19 Nov Everyday Legends: From Landscaping to Keynotes: Interview With Dustin Hogan
Hi, legends,
Earlier this year, I introduced our Everyday Legends Series to share stories of people (just like you) who have turned their passions into profits – because I know that fear and self-doubt are simply part of the path on any journey of entrepreneurship or trying to build a non-traditional career path. However, when we have reminders and advice from others who have moved beyond that doubt, it can provide encouragement and inspiration for us to do the same.
Over the past few months, we have looked at a number of varying stories including:
- From Superbowl to Stylist with Alli
- From Teaching to Traveling the World with Travis
- From University Professor to University Founder with Michelle
- From Big Law to Leaving Law Behind with Casey
- Turning Passion into Profit While Working Full Time with Craig
- How to Supercharge Your Strengths with Debra
And today, I am sharing the latest interview in the series: From Landscaping to Keynotes with Dustin Hogan of The Rockstar Academy.
Dustin’s story is such a great example of what can unfold when you follow a passion for something (NOTE: we define passion, not as the thing that is enjoyable, but rather the thing you are willing to keep showing up for). His first path led him to follow his passion for music, which eventually led him to where he is today… I don’t want to give too much away, so take a listen!
But what a reminder that the best things rarely happen overnight… yet, when you remain committed and don’t fall into your fears, things can unfold even better than you could have possibly imagined.
I really hope you enjoy this interview and if you are interested in finding out more about what Dustin is up to, then check him out here.
Until next time,
– Chelsea Dinsmore
P.S. It still amazes me that we can record these interviews from across the world but sometimes there are connection issues in doing so that I don’t realize until after the interview has been recorded – so apologies in advance there was a bit cut out in the beginning – but stick with the interview, as it clears up – and Dustin has some fantastic advice!
P.P.S. If you didn’t have a chance to check out our interview with Craig, I would encourage you to do so as a tribute to this wonderful and amazing person. Unfortunately, this legend recently left us all too soon. I admired Craig deeply for his curiosity, his commitment to learning and his desire to always find better ways to walk through the world. I am eternally grateful that he shared his bright light with our community and the world. <3
