The Aligned Life School is a course designed to provide inspiration and education about why you do what you do, so you can work with rather than against your human nature.

It’s especially helpful for people who are navigating transitions, no matter how big or small. This could be the loss of a job or a relationship, defining a new purpose after retirement, discovering a new identity when your day-to-day circumstances change, or managing the more difficult transitions in life, such as the loss of a loved one.

These transitions can shake us up, leaving us confused, lost and hopeless- but not too worry, that is the nature of our being. We are hardwired for a singular purpose – to survive, so change at any level, while not always rational, is a threat.  

This is a 6-module course covering:

Module 1: Getting Real With Where You Are

This module is designed to help you get a better understanding of where you currently are, where you believe you want to be and what is in the space in between. We are going to take a look at the relationships you have with different important aspects of your life.

Module 2: Why We Do What We Do

This module deconstructs the basics of how we function as human beings. Of course we are all wired a bit differently, but this module is designed to give you a better understanding of human behavior, psychology and our fundamental human needs— because the better we understand why we do what we do, the more we can leverage our human nature rather than work against it. We will take a look at:

  • Understanding the conscious/subconscious mind
  • Needs and desires that must be met by all human beings
  • The Triad that Makes Us Us: The Mind, The Body, The Spirit
  • Emotional Spirals and how to Design Empowering Spirals vs. Those That Sabotage

Module 3: Bettering Your Beliefs

This module we take a deeper look at how to live more mindfully so that you can better manage your mind rather than having it manage you. We will cover:

  • Mindset Management
  • Becoming More Aware
  • How to Dictate Your Thoughts Rather Than let Them Dictate You
  • Replacing a Reactionary Approach so That you Act with Intention
  • Redefining Your Beliefs so That They Serve You Rather Than Work Against You

Module 4: Bettering Your Behaviors

This module takes a deeper look at ways to build better external systems and behaviors that are more aligned with who you are, where you are and what you want.

  • Your Identity is in the Driver’s Seat Which is Why Change is Hard
  • How to Re-identify during a Transition
  • How to Build Habits That Leverage Your Human Nature

Module 5: Building Your Emotional Emergency Tool-Kit

This module is designed to help you build your emotional emergency tool-kit, so when things come up (such as doubt, fear, self-loathing, etc.) you have tools, tricks and tips by your side to help you get perspective and grounding versus you falling into the fleeting (though seeming permanence!) of these feelings.

Bonus Module: Beyond the Mind

In this bonus module we are going to get a little woo-woo (don’t worry, I always say that I am the most normal woo-woo person I know!) and cover topics that dive a little further beyond building the muscles of our beliefs and behaviors. We’ll cover:

  • The Law of Attraction 101
  • Quantum Mechanics
  • Dreaming your own dreams, and deepening emotions such as gratitude, love (vs. obsession), self-compassion, getting aligned with your health goals, and much more!

I believe that with the right tools everyone can align who they are with where they are and what they do, regardless of what is happening around them. To me,  alignment means: finding harmony with your internal and external world.

So if your external world unexpectedly changes, and you don’t realign your internal world alongside that, life will feel like a fight.

The same is true for when our dreams, hopes, values and desires evolve — and they will because this is part of being human!

If your internal world evolves and you don’t make external changes to what you do to match that, life will feel like a fight. This is why we can be chugging along and feeling fine then suddenly wake up feeling off or in a place that, just yesterday, felt comfortable.

So… The Aligned Life School is a ‘school of thought’ that gives you tools to live life more mindfully. It helps you look at your internal systems (thoughts, beliefs, values, desires, etc.) and align those with your external systems (what you do, where you do it, how you do it, etc.) so that you can find harmony between the two.
