, I wouldn’t have posted here.
Today, I know what I want from life & what I want to do with my life. I am very clear on why I want to do it, and I know what is stopping me. My difficulty lies in the actual money I need to outsource the work that needs to be done. Better yet, I would love to work with a passionate team of innovative people. At the moment, I’m unable to pay myself! I know this is only temporary and I’m sure many of you can relate.
In the 4 years of pursuing my passion I have come a long way and am proud of my achievements. I am grateful for all I have learned and all the people I have met. I am now ready to take it to the next level and I know I can not do it alone. I am a visionary. I know exactly what my dream looks like, I just need people who are passionate about what they do to help me get there and in turn I hope to help them achieve their goals/dreams.
The difference in my life would be that I would be able to focus my time and energy on what I’m good at instead of being so hard on myself about the things I’m not good at. I would be able to reach out to people who need support, but I would also be able to reach out for the support I need when I would need it . Also, I would eventually be better financially so that I can fly out to see my father and sister for the first time in 11 years.
I’ve been an Entrepreneur all my life and will be one for the rest of my life.
Most people in my life thought I was crazy to quit my day job. Even more people thought I was nuts to pursue my dream instead of getting another job. They think I live in the clouds and that I will never achieve what I set out to do because it’s too big. Good thing I don’t listen. 😉

Posted at 02:05h, 06 FebruaryMy dream is a to create a world where service, love and care are the key ingredients to everyone’s approach to every aspect of life. I truly believe that this approach would change the world and that it is somewhere to be found in the core of every human being, no matter how well hidden sometimes. I would love to connect to people that can help me turn my passion, this dream, into an actual business/platform that would support me in living a comfortable life and providing the means to pay it forward. I would pursue a career in opening up, empowering and connecting people in order to create all of the above.

Posted at 03:55h, 06 FebruaryIf i had all the help in the world. I think i would simply just carry on what im already planning to do. I oath myself to change the world but starting with myself. And gradually step by step, am reaching what i was seeking for. It s a process i cannot cut corners and even after some failures i have never denied my potential and believe that the ego side related to success has to let go of the image of it and intelligence to give way to true living and connect with people to make a better world. I dream a lot. and i have many many ideas. And that would be great to be surrounded by people who allow you to dream without putting a finger on it with a label like ‘impossible’. She never stopped encouraging me, building my confidence, pushing me to pursue only the best and most beautiful things in my life and she would have done everything should could to help me if I told her I wanted to quit my boring 9-5 and pursue calligraphy, travel and storytelling full time. Everyone else just thinks I’m crazy.

Posted at 07:41h, 06 FebruaryI would start an organization to help children in the middle ground learn valuable skills by helping others. The lower and middle class children, whose parents are barely scraping by, are the ones often left to fend for themselves and therefore get into trouble. There are many programs out there to help children in poverty areas and the wealthier children are often in sports and activities.
Children in that segment of the population who are alone or in a poorly funded day care setting after school, or the teenagers who hang out at the local parking lot, could benefit so much from helping others who need it – working in the yard, learning repairs, learning cooking skills, tending a garden for families who need it, putting together care packages for the homeless downtown. I have worked with many of these children in various activities and they have a genuine desire to help and to make a difference. All they need is guidance and the opportunity, both after school and over the school breaks.
To have the facilities, the transportation, and the funds to build this with a support network of community organizations who can reach the people who need the help – that is my dream

Posted at 08:40h, 06 FebruaryI’d quit my job and launch my project devoted to bringing fresh fruit and vegetables to lower income people who don’t currently buy produce or even know the huge, life-changing health benefits they offer. Also get Bill Gates, Bono, Richard Branson et al involved in immediate measures to save the drastically endangered wild animals in Africa and Asia such as leopards, gorillas, tigers, lions, rhinos and elephants that are being killed for their body parts. I have 3 immediate family members who are not in the best of health right now and I’d like to channel the positive energy from achieving these life dreams to positive visualization to heal them. Thank you and good luck to everyone!

Posted at 09:12h, 06 February1. How would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
I would have many more people to motivate me towards my goals and guide me whenever I feel lost on my way to achieving my goal. Also, I feel that the more people you know, the more ideas you bump into. So, it would help me to come up with better ideas for things I would like to invent. Because when ideas intermingle, the end result is awesome.
2. What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I would like to build a portal gun ( just as the one shown in the game portal by valve *O*) which would help change the way we see transportation.
Kat Wilson
Posted at 09:20h, 06 FebruaryI would travel–first the continental US and then further–with nothing but a functional car, camping gear, some food, and my DSLR camera.
In every place I stopped, I would commit random acts of kindness, volunteer wherever my help is accepted, and ask for informational interviews with every person with a cool job or unique lifestyle who would be willing to give me their time.
Using that camera, I would collect pictures of them and their spaces, and use them to create photo essays that tell that person’s story–their dream, their reality, how they made it happen.
I would share it (only with permission, obviously) on a website to create a sort of catalogue of people who are living their dreams and who are willing to connect with others who share those visions–facilitating fulfilling, furiously passionate living for others is my dream.

Posted at 16:34h, 06 FebruarySounds a lot like “Humans of New York”, only in a lot more places.
It’s the people you meet that make travel so fascinating.

Posted at 09:21h, 06 FebruaryScott, this is a great contest – thanks for putting it out here!
How life would be different if I had the help of anyone I wanted:
Whoo-It would be the most amazing mastermind of all time. I love my business and being able to connect with people farther along than I am on this entrepreneurial success path would be a priceless opportunity/gift. It would be amazing to give as well as benefit from connecting with anyone.

Posted at 09:42h, 06 FebruaryWow! So many passionate people and exciting stories here.
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do? In 4 sentences or less… hmm
I always wanted to go to music school because music was such a huge part of my family growing up, and I wanted to be amazing at it. However when I got to music school, the joy was missing, the friendship was missing, it all felt forced and disempowering. So, I’ve begun to create a music community where peer to peer sharing is the fuel to keep you going. But I need help; I need help to get it really moving, to stay on track, to build it up, to share with more people, and show that there is a great way to learn music and fuel your passion.
How would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
My life would have more joy, more happiness, because I would be doing the one thing i’ve always wanted to do, and sharing this passion with a community much larger than myself.
Sheila
Posted at 10:22h, 06 FebruaryChad, this sounds SO cool. I have next to no formal training in music. I trained briefly as a vocalist, but like you found that formal process and environment just sucked the joy right out of it and created a lot of pressure to perform, when all I wanted was to sing. Music for me is a shared experience that connects me to others; and your music community sounds like a place someone like me could come home to. Best of luck to you!
Alisa
Posted at 16:43h, 06 FebruaryI think my youngest son intuitively understood what you had to experience for yourself. He refused free music lessons from a family friend (who conducts a semi-professional symphony and studied in Europe) because “he wanted to make his own music.”

