15 Sep Scott Dinsmore: In Memory Of The Greatest Living Legend Of Them All
Dear Living Legends,
It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we write to let you know that the incredible Scott Dinsmore has sadly passed away after being hit by falling rocks while nearing the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. He was traveling with his wife, Chelsea, who is uninjured and has safely returned to the United States.
As we all grapple with this devastating news and heartbreak, we can take some comfort in this amazing community Scott has created. He leaves an incredible legacy of possibility, inspiration, and downright action.
As you all know, Scott was out there living his dream and truly lived each day without regret. His infectious energy, smile, passion and fearlessness were an inspiration to all of us. Scott is someone who has changed the trajectory of so many thousands of people’s lives. And he didn’t just talk about living a life of passion and purpose, he was actually out there doing it. Being the change he wanted to see in the world.
Together we can carry his spirit in our hearts and more than that, keep on taking massive action to live our own passions, to do work that matters, to live life to the fullest, to support each other in community, and to be that change he embodied.
Scott intentionally built the Live Your Legend community to be bigger than just one man. That was his motivation behind the LYL Local movement. He never wanted the possibilities and community to be limited to him, and it is a testament to his heart, passion, and vision that his amazing legacy – this community – will indeed continue on. We have a lot of details to sort out about what the future of Live Your Legend will be, but just know that there is a future, and our why is already crystal clear.
Our primary concern right now is ensuring that Chelsea and the Dinsmore family have the privacy and space to grieve. So we ask that you share your support and stories at the Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/scottdinsmore/
We’ll be in touch on Thursday with another way you can share your love and support. We appreciate your patience until then.
With gratitude & much love,
The Live Your Legend Team
