03 Jul One Action Successful People Take to Create Tremendous “Luck” & Get Consistent Results
The Action That Leads to Big Things
Last night around 100 inspiring people gathered in a very old outdoor amphitheater in the middle of Paris, France to join my good friend Leo Babauta and me for a joint Live Your Legend Local + Zen Habits event (it felt more like a party to me – and was almost certainly the coolest venue we’ve had during all of this year’s World Tour).
The energy and possibility from everyone on those stone steps was contagious.
As I looked at the crowd, I noticed they all did something very unique that night. Something most people convince themselves not to do.
Every one of these people took the action that I believe has more to do with making progress and getting results than probably any other. It’s what separates the dreamers from the makers and doers.
I like to think of it as how to create “luck.” But when you pay close attention, you know that’s not what it is at all. I prefer to call it serendipity, but that really doesn’t do it justice either.
It’s the consistent pattern behind every success story.
And that’s the subject of the new video I just published for all of you on LYL.
Take a few minutes to check it out…
One Action to Create Tremendous “Luck” & Get Consistent Results
Own What’s in Your Control
That’s all we can do.
A lot of life is out of our control – but not everything. There are some things that are fully within our own influence. Actions that don’t require anyone else’s permission to take.
It is our responsibility to identify those and make a habit of consistently acting upon them.
Over time, that is what changes everything.
Let’s own it,
-Scott
P.S. A huge thank you to the LYL & ZH Paris crew for doing what you did last night, and for making it such a magical night for Leo and me (and my parents, who happened to be in town!)…
Our next World Tour stop is Morocco this Sunday, then Sevilla, Spain. If you’re in or around Marrakech or Sevilla and want to be a part of an LYL meetup, send me an email or leave a note in the comments.