Posted at 09:54h, 06 FebruaryProfessionally, I would start my first company now, which would improve others’ lives by using engineering concepts. I would then move back home and build other companies to create jobs, promote entrepreneurship and give the people of Puerto Rico an example to follow, by exporting services and goods to the continental US and Latin America.
On the other side of my life, I would start community service projects to motivate kids to do more than what they think is possible, to exceed their own expectations! I would love to give seminars to thousands, in both English and Spanish, to inspire them to work to be outstanding, and nothing less.

By being able to to create with anyone, I would be able to connect with high end researchers and experts in these areas to find the latest best practices for raising healthy children. his will allow them to be innovative and creative and not have to worry about correcting the damaging practices that cause major problems. Posted at 11:54h, 06 FebruaryHow do I become a rainmaker for a mid sized registered investment advisor????!!!!
I want to keep my own daily schedule so I can have quality time with my wife & children.
I want my wife to have the ability to stop working and stay home to take care of our children.
I guess you can say that I’m a lazy man at heart. My perfect world would have me living in a cozy house in Santa Cruz, CA with my wife and two children. I dream of slowing down this ride called life. (I must disclose that I love speed and riding my motorcycle on the race track.) But when it comes to my wife and children I feel that I don’t have enough time to enjoy our moments together. I’m always worried about the next task for work, my wife’s work schedule the children’s homework and playtime.
I believe that with the proper help and direction I can live my life on my terms. I enjoy working for a wealth management firm and I like our clients. I want to continue helping them and others make their money work for them.
Life is about relationships and I enjoy my working relationships but I want to bring more people to our firm. People who need a partner, a helping hand, someone who will listen to their wants an needs. What do you want your money to do for you? That is the discussion I want to have with folks who are at that point in their lives.
I want to take the next step in my career but I’m afraid to move forward.

Posted at 12:06h, 06 FebruaryI feel like I could burst with the potential for what I have to share and teach people about bulk meal planning and cooking for health and fitness.
I have the ideas to write a Meal Planning Manifesto. I want to start a movement that teaches people how to eat healthy. The sad truth is that someone needs to be a leader to reverse the obesity epidemic. This shouldn’t be a fad or a trend, either. It’s about truth and fundamentals of health and wellbeing and not about me being a ‘diet’ guru.
I’m inspired by the work Jamie Oliver has done to help teach kids how to eat well. Why not teach people how easy it can be to prepare healthy meals at home, in bulk, instead of consuming fast foods and processed food, and getting sicker and fatter.
There has to be an easy way to break through to the general public that has been hypnotized by fast food companies lying to them, saying that their foods and drinks are safe and healthy. What people are eating is slowly killing them and the simple art of cooking at home needs to be re-introduced.
This is something much bigger than me, and it scares the shit of me, but I know I can do this. With the right guidance and support, I could could write the books I have in mind, and figure out just how to use video to share my message and help others.
Alisa
Posted at 16:47h, 06 FebruaryThere’s a huge community on Pinterest around cooking in bulk, freezer meals, etc. Have lots of pictures on your site along with your great message and you’re sure to get noticed.

Posted at 12:31h, 06 FebruaryI am a singer/ songwriter and I have always dreamed of touring the world. With the right people in my corner, I would create the platform to inspire others, not only with my music, but by being authentic and shedding light on issues close to me, such as depression, addiction, eating disorders, sexuality and perseverance. Music unites people; it brings hope. By having the right support around me, I’d create a circular flow of inspiration. I would finally get to feel that I’m living with purpose, making a difference and helping others at the same time.

Posted at 13:42h, 06 FebruaryIf I had the help of anyone I wanted, I would use inspired action + love to create positive change for the world’s oceans. My passion is the sea–as Jacques Cousteau once said, “The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever.”
I want to make a HUGE change in the way we treat our oceans: working with corporations to create a more conscious capitalism that doesn’t harm our seas and its inhabitants, educating citizens about humans’ interconnectedness with oceans & their ecosystems, and shaping public policy in a way that will protect all our seas.
Having help to move forward with these goals would help me live my true authentic life!

Posted at 13:58h, 06 February1- My life would be different by having a mentor or guide to help me focus on aligning my passion, talents and interests to a career that I am called to do. Helping me be accountable, persevere and offer support.
2- Not sure what I would do, hoping to find out more soon:) But I always had a dream to be in a band where rock and blues would touch and inspire the world. To make people laugh is also a passion of mine. On a side note, I find Warren Buffett inspiring (thanks for the article Scott!). I am thinking of starting an investment partnership with somone to follow the principles of value investing according to Benjamin Graham principles. Anyway, I am starting to ramble here. Just some brainstorming thoughts I often think about. Good luck to all in living your dreams! This movement is awesome!

Posted at 14:23h, 06 FebruaryI am a single mother with a very smart 5-year old who is currently struggling with being challenged in the public school system. I was very inspired by the TED talk with Logan LaPlante (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h11u3vtcpaY), as it brought me to tears. If I had the ability to connect with anyone, I would work from home and provide my son with an environment rich in the opportunities and resources that would empower him to hack his own education. I would move towards coaching other parents to do the same for their kids, and perhaps establish a school that provides such an environment, setting off a chain reaction of happy & healthy kids turned adults.

If I had the help of Radio Disney Los Angeles Station Manager, Natalie Eig, I would be able to establish my voice over career doing voice over work for the radio station, and do a lot of work for Disney overall, both at Disney Radio and in their animated films and cartoons. Posted at 18:37h, 06 FebruaryI would set up a system where kids (coming out of, or even replacing compulsory education) could try short stints at a variety of jobs and be nurtured in learning life skills that they haven’t been taught until then by the traditional system: how to connect and engage, how to find your passion, how to take care of your emotional and physical health, how to build a business, how to give back, how to ask for help and advice, how to decide what to question and what to believe, negotiation and mediation; once this was proven successful, we’d reach out to the even younger ones and their educators.
Not just serving the world, but serving the next generation to serve the world.
Having everyone I want around me means this team will support not just me, but everyone in this system.
And part of that “everyone” would be you, Chris Guillebeau, Leo Babauta, Jonathan Fields, Brené Brown, Seth Godin, Josh Kaufman, Marshall Rosenberg, William Ury, Gene Sharp, Shawn Achor, Philip Zimbardo, Ramit Sethi, Dan Ariely… And the rest, we’ll figure out along the way.

Posted at 18:44h, 06 FebruaryIf the world was in my corner, I would feel much more confident that my ideas were usable. I would spend much less time convincing people I knew what I was talking about (or thinking I had to). Because I am saving more time there, I have more usable time and energy actually acting on my ideas. I would have work that fully uses my skill set, and pushes me to learn more and get better. My work would be worthwhile and positive.
For something more concrete: If the world was in my corner … my husband, daughters and I would start a foundation (or an endowment within one of our existing community foundations) to create and sustain meaningful projects that affect positive change for the youth of our community (Youth = 0-30yrs)

Posted at 18:54h, 06 FebruaryI would build my life around showing the world tradicional and popular cultural groups. Their stories, routine, beliefs, day-to-day life, everything. My tools to that end are photography and cultural journalism, two of my biggest passions. The goal is to show people that culture goes beyond the big urban centers; culture is everywhere, it builds character and makes us a part of the world.

Posted at 18:55h, 06 FebruaryI would take steps with more certainty since the people around me would be the right persons to guide me, and so I would stop being so afraid of doing things.
I would start a socially oriented business in order to be financially independent and help others at the same time, I´ve allways loved health sciences and helping others in need, so I guess I basically want to do my part in making this world a better place for as many people as I can.

Posted at 19:06h, 06 FebruaryI’m changing what “I would do” to “what I WILL do…” And soon to “what I AM doing!”
Through hands-on work and through the photographic medium I will do my best with all my heart to help as many beings (of both human and animal-kind) as well as our precious planet/environment to:
1. Heal and resolve the conflicts in their lives be it their “outside lives” or their inner physical, emotional, spiritual lives;
2. I will do this both here at home and around the planet;
3. I will capture on camera what moves me to tears – happiness, sorrow, love, gratitude, peace, kindness, compassion, stillness, nature
4. I will create as big a footprint of peace and love that I possibly can.
Oh, and I’ll FINALLY get a website and blog up and running!

Posted at 19:33h, 06 FebruaryA technologically savvy, marketing genius would help me set up an on-line training school for teachers of “at risk” students. I would train teachers how to teach my Discover Your Passion and You Cannot NOT Communicate books as well as train every child in my Bully-Be-Gone and Kids Mentoring Kids books. I would emphasize in-depth training for kids in the areas of attitude, human relations skills, and non-verbal communication. Understanding and mastering the skills of human nature can make a huge difference in the lives of all students but especially “at risk” kids.

Even with all the negativity around me I quit my job in Dec and have started working on my ideas but I know I need help in putting them out there.
2. I would love to write my biography which includes my childhood home burning down completely, being raped, losing both parents at critical points in my life and losing then finding my dream. I also want to develop a program for young girls to gain support in realising their dreams and run a major book drive for underprivileged children in my community.

Posted at 22:53h, 06 FebruaryI would get my band from university back together and produce (and market) a professional quality album of the songs we wrote. Even if the album wasn’t a best seller, at least I wouldn’t go through life not knowing whether our music is as good as I’m sure it is, and if I no longer had to devote so much of my energy towards my teaching job and striving for financial independence, I’m sure I would get back the creative brain space to start writing music again (I still play a lot of music, but haven’t written anything since 2007), and could devote my life entirely to spreading the healing power of funky music!

If I had the help of anyone I wanted the part of my life that would be different would be following through, and making more space in my life to pursue my dreams. I would pursue my Masters of International and Community Development. I would create a non-profit that focuses on engaging neighbourhoods to provide opportunities to have a voice into the creation of where they live as well, leadership opportunities for youth to engage with their local and global communities through volunteering, and advocating and providing opportunities for children and families to engage in play and with nature.

Also, to find ways to assist university students to earn income to finance their studies and to give advises and counselling to them, to instill the importance of saving money and entrepreneurship and the joy of helping and supporting each other.

A life wherein I can go back to Grad school to become a Vet and be able to start a nonprofit no kill animal sanctuary that would take animals/pets that are abandoned and be able to provide a home that can care for them till their natural death. Posted at 05:07h, 07 FebruaryI would build educational opportunities in areas where access has been denied or inaccessible because of religion, gender, social taboos and the like; in conjunction with proper education format, guidelines, benchmarks, etc, I would allot funds and energy towards music and art, aspects of education that are cut first but which are wholly as important as language, math, and science skills for the positive influence they have on the student.
I would, concurrently, open my own business: a community-centered coffee shop, a hub for people to work alongside other optimistically socially-conscious people, a place to connect a share ideas, but also a place that supports small communities around the world by promoting global connectivity/exchange and practicing conscious involvement with the customer base and social communities both at home, as well as the communities abroad with whom we do business. I would like to use both endeavors to promote a larger understanding of the world we live in, and just how vastly our experiences in it differ.

Posted at 05:45h, 07 FebruaryA month ago I decided to learn to programm because I wanted to create something meaningful not for me, but for people. This meaningful thing has to do with languages and helping people to learn more stuff or things through different languages.
I speak 5 five languages and I’m currently learning Russian. In fact, I’m taking on a challenge on youtube. So, to answer those questions:
1) My life would be totally different since I would be receiving help from someone who believe in big projects and ,more importantly, someone who helps me differentiate between what’s wrong or what’s good with my idea.
2) I would create a website or an application where people can read the same information they like reading in their mother tongue in other languages. In that way, people will not only learn more about what they’re really interested in, but also they will be motivated to learn more about how a different culture or country sees a particular topic.
Just to give an example. If I like reading about personal develpment in English and If I speak, say, spanish, I could also do it in spanish AS LONG AS there’s a place where I can find all of that immediately.
Tha’s my idea and that’s how I could help people or help them to change their lives through languages and more.
Thanks for this contest and for everything you do Scott 🙂

Posted at 06:04h, 07 FebruaryIf I had the help of anyone I wanted, I would gather people around me with influence and decision making within a global context, e.g. Scientists, Politicians, Religious representatives, Celebrities etc. I would then ask for their assistance in promoting a better understanding of how we are all linked, that nothing can happen on this planet without it affecting in one way or another a different part of the life we lead.
I would create a global network where all walks of life can use what they develop through courses and events such as LYL, to work towards educating those without the same access as us, to push their own boundaries, with the aim of making a difference, building confidence and breaking down barriers. I believe that if we can share an understanding and educate more people in learning that in giving to others, you receive more to give, then we can all achieve really big things.

Posted at 07:47h, 07 FebruaryHi, Scott!
As an introvert and highly sensitive person, I am very aware of people’s feelings and have a strong desire for deep and meaningful connections. If I could truly connect with anyone, not only I’d be able to embrace my VULNERABILITY and ask and get help from people, but, most importantly, I’d have the COURAGE to let myself be truly seen by and to openly share my knowledge and skills with them.
I’d create (in fact, I’m slowly doing so) a blog>community>REVOLUTION on the way we all deal with a much desired and often misunderstood trait: creativity! My hope is to INSPIRE AND HELP people see that everybody is creative; that creativity can be cultivated, just like a plant; and that if we cultivate creativity, our own lives can bloom as well!

Posted at 07:55h, 07 FebruaryHow would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
I would live my dream then, without hesitation and share this joy with everyone around me.
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I’d create a place where everyone can learn how to get in touch with their inner artists and how to use their creativity to create their lives from within and be fulfilled. I’d love to have a center where adults learn from children, and where every student can explore different art forms (music, writing, painting, filming, dance ..whatever) freely and without all the blocks and criticism we are used to.
I’d be able to travel the world and share that withn the world, too.

Posted at 09:23h, 07 FebruaryI would aim for the moon and if I miss I would end up amongst the stars :)) Best saying ever! With the right people you can do anything. I would become a great writer, a marketing maven, a brand guru, an excellent pitch women, a persuasive salesperson, a creator of quality, caring, equally beneficial, inspiring and motivating relationships. I would reach higher highs and help others reach theirs, continue to travel the world, study photography and dance more! I would cook wonderful meals and realise my biggest dream ever of becoming a bad ass entrepreneur, in a good way 😉
One word to sum it all up would have to be: UNSTOPPABLE!
Feeling the sudden need to add a BAM!

Posted at 10:26h, 07 FebruaryI would combine my passion for art, connecting people and travel to do something meaningful; something to inspire people. I would connect artists from all around the globe around a common theme: how to make a better future for everyone. I believe art in all it’s forms can be very powerful and can inspire people and give them hope. I would also create a documentary around the same theme, creating a better future, through showing stories of people from around the world that have come up with innovative ways to make a difference in the world in their own small way. I want to inspire people to be their best selves.

Posted at 11:46h, 07 FebruaryI’ve already been blessed to have been able to do awesome things in this world, been a part of building great startups in the Bay Area and revolutionary community groups in another country. I’ve accessed incredible people, powerful people, VIPs. But I still have a problem taking the initiative to really open up and seek the help of powerful people, I’m still intimidated and stuck in my idea that I lack presence and don’t fit into their world. If I could get the help of anyone I wanted, I would rock the world with technology to facilitate liberation to higher states of consciousness. After all my experiences in social activism, software gaming, you name it, I believe that this is the path that could help people most and this is what I am most passionate about.

Posted at 12:41h, 07 FebruaryI’m tired of the education system in India, tired that we are taught to forget about creativity and focus on learning without understanding why!… it also seems so unfair that only the privileged few get an education. I would like to create a system of teaching that makes children think about their future at an early age. I want to create classrooms on streets and below bridges so that even the children living on the street have access…. and I just dont know where to begin.

Posted at 12:42h, 07 February1)How would your life be different if you had the help of ANYONE you wanted?
I would live ON purpose: I would feel connected with my ‘tribe’, supported, inspired and I would believe anything IS possible as would be evident from the accomplishment of my dream that I would have been able to realize with the help of my inspiring mentors.
2) What would you pursue, create or do?
It is my intention, desire and dream to help women of my generation to heal permanently from their wounds and traumas, to guide them to reconnect to their hearts & souls, and then mentor them so they will be able to create the fulfilled & kickass life their soul is yearning to live.
I envision realizing this dream with a true holistic mind/body/spirit approach that touches upon all areas of their life and in which spirituality, psychology, art, journaling, dance & yoga and down-to-earth practical implementation tools will be used interchangeably.
The successes of the women would then create a movement and an inspirational ripple effect for all the people in their lives to reach a new way of being, experiencing and creating in this world.

Posted at 12:59h, 07 FebruaryI would serve people as many people as you do, use the knowledge to improve their life, increase productivity of people, time management, leadership and influence ,find the passion, change habits, energy, increase their self confident, that stopping them to act, achieve their goals, inspire and motivate by my own example of achieving greatest results. Many people to start that process have fear, frustration , they all have aspirational needs. So I would to start trasformation of my life. It is a very nice to be a part of community and learn from each other, being helpful. Being helpful can grow your business as you build trust. The fastest way to start transformation is to be in community which shares the same value as you do, it is your kickstarter, to be a masters of your own life and have responsibility. I would start thinking of online educational course to implement the mission. Life is too short waste time. The goal without execution is delusion. You can lead with your own example. To go out from your comfort zone is difficult that is why community can help you to make changes. Also the person can declare goals to community and community will be a testimonial. Telling personal stories can make changes. You can understand your mission, vision and strategies, tactics.

Posted at 14:30h, 07 FebruaryI have a problem: I love to help people – maybe I’m a sucker, but I think I’m an altruist. If I had the help (the kick in the butt, really), I would start my own non-profit consulting business to help more than one organization at a time. I would create a non-profit hub geared for small organizations, and specialize in bringing out the best in small development shops of one or two people – which is the majority of non-profits. I would then be able to make a bigger mark and difference in communities than I can by myself.

Posted at 14:44h, 07 FebruaryHi Scott, Chelsea, Liz and Celina,
Being an introvert can often be tough in the world of careers and business. I know – I’ve been there. In fact I still am and always will be. That’s why being the host for LYL LOCAL Leeds isn’t easy, but it’s a cause that means a lot to me. That’s why I do it. The H2CWA course would mean so much because;
The Western World’s strong bias in favour of extroverted personalities in business environments often leaves those of us on the introverted side of the personality spectrum underrated, undervalued and overlooked. By seeking out, connecting with and learning from the world’s most successful introverts and combining this with my extensive research and own real life successes and failures (almost all resulting from not understanding my own personality more fully), I will develop and provide the tools to;
1 – help introverts to take their place and thrive in their chosen career/business environment – and not merely survive;
2 – educate business leaders to identify, understand and develop the true value of those introverted members of their organisations.
Us introverts have been left in the shade for too long.
It’s time to for us to find our light.

Posted at 15:54h, 07 FebruaryHow would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
I would write my stories with fierce and fearless determination, with the knowledge that they tell when I was going off track, off message, getting boring, or neglecting opportunities to write even more compelling characters. I would trust them to catch all the little errors, the big ones, the plot holes, and other errors that would turn off paying readers. I would rely on them to offer up hard-hitting, actionable criticism without hesitation, knowing that they want the best for me and my work.
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I would produce socially-progressive video games, seizing the medium back from the wasteland of time-wasters we have now, and create undeniable, heart-touching art. I would start on that production path by writing the deep stories so often lacking from games, write code for game-play that challenges our expectations for interactive media, proceed to create art and design that embodies the message instead of just looking more realistic, and then master the business skills that would round out the entire package, freeing me to produce games that value people over profits.

Posted at 16:00h, 07 FebruaryHi I’m future Olivia, P.hd in Transformational Leadership Studies. I live in a tiny, eco-friendly house I built myself and am part of planning tiny house communities around the globe. I speak 7 languages and treat my friends to gourmet, professional meals on a $100/week budget and share the surplus food from my community garden with families who need it. I co-created a debt-free, passion-filled higher education model that shows anyone how to demand the education they want with the resources they have and created a business to build up game-changing, loving leaders. And Oh, I finally got that certification in massage therapy you’ve always wanted. I can’t tell you everything, but I think I’ve given you a start. All you have to do is invite the people who will bring me to life.

I’m starting to believe in the fairy tale..

Posted at 21:20h, 07 FebruaryOlivia, we tiny house enthusiasts have to stick together! I get all excited and geek out when I meet someone who also dreams of living small, and particularly living small within community. I’m not familiar with Marcy Miller. I’ll have to google her. I’ve been following Jay Shafer and attended one of his tiny house building workshops a couple of years ago. Super nice guy, wicked smart, and truly interested in furthering the small living movement. He founded Tumbleweed Tiny Houses but split with them a year or so ago. He has since formed Four Lights Tiny House Co., and I continue to follow his work. Just a few days ago, I stumbled on a site for a couple who’ve designed and built the most elegant and livable (by my standards) tiny home on wheels I’ve seen in the 10 years I’ve been interested in the subject. I’ll see if I can scare up that link and post it here for you. I think you’d dig it.
Re: that PhD in Transformational Leadership you mentioned – my masters degree is in leadership studies. Fascinating subject! If you’re unfamiliar with complexity leadership theory, check it out – it’s maybe my favorite theory of leadership.

Posted at 10:53h, 11 FebruaryGoogled Marcy Miller and realized – with a chuckle – that although I didn’t know her name, I know her story and tiny house. Read about her and her house a few months ago. It’s stories like Marcy’s that help me believe my own tiny house aspirations are within reach.
And like you, Olivia, I already feel like a winner, simply by being a part of this string of exchanges. The tiny house enthusiast community is very small (but growing); and I don’t often meet someone who gets it. Mostly, folks think I’m out of my mind. When I do meet another tiny house dreamer, it inspires and invigorates me all over again.
Oh, one more to add to your tiny house file: Tiny Texas Houses (www,tinytexashouses.com). A fascinating guy, Brad Kittel is focused not only on the size of houses, but on the materials used to build them. He builds his houses almost entirely from salvaged materials. Be sure to check out the “About” page on the website.
I’ve bookmarked your blog, Olivia, and look forward to following your journey!

@Jeremy–First off, your website creation is awesome. Way to invent a space to explore your passions and share it with others. Posted at 17:11h, 07 February1) I wouldn’t feel alone anymore. I dream big, but live in a small town and most people don’t understand the vision that I work towards. Having connection in this area of my life would be absolutely profound.

Me, too. So already, you don’t have to feel so alone. 😉
My town has one traffic light and a population of maybe 3,000. And yeah, big dreams aren’t on the menu here. I’ve pretty much been keeping my dreams, big AND small, to myself. And that’s maybe part of why I haven’t done much with them. But LYL has encouraged a shift in me. It’s in its infancy – just getting started, really – but I sense a little bit of momentum starting to build. It’s kind of delicious feeling. 😉
My dreams involve singing and tiny house / community building and out-of-debt getting and wicked-fabulous cupcake baking. How about you?

Posted at 18:40h, 07 FebruaryI would start a company which takes college age students to different places around the world to volunteer and teach them how to be storytellers. Learn how to connect with people, how to find meaning in the small things you do, and how to and pass on their stories either as memories, or lessons, or inspiration. I feel that many people have forgotten how much fun and how fulfilling it is to connect with another person, even for a few minutes. But, it’s something so small that can create a change, and this idea may already be in the works, and if it is, learning how to better conncet with people help me become one step closer to my dream job.

Posted at 18:43h, 07 FebruaryIf I had the help of anyone I wanted, my strengths would immediately kick into next gear. I’d quit the solo act, steal two incredible and talented peeps from my inner circle, hunt-down 1-2 more equally incredible and passionate folk specifically skilled in strengths that made up for one another’s weaknesses, and take that first small, medium, or large step forward!
Team Smartchange (as I’d call us:) would dive into building a tool that made research not only available for everybody (not just academia) but also made it incredibly fun and social. Our second project essentially would aim to drop an atom bomb of tools, resources, and education on the music industry, making Musical Artists as popular in 2014-15, as Entrepreneurs were in 2012-13. Boom.

Posted at 18:52h, 07 FebruaryI value the importance of learning and connecting with others because everyone has something to teach us in some form or another. I think it has to start with the people around us. If we can value and take something away from a conversation had with a random stranger which starts up from just being in the vicinity of each other, imagine the value of connecting with people who are personal inspirations.
I would use the help to launch a successful plant nursery business and then keep connecting with people by helping start community gardens that would connect the community and provide food education, hands on growing and a respect for fresh unprocessed foods.

Posted at 19:13h, 07 FebruaryI would have a team of mentors from whom I could learn everything I need to know to make real my business ideas, creating an environment where every individual contributing felt they were expressing something of themselves and learning and growing through the experience of working in the business. I would be living in a way that allowed me to travel freely and connect with new people everywhere I went to find new inspiration from whivh to create something of meaning. No matter where I choose to be physically, I will be connected to and creating “community” with people who share my view that the world is full of possibilities and inspiration and our purpose here is to create whatever we feel inspired to, because we each have something to give that will be of value to someone else.

Posted at 19:25h, 07 FebruaryIf I had access to the help of anyone I wanted I would make use of their guidance and start developing and implementing strategies for some of the ideas in my ever-growing little book of ideas, to navigate the business, creative, and social entrepreneurship world with more confidence and real knowledge.
Too much to speak specifics in 4 sentences or less, but lets say I am dreaming of a world with the fundamental human rights for every woman man and child, beginning with the end of modern day slavery in all forms and including access to fresh air, clean oceans, free water, and natural food for all of us. I am dreaming of a world where each one of us has access to healing, education, family/love, and more art and creativity and I believe we may be all dreaming along the same lines but in various forms; change is shaking us all up, in one way or another.
On a more personal note, it would be amazing to connect to people who have found a way to fully realize their passion and are happy, healthy, fulfilled, and free.

Posted at 19:42h, 07 FebruaryI’ve recently spent a great deal of time reviewing my passions and interests and my personality type to get a real sense for how I fit into my current job position/career. What I’ve found has made me aware that from this moment forward my career path will be taking a major turn. Because I’m anticipating the challenge of a mid-life career change amidst family obligations, I’m hoping to join a group of people who will keep me accountable during this time in my life; a support network who will share my enthusiasm, keep me grounded in reality, and help maintain my confidence in moving forward.

Posted at 19:54h, 07 FebruaryIf were the fortunate recipient of this opportunity, it would help in my decision to leave a job in Afghanistan to have the confidence and courage to try to break out of limitations that are imposed upon me by my family’s outdated, patriarchal traditional culture (i.e. a woman should not “find herself”, she should dedicate her life to serving her nuclear family first, then be married off to serve her husband and his family next, then bear her own children to sacrifice even more of herself towards their cause, then whatever is left after all of this should die a slow death with her song still inside of her.) Though I have been in the US for the greater part of 20 years, it has been a constant struggle all of my life to try to shake-off the psychological shackles of these age old traditions that espouse that a woman should not explore her world or her passions; should not be a driven and motivated entrepreneur, and should not live a “non-traditional” lifestyle (by Eastern & maybe even some Western standards). To be a trailblazer for all women and to know the tools and techniques I can implement to have others who will cheer me on and shine a light upon a path to succeed in this undertaking would be a tremendous opportunity. I cannot, at this exact moment, pinpoint what I would create other than to say that it would be the beginning of the creation of a whole new me–a strong, courageous and driven young woman who is not afraid to take risks and invest in the evolution of her being– by embarking upon a path to embody the true essence of herself through innate, god-given gifts and abilities; a path which will hopefully lead to the discovery of a her own voice (not that of traditions, culture, family, religion, etc.) that speaks loudly through her life’s work and passion.

Posted at 20:23h, 07 FebruaryMy dream is to help people tap into their authentic selves and show up everyday clothed in a style that is true to their essence. I am passionate about helping others feel good about themselves and I want to teach people how to use fashion as a means of self-expression. Instead, I’ve been working for the past 13 years in a mind numbing, stress filled civilian job. In my early 50’s now, I have a strong urge to leave the 9-to-5 and pursue a life as a professional nature, wildlife, and travel photographer. Posted at 23:19h, 07 FebruaryI would be out there teaching yoga to those with mind-body dissociation issues (eg: miscarriage, esp late term; PTSD etc) and help people feel at home in their bodies. I would have my blog and home page up and running to share ideas and help people understand. There would be free meditation sessions and other experts sharing information in health seminars. I would have great connections with hospitals and other institutions that can refer people with these issues. In the future I would increase my knowledge of nutrition and become a health coach to help these people further. I would help more people help themselves find a dream lifestyle as opposed to a dark place they do not know how to move out of.

Posted at 00:48h, 08 FebruaryIf I had the help of anyone who could guide me through every phase of the process of filmmaking, I could have transformed my ever cherished visions and scripts into compelling films with substance as well as entertainment. I feel that these days a strange wide gap is being created between low budget, artsy independent films and big budget, action centric spectacle studio movies. The audience is missing out on the intimate but immensely entertaining stories that can help bridge this gap. If I had the mentorship of a filmmaker, I could have turned my dreams into reality and wouldn’t just continue writing/directing short films like I do at the present.

Posted at 00:57h, 08 FebruaryI would work at the policy level to change broken and corrupt systems that cause suffering globally. I would bring awareness and change to our industrial food system, create investment vehicles for people to invest their retirement funds back into their communities rather than blindly in the market, teach yoga and meditation in schools to build compassion, and support policies that protect our environment. I would be an active player in creating a better world for us all to live in.

Posted at 01:00h, 08 FebruaryI would build my dream of creating a cooperative fire-arts studio because we all bring our individual lives and experiences to the table, which means we all have something of value to offer and share. Understanding this opens us all up to the opportunity of education, collaboration and to really dig deep down inside ourselves to find and cultivate our best self. It is my mission to inspire and to be inspired by working manually to create tangible, meaningful objects that intrinsically embody a history, nostalgia and priceless sentimentality.

Posted at 09:59h, 08 FebruaryMy personal passion is sustainability and to that end I’ve already quit my job and made some massive life changes. I now own a small farm and my vision is to share it with as many people as possible, making it a working example of how a more resilient and sustainable life is possible. If I had the support of anyone I wanted I would bring in my permaculture teacher who is a man who inspired and continues to inspire me, to support me as I design the farm and to jump start my ideas by plugging me into a new network of information and people. Everyone should have the means to create their own food security, and I would like to position myself to help make this possible.

My career has already involved raising $30 million dollars for charity and coordinating engaging environmental campaigns for 25 government departments, Greenpeace and other community groups, working with former Vice President Al Gore to train 240 leaders, working in TV, radio & online journalism, social change marketing, facilitation, venture capital, business coaching (9,000 to date), mindfulness and leadership. Posted at 16:57h, 08 FebruaryI would make it my mission to travel the world and spread my love for humanity through philanthropy. Bringing joy to others is perhaps the best feeling I have ever experienced and to do that on a large scale would be perhaps the best journey I could ever embark upon.

Posted at 11:56h, 09 FebruaryOh man, my inbox got killed at work on Friday and I missed the deadline!
Oh well, in case it can still be considered…
My life would change immeasurably because I could ditch my “golden handcuffs” and join the ranks of those working to make a difference in the world. If I could connect with anyone at this time it would be Brendan Brazier, founder of Vega, the amazing plant-based nutrition company. My mission would be to bring plant-based nutrition to the developing world, Latin America to begin with, so that future generations can grow and mature both physically and intellectually and in turn lift their countries out of poverty. My basic plan would be to build a replicable program for local farms to produce key nutrients and flavorings that could be distributed at very local cost to those who need it most, eventually becoming a thriving business owned and operated in the communities it serves.

Posted at 13:32h, 09 FebruaryHow would your life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
I would be working full time at what I love, traveling the world, meeting new people who are creative and supportive of my dreams, writing and photographing. That’s how my life would be different. Money or notoriety don’t matter to me. Probably why I am always struggling. I KNOW what my passion is, I just don’t know how to do it and make enough money to THRIVE, not just survive.
What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?
I would pursue my photography. Maybe work for non-profit agencies around the world, photographing what they do? I’d like my photography and work to be purposeful, not just “good photos”… (though that is important and I’m always learning!) I’d like it to help someone, market something, an idea, a purpose, a person… I’d like to make a difference.

Posted at 23:48h, 09 FebruaryCreating genuine and authentic relationships I believe sends an important signal to the world where people are valued for their true and unique selves. This is what I would hope to achieve from the course as just being an example of this in the world is hugely important.
This means taking the focus away from being validated for external successes such as money, beauty and power.
I believe the greatest impact one can make to the world is truly being yourself and not needing to limit someone else’s light so your light can burn bright.

Posted at 11:34h, 10 February1. My life might not be much different if I reject or shy away from others’ help. If I learn to trust and accept help, I guess I would be living my dream life ; managing my own business leisurely without fear of loss.
2. I would pursue a business in fashion, create my very own brand and fashion the world my way!

Posted at 19:32h, 10 FebruaryInspiration. I would get inspiration from people who have held onto their dreams and are achieving them. And by immersing myself in a community of achieving dreamers, I would bridge the gap between my head and its world of impossibility, and the dreams that wait expectantly in my heart. I want to become a part of such an inspiring community, so that we can reach out to children and show them that growing up doesn’t mean letting go of life’s magic.

A innovative, creative, enterprising, and most importantly fun Learning Studio for kids of the age 12 – 17 years old (Known as the formative years of kids). A studio which has different compartment / section with different conducive theme will allows the kids to embrace learning as a fun process and to further develop their passion / interest for particular subject instead of it being forced upon to them. Kids will be given a choice to decide or rather explore their choice from a young age itself, therefore allowing them the opportunity be indulge in the self realization process from a younger age. Simply a Learning Studio.

I would try to empower children and adults through ethics, spirituality and love.
I would create a digital version (Al Gore’s “Our Choice” style) of every single seminal book human kind has produce for young people to have easy access to, to increase an all time low literacy rate and to help rescue the excitement for the humanities and true knowledge.
I would preserve, upgrade and implement humanity’s traditional knowledge in the solutions for a sustainable development.
I would use same strategies commercial advertisement use to spread human values, knowledge and ethics. So your TV show gets interrupted by…wait ..what??!! The meaning of right speech in Buddhist ethics??!! Beautiful!

I would pursue ways to better communicate and learn from people from different backgrounds & cultures than me. I would create works of art & literature to express what I’ve learned and a place to go for healing and purpose. (Some of the areas I hope to begin are with things I’ve gone threw such as, sexual assault, depression, abuse, healing and finding inner peace.) I would do my best to bring more positive influence into the lives of everyone around me.

Posted at 06:32h, 11 FebruaryHello, I’m confused. Shortly after receiving Scott’s email about the contest, I submitted my entry. There were 37 comments when mine was pending approval. I don’t see my submission here and I never received Scott’s email yesterday announcing the contest winner.
My submission contained 4 to my blog, youtube and Facebook pages. Did I disqualify my entry by including these links and/or get removed from the community? If so, that information would be helpful to include in future contest rules. It wasn’t my intention to use the LYL site to promote myself. I just felt that since we only had 4 sentences, it was the most efficient way to work within the perimeters of the contest.
Thanks for any insights you can share about this.

Posted at 08:55h, 12 FebruaryI have reached a point in my career (and age) where it is time to give back “seriously.” I want to work with wounded war veterans; my husband is an Army vet and my son is now in the Army (West Point), with just a short time to go before it’s boots on the ground time. Vets are a unique group and I want to work with them in order to help them find their passions, understand their own values, and ultimately help them determine what brings them happiness (through sustained work or hobbies, etc.)

Posted at 12:54h, 12 FebruaryIt will help me on my mission to bring a positive insight on depression, help to remove the stigma associated with it and debunk its disempowering interpretations.
I was diagnosed with depression and embarked on a two-year journey to overcome it. I have totally re-engineered my life and made a 180-degree turn.
During my “depressed life” I was just getting by, living an unconcious life, “sleepwalking”, working at a corporate job that I didn’t like – consumed in my own pain – I was totally depressed.
Being on the other side of the spectrum and having done the work to move from one side to the other has taught me a lot and made me realize how much more I have to learn and grow. We all have so much potential. The only limits are the ones that our mind sets.
I have learned so much that I feel that need to help other people.
I started a blog a few weeks ago to tell me story and start connecting and inspire other people. Right now I’m about to star a web site to help me accomplish this. I still don’t know what’s going to look like but I will figure it out along the process…

Posted at 23:51h, 12 FebruaryWish I had seen this a week ago, but am glad I found the site this week. …
The problem is, I believe I DO have the support of anyone (actually everyone) in the whole universe supporting me. My only problem is ME. When I get out of my own way, I know I can achieve what I want. Some of the biggest obstacles are: not really wanting what I thought I wanted, being half-hearted and unclear about goals, and talking myself out of what I really want.
A few key things I love about your site is that you encourage downloading and using your materials right away!!! SHARING your materials. And connecting with others who are like-minded.
Carlos
Posted at 16:16h, 13 FebruaryI’m with you when you say — “that the problem is ME”– I’ve struggled with this for quite a while and it can be very frustrating. Scott is right when he says that first we need to be masters of ourselves.
Sometimes knowing yourself is a long journey and not always a linear one but is the only way to find substantial fulfillment in life. I see a therapist myself and I’m not ashamed of mentioning it because it truly is about personal growth. But I also think that hands-on experience can be as valid and effective.
Good luck in your journey!

Posted at 15:44h, 13 FebruaryGiven all these superfluous wars and conflicts in the world I would put the creators of “League of Legends” in my corner and convince them that with their massive influence in the game and media business and of course together with their millions of players we can build and create something that leads our world into more peace and caring for each other. The means I would either use are gamification methods or simple incentives paired with our soon starting project “Discs of Peace”. Here 5 Ultimate frisbee discs will travel the globe and report from their journey to bring the spirit of the game into the lives of the people.

Posted at 20:01h, 23 FebruaryWhat would I create?
I’d quit my soul sucking job as a criminal lawyer. Then I’d assemble a crack team of archaeologists, architects and historians and build castles. That’s right, castles.
To be more specific, I’d start a company where we build castles and manor houses the same design and scale that were built across Europe in the 11th to 17th centuries. We’d design our own or recreate famous crumbling landmarks all with modern heating, plumbing and amenities.
But with a huge difference. If you look on the environmental impact of your average 17th Century Georgian mansion, you are looking at a whopping carbon footprint. Our castles will be built using top quality new and recycled stone and ethically sourced timber without compromising on quality.
So yes, you can re-build Downton Abbey in Outback Australia using true blue Bundanoon sandstone mined, cut and dressed in Australia with recycled timber interiors. You can rebuild Le Petit Trianon in Massachusetts using dimension stone from Berkshire quarry. The possibilities are endless.

I suppose it’s clear I did not win, but I’d love to see who the winners are and offer my enthusiastic support and help in any way I can.

Posted at 18:26h, 06 MarchMy ultimate goal is to travel around and coach people all around the world and help them find the best possible ways to live a healthy life. I’ve always been huge fitness and health nerd (minus some of my slip ups with nutrition – Hey, I’m human).. and having been a personal trainer, run coach, and yoga instructor for some years now, I’ve been able to see the difference in the lives of people when they take control of their lives. I recently moved to a new city and have been struggling getting into the fitness community, so I started my website (kitchenmadeabs.com) so I could help continue to make an impact and advise people on how to make healthier lifestyle choices. That’s my dream and it is in the making…

Posted at 08:02h, 23 JulyI am on a similar mission to yours. I want to transform the world of small business by helping people understand a better way to network and build community. If I had the help of anyone, I could spread my ever-growing knowledge base about how to create authentic relationships and build a powerful network to all the corners of the globe. Taking this course would not only help me reach more people – it would give me more spreadable knowledge about how to better connect with others.

Posted at 09:07h, 23 JulyCWA is opening up again! Party time!
1. My life would still be the same, at least for the next 2 years. I wouldn’t want to change it because I have discovered the passion I want to pursue for at least the next few years, and I have designed a routine to help me execute this plan.
2. I would help people not only find a way to quit their jobs, but also discover what they are moving towards by quitting their job. I will create blog posts, courses, books, and custom strategies to help them transition out of their jobs, and into freedom.
I want more people to start doing what they love and what makes them come alive because what’s the point of living if you don’t enjoy your time here, and leave a dent in the world through your body of work.

1. I would think in terms of value for people
Would think that the best what I have, I would give them.
2. I want to change the world by helping people with personal effectiveness and communication with others (communication is very important in our development!).
It would also be cool if I started the business with the best service in my country ( in Ukraine)
What would you do if you had the support of anyone in the world?
-I start to speak boldly in the halls, giving people the best that I have.
(I already got to speak in the hall with 20 people =))
-I would have started to communicate with the best businessmen of my country, America and Europe (because there quality business at a higher level)

Posted at 19:30h, 23 JulyIf I had the committed support of even just one high achiever, global philanthropists would come alive in a way they never imagined possible. Essential Philanthropy is the highest experience of humanity, because when we look into the eyes of those we help and see our reflection, we are liberated from the questions that terminally undermine our highest potential. Those being served also receive an infusion of insight into the limitless possibilities for their lives, and they come alive as well. If I can connect with the right high achiever eager to support my journey, I can definitely make that happen in the shortest possible time frame.

Posted at 21:36h, 23 JulyMy life would be different because I would help young girls/women build confidence and decrease self-hate through fitness and nutrition. By giving them the tools they need to lead healthy lives & empowering them to see their potential, a new generation of people able to live their legend would grow. The less self-hate young women experience would mean less hate towards others (think Mean Girls, it’s real life), creating a culture where we believe there is enough success and happiness for everyone to thrive in – healthy minds and bodies are just the foundation for endless opportunities & prosperity.

Posted at 22:36h, 23 JulyIf I had the help of anyone I would be inspired and confident. I would help spread the importance of taking responsibility for our own lives (happiness, health, career, relationships). Too many people settle for the “normal lifestyle” that the media sells us. It’s time for more people to dream outside of the box; Take ownership and create the ideal lifestyle that each of us were meant to live.
It is inspiring to see everyone’s responses 🙂

Posted at 05:52h, 24 JulySo, you want to know how would my life be different if you had the help of anyone you wanted?
Wow! Imagine the possibilities! To be able to breakthrough the barriers I’ve placed in my mind and have all the support and encouragement of those who have “been there, done that”?! I imagine my life would be an incredible wonderful journey of learning and experience, and with what I learned, how I’d grown, I could help so many others do the same thing!
What would I pursue, what would I create, what would I do?
I would pursue knowledge, trust, growth, creativity, courage, love, excitement and adventure, of course! I would create hope, encouragement..and I would love to foster a community of carers. People who would want and desire to help others. Dreamers and do’ers! And..a homeless shelter for kids and teens. That would be uber cool!

Posted at 06:41h, 24 July1/ Luminous surfaces glow because of the energy they have absorbed over a period of time. They were connected to the correct power source and as a result, they are different, and they reflect that change. By being with the right person at the right time and in the right place, you can’t help but be changed……..the secret is to then do something with it. I want to be plugged in so I can be empowered to change and then change those around me.
2/ As a result of #1, I would pursue my dreams and make them into realities, encouraging others to change their life circumstances from depression and boredom to passion and excitement. I would create music and environments that would enlighten and inspire others throughout the world no matter the language or culture. We were designed to create, designed with a purpose, and true happiness and fulfillment will never be realized until we understand that. I want to be a messenger, a facilitator and entrepreneur of change.

2. What would you pursue, what would you create, what would you do?

In this way I could find my purpose and be confident I am really supported by life. I would study yoga and begin to really live yoga. If owning a studio doesn’t strike me as enough, I would start a Waldorf school. I would assemble a host of caring individuals to support the children, the parents and the community in a holistic approach to life, where children will know themselves first. And when they grow up they can look another person in the eye with confidence. (heart)

Posted at 11:20h, 26 JulyI want to start an online business that will provide income to pay the bills while I pursue my dream of training my dogs to be therapy dogs. I want to be available during the day to bring my dogs to schools and hospitals to visit children, especially those with special needs or illnesses.

I would finally be out of an enviroment that is ” blah, blah ,blah that’s not pratical. Blah, Blah, Blah, you should be this and this and this.” Freedom!

Posted at 14:28h, 27 JulyIf I had the help of anyone in the world I would quit my corporate job and pursue my passion of working with animals. I have always dreamed of working with big cats, specifically tigers, in order to ensure survival of the species. I would also like to create a charity to help end the euthanasia of unwanted pets and try to find them forever homes. I would love to be a positive example to my nephew and show him that if you can dream it, you can accomplish it.
